14 more days before...before...something happens...
Here’s a list of true events I’ve lived through in the last few weeks—assembled in somewhat chronological order. Keep in mind I wrote this intending it as a comedy, but since it’s an actual abridged chronicle of my life, it reads like a horror story.
I expect nobody will laugh when reading this.
And I find that so unbelievably fucking funny, oh my God.
December and 2022 are over, January and 2023 are here, and this means, it is time for the second one of my Tempo Boost Story Polls on Patreon!
Good morning. This is, from my point of view, a comedy blog. From the point of view of my family and loved ones, it's a horror story.
I'm so fucking back, baby. Hi, all. Did you miss me? I know I did.
The Tempo Boost Story Poll makes a return! Last month's poll had to be sacrificed to health issues and this month's also has to happen a little late, but I spent my Patreon income for November, so I will of course deliver the poll and, if there are any votes, the chapter for the winning story. And, hey, at least the number is aligned with the month now! The Tempo Boost Story Polls are finally back on my Patreon
Do you love the concepts of the show, the more serious implications of world-building, and the easy libraries to find topics that interest you? Have you ever read a story with an exciting idea that wasted it for a gag? Did you ever see something that would make a fascinating headcanon, if only it was done in a way that played out more seriously? Well, this is the group for you.
I want to try out another writing experiment. A couple weeks ago, I was sitting here at my computer during a thunderstorm at night, when I suddenly heard the crying of a little girl coming in through my open window. Followed by a flash of lightning. It was an eerie cry and it got me to think about what things might lurk outside during such a thunderstorm in the middle of the night. And then there was this sentence in my head, this question..... "Maybe the little girl needed help?". Of course it
I'm sorry the poll is a little late this month, I am sick at the moment, but it needs to go live eventually, so it's voting time on my Patreon account!
I'm coming out of a few, tough weeks, as I have been affected by a certain case of cancel culture that has happened in the fandom. This month's Tempo Boost Story Poll happens late because of that, but the poll and the number of days to participate remains the same. I'll have to crunch to get the winning chapter out at the end of the month, but nothing changes for you if you vote.
.
And the story already continues! This happened faster than I thought. There was a short thunderstorm on Monday and this means I could sit down and write the first update after the start and initial announcement.
My aforementioned tooth problems have delayed this a little, but here is now the new Tempo Boost Story Poll on my Patreon! Like in previous months, you can vote for one of my multi-chapter stories to receive an update before the month's end.
Here's how it works:
Yesterday, I said I’d maybe take a break from recent story reviews to work on my own stuff.
Then my feed exploded with stories.
You monsters. It’s almost like you want me to keep reading!
But for all your work, I am grateful – today was a very good day for pony fiction.
Today’s stories:
Comma Comma by Soufriere
Princess Cadance’s Official Princess Harem of Imported Humans from Another World by Skywriter
The Road Goes On Forever by Augie Dog
You have been disappointed, questioned your life, possibly considered wandering forever, but for those of you who made it through somehow. here is your reward!
you thought it was over after 3 part? well my friend.......... you were correct.
I've had fun writing. I hope Dagi and Vital did too.
now if you'll excuse me, I'm in need of mind bleach.
Been a bit remiss in doing reviews since the last writeoff, so I figured I’d climb back on the wagon today and catch up on some of the stories I’d missed.
So, I watched the Gauntlet of Fire, and I just wanted to note that this episode, for all its strengths, really also shows that the show’s creators continue to struggle with using characters as bystanders, as well as character development.
I honestly thought for a moment that this was who she was going to fall for. The episode kinda made a joke related to it, but I guess it was ultimately never meant to be...
Happy Easter and merry April Fools Day! May the Mighty Bunny grant you the gift of many candy-filled eggs.
It's Tempo Boost Story Poll Time again! I'm sorry it's once more a little late, I was too out of it because of too much training and exercise the last five days.
Let's start:
