*AGGRESSIVE HUMMING IN THOUGHT* · 3:26am Jan 20th, 2016
Do you ever work really hard on a fic and it's really indulgent and stuff... And then you worry about publishing it because you're not sure if people actually wanna look at it?
That's kinda where I'm at right now.
Why can't I just stay in the trashcan where shipping trash like me belongs.
And I'm mad 'cause I am literally 55 words away from having 8,000 words for this fic.
If there was ever a better description for my imagination, it's this.
Now I'm gonna sit here and hum even more aggressively. HMMMMMMMMMMMMM
Omigosh that episode. It felt like the entire time Peridot spoke about her TV experience was the writer's way of "subtly" poking fun at the fans. I must say I feel numbered amongst those who would go on advanced tirades about their favorite TV series.

Yep.
Sounds about right, sometimes, I look at a chapter, and I really like what I did with it, but, a writer liking his own work? That's not a good sign, right? I'm supposed to be my greatest critic!
And it really sucks when you post something you really liked, and then only get two comments on it. Had that happen once and it kinda consumed me for a few days.
So, yeah, I can at least empathize with what you're saying.
Yup. That sounds like what I do. Look at my work until I hate it.
I know how that feels. But sometimes, you've got to have faith in your work, and take the plunge.
If you like it for reasons more than a giant string of super private inside jokes than others will like it - there's a reason so many of us follow you.
"Humming Intensifies"
To do or not to do, that is the question. ;)
I feel the same way... But I don't lose hope x3.
Y'know, if Peridot was a Martian, she'd probably say this:
Just ship the s**t outta this!
Totally agree
