Gauntlet of Fire was SO GOOD but SO QUICK. The premise was awesome, the new lore was awesome, the cameos and new characters were great, but there was too much to cram into a 20 minute timeslot.
It's an episode that sounds an awful lot like my time in Dark Souls this week.
So, I saw the premise for 'On Your Marks', and was thinking it looks interesting. And it was OK, I guess. There's just one teeny, tiny, little problem...it basically ended up being an Apple Bloom episode.
In this week's episode of MLP, Spike, along with every other dragon, is summoned to the Dragon Lands by the Dragon Lord to compete for the honor of becoming the next Dragon Lord. While hesitant at first, Spike decides to compete in order to prevent any bloodthirsty dragons from becoming the next Dragon Lord...
Dragons! Adventure! Dragons having adventures! And a Spike episode that almost everyone enjoyed. Truly, this a time of wonders.
Might contain spelling errors even tough I tried to fix a few. Yes i made another one-this episode seemed to have some meat to it even if there wasn't a ton of super-lore I got world building. Yay!

So, I watched the Gauntlet of Fire, and I just wanted to note that this episode, for all its strengths, really also shows that the show’s creators continue to struggle with using characters as bystanders, as well as character development.
