Unlike my first story, I am going to wait until I finish the full story to release it. The only info that I will give out is that the excepted name will be The Shard of Mystery.
This sequel will also be relatively short and have lots of action, that's pretty much how I like to write stories.

I've lost track of how many stories I've seen that, despite getting the spelling and grammar quite correct everywhere else, did not punctuate the dialogue properly. You can easily avoid this by simply reading the information on dialogue in the linked page, particularly the information on said tags and action tags. So

I still watch some of the episodes (mainly the darker/more action packed episodes), and I love the comics, even more than the show. But I don't have interest in writing fanfics any more.
My first fan fic (Rainbow's Secret) is going to be about 4-5 chapters or if it gets popular it might have about 7-8 chapters! I will have about 2 updates a week on this story, until I start another story, but there will still be about two story updates (random stories of course) per week or if something happens in my life I might not have an update at all in a week or two. I've had little motivation to write lately, and, as cynical as it sounds to me, a paycheck might just be what I need to start writing again. I'm gonna keep this quick and simple. I'm opening up five slots, I'll see how it goes.
Rules:
One thing I often see writers struggle with is physical action: things like fight scenes, races, or the like. Sequences where the characters are moving a lot and interacting with other physical elements in a short space of time. I struggle with it myself, come to that.
I always struggle with the perceived imbalance between verbosity and exposition. Mainly, how can I produce the desired narrative direction and foreshadowing with the least number of words? I cringe reading sentences with four adverbs. Reading paragraphs that are 70% prepositional phrase sometimes forces me to close my browser. Thus, one can understand my dilemma in writing a far-future Equestria that requires a ridiculous amount of descriptors to adequately engender.

Didn't get much in terms of actual writing down this week. Slow week and with my real life focusing on a rather large cleaning project of our downstairs and helping watch my sister's kids I don't have much to report in writing.
So I got some advice for my writing that actually is helpful. A friend of mine said that while the action scene in the first chapter was fine, it kind of dragged on too long. This is something that I fully understand. How I'll do things now is cut up actions scenes and cut to different scenes in the meantime, then get back to the action later. This will give the reader make everything much more well paced.
Well, I helped write a chapter in my fiancé's story. If you were all interested in deep introspective views on culture... this isn't it. It's porn. Very... VERY... weird (and probably off putting) porn. Oviposition, birth, pain, hyper pregnancy, among... other things.
The chapter has a mix of his and my writing styles.
If you're at all interested in seeing how depraved my mind is... this is what I find sexy. Most of the action is in the "Birth" scene.
One of the toughest bits with having to write stories is crafting a story to make the two characters you've paired up suit each other. Previous things I've written, like A Sweet Craving, were done easily enough because of how alive the characters already were.

You ever try to write one? Spolier, they're kinda hard to do. Which is why most action stories either condense the action to a minimal portion, or they spend way too long and way too much time writing them. SO, here is my proposal:
