One of the toughest bits with having to write stories is crafting a story to make the two characters you've paired up suit each other. Previous things I've written, like A Sweet Craving, were done easily enough because of how alive the characters already were.
Working on this story with Nurse Redheart, I admit it's been troublesome mostly because I've been trying to write something based off a character that we've seen speak perhaps once or twice in the show. I've therefore had to come up with a character template to design her a personality, background, and character traits just to make her seem more alive. The same for her partner, who I won't spoil here, but both needed this kind of thing, and I think that's something everyone can benefit from using for their stories. When you make a character, there has to be more than what we see on the surface. It's the little things, the small cogs we don't realize are turning, that can really get someone to appreciate a line of dialogue or a character's action. Not just because they themselves committed the action, but because it makes *sense* for them to do it.
Anywho; work is slow but steady. Expect the next story, Medical Relief, to be up in approx. 1-2 weeks, depending on my job and other things.
Oh, geez, I'm sorry. I didn't mean for my request to be that hard on you. If you ever need any help, I can give it. It's the least I can do for you for taking the request.
