So continuing from where we left off...
Pinkie Pie's element is laughter. Laughter? That's silly, I thought, it doesn't even fit the pattern! But then I remembered that humor is indeed a social activity. I really don't like the explanation for the Tree given in Shadow Play, Part 2. IMO, it reduces the artefact and removes much of the mystery and wonder for it. Instead, I find myself preferring another explanation. One much like this (with apologises to Arthur C Clarke):

Well, here we are... August and this is only my fifth blog post for the year. But I just finished watching today's episodes and I wanted to share my thoughts:

-now, as many bronies and pegasisters know there are six Elements of Harmony, and they were originally depicted with the six gems in that coat of arms logo before they turned into the actual elements. however we also know that none of the mane six have the Green Gem. so many people wonder and theorized what this 7th Gem could represent. for me. I've always theorized that the 7th gem represents something that I feel is missing from MLP, from both the show and in fanfictions.

Hello, everypony. Just wanted to let y'all know that the third and fourth chapters of Act 2, Shadow of Malice, are drafted and ready for edits, but my buddy who's editing the story is very busy and can't get to them at this time. Thank you for your patience and understanding! 
On a side note, with the latest chapters, it's been really fun building a region from the ground up. 
So a miracle happened and my friend's laptop just started working again a couple weeks ago after just going dark on him back in April/May. Progress wise we've given first edits to ch3 of the second Act, and on my end I'm at the tail end of drafting ch 11 of the second Act. After that the grand finale of the second Act is right around the corner! (putting in edits to a2ch3 as of this moment)
...In my opinion, BUT you mileage may vary. This scene between Twilight and Cady I have been sitting on for quite some time, so I just really wanted to get it out into the open finally. I was going to post it around the con... but that didn't work out.
I do hope you enjoy it despite it's smaller word count. Look out for chapter 6 to be a much longer one (if all goes well).

I'm back with another episode review. This time, we're taking a look at Discordant Harmony with some of that FlutterCord awesomeness. Anywho, as usual, there are some spoilers to be had, so check after the break for the details!
Alternate alternate title: "The Blunder Down Under".
It's a shame "Blame Australia" doesn't have the same cadence as "Blame Canada" because goddammit fuck. I mean, it's nice that we can get into the hiatus after actually having watched half the season instead of 11/26ths of it, but aw who am I kidding, I haven't seen ponies in weeks and I've been loving it. <.<
Anyway, this episode wasn't worth seeing early.
I'm not touching Chapter 6.5. It's an omake, which you're not supposed to take entirely seriously to begin with. Besides, it'll be a nice little window into how much I've improved down the line. Other than that... I think I'm done editing the story. Standard operations can now resume. I highly recommend rereading Chapter 6, as I changed a few things in order to both improve the flow and fix the continuity issues the rewritten Chapter 1 caused.
