Hey guys!
I just have to point this out because life is really cool sometimes.
Yeah, the MLP movie is coming out on my birthday, and I already have plans with at least 6 of my friends to go see it opening day. It's gonna kick some serious ass.
I'll have fanfic related news later, but i had to share that.
So, I've never done a blog on here, but I think this movie is a good enough reason to write one.
I'm sure many of you are going out to see the movie, so I'll keep my thoughts spoiler free. So, what did I think of the movie?
I thought it was good. Not great, but definitely good
Even though my city got themselves an Alamo Drafthouse Theater earlier this year, I actually haven't visited it until last night. And I gotta say, making my first visit to the theater for My Little Pony: The Movie of all things was a pretty special moment! I met a bunch of other bronies since it was a 10:15pm showing (there was literally one little kid there), I got to experience what the Alamo Drafthouse was about, and I had a really good time watching the movie.
I’d like to thank you all for getting my latest story (MLP Movie: Rainbow Dash Does Everything) into the popular list! Totally wasn’t expecting it as I put hardly any effort into it and only wrote it to get it off of my mind so I could focus on other ideas. It just goes to show that you never know how a story will be received!
The MLP movie has airships, and Twilight nearly failed all of Equestria.
The latest episode has Twilight boarding an airship cruise with her family after seemingly beating herself up over something.
Coincidence?
Now, who wants some airships in mah stories?!
So, the MLP movie finally came out on dvd and while it was a good movie in general, it did feel very... incomplete. So I thought I'd just toss out a small review type thing, mostly just a list of the pros and cons of the movie. Don't expect it to be very cohesive though since I've never done this before and I'll be watching the movie at the same time. Will also be no real order as I will just put it down as it comes to mind. So yeah, spoilers ahead.
Just saw the MLP movie a second time in theaters. Debating throwing more of my hard-earned money at it for a third viewing.
When it was first announced that MLP would be coming to the big screen (that wasn't EG), I didn't really think much of it but was excited to see what they came up with. As time went on, however, I began to realize this movie is a lot more significant than most people were making it out to be. If it does well, we could see 2D animation return in full force to cinema. People who watch this movie could be inspired to become better, and considering all the shit that's been happening recently, I
Or would you rather have her in a supporting role in the next film? Or just have her fade?
Why or why not?
The show has done a pretty decent job of not mentioning any spin-off material so far. Actually, I believe the sirens in the Season 7 finale flashback were the very first piece of Equestria Girls continuity we ever received in the show.
Honestly? Full brutal honest opinion? I ADORED THE MOVIE It was everything I wanted it to be! And the best part is that you can feel the love and dedication put into it. That's what I love most about this show, I think, how much the staff loves working on it. It was absolutely touching for that reason alone.
Soooo... while goofing off on the internet I came across something... interesting. Turns out, the My Little Pony movie actually got a dub in Hebrew and it's... something. I could only find trailers of it and I both cringed and laughed. Want to hear how My Little Pony sounds like in a completely different language? Check it out.
It was a good movie, it was fun to watch and had a good mix of funny and serious moments. I'm unsure of how I feel about Twilight's behaviour, still I like Tempest's character and it was all good, still where was Discord during this, I was secretelky hopinh he'd turn up and ask who the hell was toying with the sun and moon, causing chaos is my job you know.
I went and saw the MLP movie tonight with my Oldest! I highly recommend that you see it as well!! There are a few things I wish they'd done differently, but it's good. I've got no real spoilers below, other than: there is a bad guy! and our heroes must fight him! which involves a journey and stuff!
A lot has happened this year. The Lego batman movie came out in February, Chuck Berry died in March, trump is president, and one of my neighbors vied just this past week. But there are more things just around the bend, like the Lego Ninjago Movie is coming out this September, the new My Little Pony movie is also coming out this October (bronies rejoice), new Lego dimensions character pack will be available in August. So a lot to remember, to regret, and to look forward to. There
I went to see the film on Friday night. Gorgeous scenery and the different looked didn't bother me as I'd anticipated it would. Story was a bit weak, but I feel like the 1986 movie was even weaker. Some thoughts on one of the characters after the cut.
