Or would you rather have her in a supporting role in the next film? Or just have her fade?
Why or why not?
The show has done a pretty decent job of not mentioning any spin-off material so far. Actually, I believe the sirens in the Season 7 finale flashback were the very first piece of Equestria Girls continuity we ever received in the show.
Myself, I can't be sure. Would it be nice if she makes an appearance? I don't know, primarily because it's a role that Starlight fills plenty well already.

Tempest honestly should do like Sunset. Stick to her area, ie The Movie. Mainly because it just wouldn't feel right seeing her in the more stiff Adobe Flash animation of the show.
Every now and again sure, she is a strong character with a a well placed story, she has much more reason to done what she did than any of the villains thus far, and she turned not because of goody too shoes, but because she was back stabbed by the other villain, Tempest is a solid character, and it'd be nice to check in on her sooner or later.

Of course we need Tempest in the show! She should become Twilight's new friendship student since she's done with Starlight, and then they should totally fall in love and snuggle with each other every single night.
Because two cute pones in the same castle = love = snuggles = more love = more snuggles. =D

In the show.
Her character offers a lot of potential for interesting storylines of her trying to fit in with society. Furthermore the mane 7 could put all they've learned over time to use and help her, in a more detailed manner than with Starlight.
It would be a shame and total waste to see her fade to be honest, and she played too big a role in the movie to just go away, so i expect at least mention of her and cameos in the show tbh.
Maybe occasionally, if they could find some kind of niche for her to occupy.

I would say no. There's to many cooks in the kitchen as it is.
I don't think the Sirens were the first EQG continuity we had. During the episode where Cadance visits Twilight for the Starswirl museum, Flash Sentry is one of her guards as she gets off the train.
We need more purple edgehorse in our lives. At the very least it could give her more character depth, reveal a Cutie Mark, and maybe give Starlight another ex-baddie buddy. Also, Twi really needs some guards, so...
She is voiced by Emily Blunt, so I'm unsure if they could really get her in a regular appearance schedule. Discord and his actor is one thing. It's possible that Tempest could appear in an episode or two about her growth and I think that could work. So if I had to say it, a couple of episodes and appearances in future films would be the most likely if they wish to use her again. Although, she might end up like the sirens. Very popular but never utilized again. However, the pony show does a much better job of using its material and we have seen the return and will see the return of previous antagonists so it's not unlikely that she will appear again.
It would be interesting but Tempest may be played by another voice actor.
