Honestly? Full brutal honest opinion? I ADORED THE MOVIE It was everything I wanted it to be! And the best part is that you can feel the love and dedication put into it. That's what I love most about this show, I think, how much the staff loves working on it. It was absolutely touching for that reason alone.
Now, I would give it a 20/10, no joke, but I can see my own biases in this. All my favorite characters had the most screen time, all my favorite tropes where done. My favorite types of songs, my favorite types of humor. It honestly felt like the director had called me and asked what I would like the show to be about. It hit all my sweet spots that well. The villain scared me, the jokes made me laugh, the songs made me dance, I almost had a heart attack along with Twi because of how many times they almost died. Oh and don't even get me started on Pinkie and Twi's fight. I may have freaked out a little more than I should have.. The only way it could have been better was if it had been longer.
But... that means others might not like it. Others might be upset their best pony had little screen time, they might thing somethings were overdone, or that it was too dark, or that it was too light. They might give it a 65% on rotten tomatoes. And that's fine. People have different tastes.
But for me? I loved it. I know everyone making it loved it. If you want to talk HEAD-CANNONS or geek out about it with me please please please do.
AND I AM BEGGING YOU SEE IT IN THE THEATER IT LOOKS SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER ON THE BIG SCREEN YOU ARE MISSING OUT ON SO MUCH IF YOU JUST LEAK IT I PLEAD THIS IS FOR YOUR OWN GOOD
Going to the theater to watch it again tomorrow?
Going to the theater to watch it again tomorrow.
Seriously though, the way they expanded the world... It feels like some kind of Shortskirtsandexplosions X Estee hybrid. I love it
I'd say close to 100%... the Cutie Mark Crusaders didn't even get one single line...
Don't know what's up with that. Still, it was pretty freakin' amazing.
