I’m just gonna go ahead and call the sequel to Space Horse “Equestrian Human”, ‘cause it still sticks pretty close to the naming scheme, without sounding too awkward.
The final chapter includes the (temporary?) cover art for Space Horse.
I finished up Lab Horse on my old (but good) laptop in the car, which I'm still in as of now, connected to the internet using my phone as a mobile hotspot.
Amazingly, the middle of nowhere has internet.
I'm updating again.
Starting with Equestrian Human!

Hundreds of views, and dislikes, too.
I have no idea what’s going on with that story.
I’d might as well bring a darker side to the series, so why not?
Looking at where the story is at this point, all I can say is that between it and Shattered Rainbow taking place in the same universe, at the same time, it'd be pretty hard to actually get back to updating either story.
The plots of both stories are completely unplanned and quite messy, with the Lab Horse series actually being made mostly of filler material, and lacking a central plot ever since the end of Space Horse.
Muwah Ha ha ha...wait. Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas. Here's some art. In all fairness I haven't drawn pony art since April 1, 2011 so, I apologize if the Dexter's Lab Equestria fan art isn't up to ponatomy standards. If it makes you feel better I don't think I had it quite right the first time either. http://apocalypsepony.smackjeeves.com/comics/1156393/april-fools/
I didn't really color it, not that it would have been a chore at four colors.
Just because there hasn't been chapter updates doesn't mean that it's not progressing.
I'm currently doing some catch-up in Shattered Rainbow to get that and the main series back in sync as far as time goes, and I currently have ~300 words written for the next yet-to-be-published chapter. Once that's done, I'll get back to Equestrian Human and tie things up across both fics.
I'll post a follow-up blog once it's completed if you wanna see it. For now I'm planning on using it as a way to be able to quickly reference events that happened without having to go back through the story or search the bare-bones storyline I have, since about half of the series is improv while the other half is actually planned.
With the end of Lab Horse drawing near, it's about time we begin to talk about the sequel.
A) Space Horse. Gadget miscalculates her teleportation and instead finds herself on a space station.
There wouldn't be very many chapters, as the usable world and scenery would be pretty small.
Added multiple ideas to the new Universal Framework for Pony-Me's original fiction adaptation, and worked on chapters for two currently-unreleased stories that I plan on publishing soon.
I should probably get back to working on the Pony-Me fan character story, shouldn't I? I've been so busy with life and new story ideas that I nearly forgot that I still need to work on it.
If you haven't realized, I've essentially been using fanfic writing as a way to improve my writing skills, partially so I could try making something completely original, and partially so that I'd have some sort of fallback if something happens.
One of the more obvious stories in which I tried to be a bit more original is Lab Horse and Space Horse, with Equestrian Human tying up the series as of now, but also returning to a much more closely-linked relationship with MLP.
Across every incarnation of Zoey that's existed across my stories (including before I even started writing on Fimfic!), one thing is always certain: she's childish as heck, and is pretty much guaranteed to be in her teens or younger.
I will put Into Equestria on an indefinite hiatus for the time being. Maybe I'll figure out what the heck I want the story to be to me someday, or maybe I'll even rewrite the thing a second time. The fact stands that I have no direction for the future of the series, save for the original fiction adaptation that I've continuously set aside now to try and shoehorn my way through Into Equestria. I'll be working on that instead of Pony-Me's sequel from now on.
Yeah, yeah, I'd be killing reboots. Not like I haven't done that before.
Point is, I haven't so much as thought about those two fics for several months now, though I do still want to see them completed at some point or another.
I've finally decided. I'll write out the final story arc of Equestrian Human, likely merge it with Shattered Rainbow, and write a sequel that may or may not have the rating bumped to "T" due to an upcoming conflict that'll begin in the final chapters of EH.
From there, we'll see what happens...
As for now, I now have to work on tying up two stories in preparation for the merger.
Apparently this
Is doing immensely better than this now.
I guess that's just saying something about plot stagnation when the author runs into multiple writer's blocks, huh?
