Hey everyone! First, I wanted to say thank you to all the new followers I got following the release of "Reaping Rainbow" as well as to the huge number of you who faved the story. Its success was quite unexpected, but I'm so glad people are enjoying it. Anyway, the next chapter is being worked on and will hopefully update soon. I just got a bit caught up with things in real life, but I'll get back to work. I'd hate to disappoint my readers, after all.
My followers I have written a mew fic, "The Lost" a more dark and comedic take on meh usual HiEs. (Seeing I'm a sad and pathetic man that is all I can write...I joke, I'm perfect). Anyhow please, if you could, take a gander at the first chapters and let me know what you all think.
Meanwhile, I'll sit here and twiddle my thumbs while kicking this wall of writer's block in order to progress in my other works.
It's Not "Gary-Stu," It's Combo-Man!
An unfinished story that anyone can take if they PM me.
Whelp, look who’s at it again:

I heard this as 'Canterlot Cannibals' the first time and I was both relieved and disappointed to find out I'd misheard.
[Edit: No, listening to it several times I'm CERTAIN she said cannibals. And it IS in the restricted wing...]
So, as of late I’ve been watching The Regular Show (wow, an MLP fan watching TRS, I wonder why that would ever happen), and as I write for Pharynx now - a character who’s rather iffy to write for, as he’s only had one episode of speaking, with fleeting and silent cameos in the finale and The Best Gift Ever aside - I find it a little easier than before.
If you weren't paying attention to the last couple of blogposts from me, this is the first of a new twice-a-month update post I'm doing. If you follow my blog, One Man's Pony Ramblings, then this is all stuff you've seen before. But if not, or if you're someone who just needs to be reminded that things outside of FiMFic exist, here's what I've put up on my review/writing/ponystuff blog since last Monday:
It's that time of year again! Go slap a Santa hat on your avatar, if you're the kind of person who thinks that's fun! If you're the kind of person who thinks that's sorta dumb, then feel free to not do that thing, though. I can relate; sometimes I think things are sorta dumb, too. But personally, I kind of like this tradition, and even if The Descendant's not around to pimp Santa hats, I'd be happy to see it keep being A Thing.
I'm back home now, and I suppose it's time to retire the santa hat for another year. Oh well; into storage it goes!
If you don't religiously track my blog, One Man's Pony Ramblings, then today's your lucky day! Head below the break to see all the exciting things you missed, and to catch up! Or to see all the boring things you missed, and skim past them. Your mileage may vary, I suppose. But hey, I thought they were all pretty interesting posts...
We're edging closer and closer to the end of summer. I don't have any particular comment on that, other than to say that I'm against it on principal. I've never understood the "after a few weeks off, I'm ready to go back to work" crowd; it's not like I hate my job, but would I rather be able to sleep in, see my friends, and get some reading done? Uh, yes?
So, how's everyone's bracket doing after the first week? I, uh, might have had Louisville in the finals, so... yeah. Hey, at least I don't need to pay too much attention for the rest of the month!
Which, of course, means more time for review-reading! Head down below the break to see what I've been up to on my blog, One Man's Pony Ramblings, over the past few weeks.
I recently competed in the writeoff minific round, and you know what that means... I'll be publishing a new story soon! Or, I'll have a new chapter in my minific collection. Could be either-or, really; look for To Be Forgotten to show up later this week. I'll probably blog a little bit about it too, even if it's just a "by the way, it's here now, go read it" dealybob.
Confirming a long held rumor, Robert Downey Jr. will indeed be appearing in Spider-Man: Homecoming, partly due to how well he and Tom Holland (who is playing Peter Parker) got along on the set of Captain America: Civil War.
It is currently unknown how big Downey Jr.'s role is going to be.
Give and Take is on its way to moderation. Keep an eye out for it today!
Literally my face right now.
It occurred to me, as I was assembling screenshots of Carrot Top from The Gift of the Maud Pie to include in tomorrow's blogpost on OMPR, that I do a lot of stuff with Carrot Top. Which is fine, of course; I wouldn't if I didn't enjoy it, and she is definitely the cutest representative of a race/cartoon defined mostly by their/its cuteness. But it all happened gradually enough that it kind of snuck up on me; my most popular early
It's been a long weekend. A good one, but a long one, visiting friends and family. And getting home much later than I planned to, and barely making it to work on Monday as I continue to try to make up the sleep and energy deficit I'm running. I can't even tell myself I just need to make it to next weekend, because that's the barbershop district convention... that my barbershop chorus is running. So next weekend will be herding a few thousand old men around and trying to make sure everyone
A preface: This isn't just about MLP fandom, it's about the nature of fandom in general and will most likely veer off into "Old Man Yells at Cloud" territory at some point.
Sure it's a thing for children but Ariel came the fuck out of nowhere because the magical necklace Sofia has summoned her or something like that. And they start singing. Be
