Review Roundup: July 25th - August 5th · 10:25pm Aug 7th, 2016
We're edging closer and closer to the end of summer. I don't have any particular comment on that, other than to say that I'm against it on principal. I've never understood the "after a few weeks off, I'm ready to go back to work" crowd; it's not like I hate my job, but would I rather be able to sleep in, see my friends, and get some reading done? Uh, yes?
Be that as it may, autumn comes for us all... but not yet. And if you're looking for some review-centric blogging to read as you pass these last lazy days of summer, look no further! Here's what I've been doing in the last two weeks over at One Man's Pony Ramblings:
Monday, July 25, 2016: Mini-Reviews Round 143
Short reviews of Arcadia, by Blueshift; and On the Historical Significance of Battle Lederhosen, by MrNumbers
Wednesday, July 27, 2016: The Truths Our Stories Tell
A few reflections on how an author's worldview and unique perspective can impact his or her writing.
Friday, July 29, 2016: 6-Star Reviews Part 163: Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons
My review of Somber's epic-length tale of Wasteland adventure, horror, and discovery (and y'all thought I'd never actually do it!)
Tuesday, August 2, 2016: Episode Talk: S6E13, Stranger Than Fan Fiction
Well, with an episode title like that, I pretty much had to talk about it.
Friday, August 5, 2016: Mini-Reviews Round 144
Short reviews of Twilight Sparkle Does Not Like Bees, by Honey Mead; Grey, by Foehn; and Patience, She Said, by TheMessenger.
Counterpoint: the end of summer means the beginning of football season (with the start of the NHL season right around the corner as well).
