When new princess Twilight becomes curious of Celestia's history, the elder princess reveals to her a story older than time, and with it surprising secrets and details of their world's past.

Two weeks has passed since the conflict started and Equestria found itself surrounded on all sides by former allies turn enemies.

A train carrying Nightwatch and Royal Guard troops back from the Northern Front is scheduled to stop in Ponyville, where the soldiers have almost a full day at their disposal to enjoy some R&R, before they are shipped out to the Eastern Front.

And they all plan to take advantage of every last minute of it.

Luminestra, the Princess of the Stars, has been locked away in her castle for centuries while suffering from amnesia. Now, she has emerged to find somepony to teach her how to fly again, choosing Rainbow Dash to help her. After trying countless methods, a discouraged Dash steps aside to let Luminestra's oddball Equidroid companion try his hoof at teaching her, with immediate success. With her flight restored, the Star Princess refuses to land and soon finds herself wrapped in a blood-spattered crossroads of memory known as the Rainbow Factory. From here, the story splits off into either a lovely fairytale ending or a gruesome horror story.

This story contains some semi-detailed violence, slight amounts of light romance, and possibly some mild language.

It was a horrible summer. The sun's merciless heat had scorched Sweet Apple Acres, and caused a severe drought. The Apple family faced losing the property, since they had no bits to get water or pay for the land. Big Macintosh makes a desperate attempt by borrowing money from a shady faction. The money does wonders to help, but Big Macintosh is in debt. The ponies he borrowed from make a threat against his family, and he has to undertake a dangerous and difficult job to save them. How will it all turn out?
