Being the Princess of Equestria is busy work. Luna would know. She raises the sun and moon everyday, looks over the dreams of her beloved subjects, and, well, runs Equestria. Now, in addition to all that, she must find herself a protégé, before her sister's banishment ends!

But, that isn't the problem. The problem, is that three particular fillies stand out for the role!

Who will she choose? Can these three fillies become friends? Who will become Equestria's future savior!?

Meet Pat the changeling. He's in Ponyville on an exchange programme to further pony-changeling relationships.

Based on the small changeling that appeared briefly in Slice of Life.

Two Trixies. One tires of her shows being nothing more than smoke and mirrors and wishes for real magic. The other just wants to be appreciated and accepted.

Each Trixie has what the other desires, so when they get the chance to trade places with each other, they of course take the chance. Will they truly be happy with their new lives, or will their exchange take a sudden bitter turn?

Featuring: Trixie, Cherry Jubilee, Applejack, and Twilight Sparkle.

Trixie runs from Ponyville after Twilight vanquishes the Ursa Minor, but where does she go? She doesn't have a home, her wagon is gone, her show was a disaster... She has nothing. She ends up in a new town with new ponies who know nothing about her; whom don't even know her name. But the traumatic events of Ponyville still haunt her, changing her on the inside, closing her off from the outside world. She finds herself relying only on the friendship of a doll; willfully or not. That is, until her past catches up with her. Can anyone crack her shell?

After traveling Equestria and finding no place she belongs Trixie returns to the one place that felt different; Ponyville. She has chosen to swallow a little (just a little) bit of her pride in order to ask the only pony to ever have impressed her for help. She wants Twilight Sparkle to become her teacher in magic...and in the ways of friendship. She hopes to improve herself, but she keeps having these second thoughts...

This story is told while alternating viewpoints between Trixie and Twilight Sparkle. The ~~~~ symbolizes a perspective change.
