I had wanted to do a Pinkie Pie story that delved into her personality, her history, and her talents. I also wanted to open up some of the potential that her talents gave her and see her do more, but when I got to the point where she actually starts to go down that path, I ran into a brick wall. I couldn't figure out how to make the story do what I wanted it to. Then came "Filli Vanilli", which has become my favorite episode of all. In analyzing it, I came to an interesting point of view on what took place there that melded perfectly with the story I was trying to tell. So a little rewrite, and here you have Filli Vanilli - behind the scenes.

Discord comes to visit Ponyville after a new neighbor moves in, and Fluttershy's delighted to see her friend! However, the rest of the Mane 6 seem skeptical of the chaos spirit's sudden appearance. Is he here to simply say hello, or is he up to his old tricks again?

When attempts to get Fluttershy to dance fail, Discord opts instead for ice skates on this sunny afternoon by the duck pond.

Fluttershy has her eyes on a brand new hat, but can't afford it. Discord wants to show her how much her friendship means to him. But chaos is rarely useful. He's going to have to do some old fashioned work.

Takes place after the episode "Keep Calm and Flutter On" while Fluttershy believes that Discord is truly reformed, Rainbow Dash remains skeptical.

Edit: I have fixed most of the spelling and grammar errors that I could find and extended the story a bit so, hopefully it'll make a bit more sense.

Discord has been reformed for quite some time now, and so far, everything seems to be going fine.

Fluttershy doesn't think so, however, so she sets off to talk to him.

After all, what are friends for?

Discord's cold heart has been touched. Fluttershy has done her job. But the journey to reformation can't be made in a single crossfade. This is the story of what happened between the first moment of doubt and his presentation to Princess Celestia.

It was just suppose to be a normal semi-chaotic stroll through Ponyville, how did Discord end up here? How in all of Equestria did Discord become the good guy! He can't even be bad now that he tries, non of his chaos is going the right way!
