Life can be tough for a farmer. After a rough season Big Macintosh needs something to keep his strength going, fortunately, something worth living for isn't far away.

This is a short fic I did to fill in some time for my other stuff. Feel free to criticise and tell what you did/didn't like. Fic based off of the pic I used for the cover art (full credit to BobtheLurker for his art)

It was a dream Fluttershy had had many times in the past year or so. By the light of the full moon, she'd fly to the Sweet Apple Acres orchard, making small talk with the bats as she enjoyed a few apples.
But when one of her "dreams" takes a different turn, she and Big MacIntosh find their waking world turned upside-down.

Fluttershy met Flare, and they started dating. He's popular, cool, and smooth. Her friends thinks he's a great stallion. But when things start getting serious, she starts having second thoughts, especially when she has feelings for another stallion

On Hearth's Warming Eve, Fluttershy waits, alone, in a run-down barn for her last hurrah. The final holiday party with a certain somepony as circumstances have forced their paths to part. But fate is funny sometimes, and may take things in an unexpected direction.
