Something a Little Different · 10:00pm Jun 5th, 2021
This afternoon, while I was chipping away on my newest testament to depravity, I had a thought. So I've been doing this writing thing for a hot minute, cranking out a story a week for years now, but I've never really did much blogging - as such, I figured I'd change that by getting input from y'all - bearing that in mind, I had two questions:
1) How many of y'all want to hear the disjointed ramblings of a crotchety old man? Trust me, if y'all were interested, I've got plenty of dubiously sage wisdom and some damn weird stories to tell.
and secondly
2) Would y'all want to know anything about me or the blithering drivel I routinely publish? Seeing as how I'm not on the FiM Fiction Discord server, and rarely socialize in the horse worlds servers, I'm a bit curious if y'all have questions for a veteran of the fandom.
Anyhow, regardless of your thoughts on the matter, thanks for taking the time to read this.
Stay hydrated, have a pleasant afternoon, and try to enjoy the remainder of your weekend.
Ciao for now!

Can you tell me how to become immortal?
I'm always happy to see more blogs from the people I follow! I don't always comment but I do almost always give them a read
Always up for dubious crotchety old man wisdom and weird stories haha.
Personally, any insight into writing is always a plus (especially from someone who's stories I enjoy so much!). How you form ideas, writing different personalities etc; I've just started writing again now that I'm on holiday proper but I fear my anon will end up devolving into default silent anti hero archetype from my early RP days lol never went full edgy but strong silent was always a default mood.
Stay hydrated Leech, always a pleasure.
Do you listen to any music before you begin writing your stories? Get inspired by something?

Forgot to mention it
I'll answer any/all questions in a blog next week!
I have a question. What did you think of M.A. Larson's writing for the show?
I personally thought it was fine, even with its flaws, but I just love the whole "LARSON!!!!" joke that I've been hearing so much about. It's just really funny to me.
Honeslty id really like to hear who your favorite characters are and why.
Chugging some water right now after reading this. Thanks for the reminder.
It would be interesting to hear about how/why you started writing.
Do you remember the SOPA and PIPA bills that were going to get passed into law? That for me was my first time seeing ponies. Such wonderful times.
If horse words where banned forever, how would you cope?
How do you get yourself into the 'zone' when you write? Specific music, place in the house, lights off or on? That sort of thing.
Followed you after I read 'The Next Chapter', before I realized that it deviated heavily from your usual writing.
So, my question is this: Does that sequel I saw mentioned as a possibility in the comments of that story still exist as a concept in this day and age?
I wouldn't say no to hear/read the ramblings of a fellow old fart. Be fun to compare notes.
I'm just wondering which of us is the older geezer
So long as it's not click-bate BS like what The Abyss posts then I'm all for it.
Always game for hearing about the metaphorical man behind the presumably equally metaphorical horses mask. or not. Maybe you, for reasons that are yours, have a literal horse mask, I don't judge.
Would you try to write something serious and emotional in the future?

Seconded.
From one old Plug to another...let's see who is older. Trade you a few "been there done that " stories. I'll start with..Did you know you can drink beer while on duty? Balad Iraq, I'm sitting on an ice chest fixing an engine on a F-16c in one of huge aircraft bunkers that was one of Sadam Hussain's pride and joys! One of the crew chiefs tapped me on the shoulder and asked if he could get into the ice chest. I stood up and he quickly snagged a NA beer out of the chest. I looked at him and asked " You can do that?". He laughed " Why do you think command sent us 50 pallets of this crap? You can't get drunk on it and it's kinda like water with another flavor. " So I grabbed one too and went back to work. When I finally finished my task in the 123 degree heat (even in the shade) I had gone through several of the cold cans of "why bother ". I went back to my section and grabbed my supply guy and told him to grab the fork lift. A couple of forms and a few minutes later we were on our way back to our section with about 10 pallets of NA beer ! War is hell.....he he he!
Well up to you if it makes you happy or just want to try it, but it would be nice to hear from you more often and be part of the community more
