Post-Election Blog · 4:34pm Nov 4th, 2020

I am both very relieved and very disgusted right now, for the same reason.

To begin - as I type this, Biden is projected to win 271 electoral college votes. I've been watching an election map all morning and you cannot imagine my relief and excitement when Michigan turned blue. Now I don't assume this means Biden will win, I am not so foolish. The votes aren't all counted yet, voting this close will surely be subject to a recount, Trump made no secret before the first vote was even tallied that he intended to challenge the results in court, and if the Presidency is awarded by the electoral college in a single-digit margin, the electors could yank the rug out from under everyone. So even if the results as they are stand by day's end, this battle isn't over yet and unfortunately it is now entering the phase where we can't fight it any longer.

But I want to get my thoughts out now because well, it's timely. Even if Biden ended up being declared winner when it is all said and done, we all knew this would not be the end of America's nightmare. The division and hate Trump has spent the last four years spreading would not magically vanish, his supporters would not give up and go home, and Trump would not slink into the shadows and stop tweeting. Electing Biden was just the first step to trying to heal, and the process would be long and difficult. And I mean decades long, Trump's election is the sum result of decades of racism, ignorance, partisanship, and degradation of America's systems of democracy. That stuff is not going to be fixed in one four year term and not even two, and not just by the President. This is not a surprise.

What is surprising is how close this election is going to be.

I did not expect a huge blue wave to sweep Biden into office, I am not so idealistic. But I had hoped his win would be secure and definitive. What happened (or will happen, if these numbers hold) is the opposite of that, Biden inching his way into office by beating Trump by hairs. Even if he still manages to flip North Carolina, Georgia, and Pennsylvania by the time the counting is done, Trump still got over 67 million votes.

And to all of those 67 million voters, I say - what the fuck is wrong with you people?

I've said before in blogs that even if I strongly disagreed at the time, there were arguments to be made for voting for Trump in 2016. I do not hold any presumptions or grudges or anything like that against someone who voted for him in 2016. And I've also said before that I do not make presumptions of people who vote Republican. Issues like gun control, abortion, LGBTQ+ rights, socialized medicine, climate change, you cannot assume that just because someone is a liberal or a conservative how they feel on these issues. People are more nuanced than that and it is not fair to demonize them all with labels like "Republicans are racist" or "Democrats want a socialist state."

But this time, there is no room for that nuance. You either voted for Trump, or you didn't. And under that umbrella of "you didn't", maybe you voted for Biden, or a third party candidate, or refused to vote at all, and we could have discussions on your choice. But there is no discussion to be had if you voted for Trump.

We've put up with him for 4 years, and over time he has just gotten worse and worse. We have seen him pander to conspiracy theorists, deflect blame for his failures onto others, take credit for the accomplishments of others, attack anyone who criticizes him, abuse his power, argue with other government agencies and officials (some of which he himself appointed), allow hundreds of thousands to die from a pandemic he insists is over, and every day we have seen him lie, lie, lie, lie.

And this is not the media brainwashing me, this is not TDS. You can observe for yourself that he is an awful creature. He has never tweeted sympathies or condolences to the victims of Covid-19. He has shut down the government when a Congress his party controlled refused to give him funding for the border wall, and then used FEMA to circumvent their decision. He has attacked peaceful protests and demonstrations and ordered them tear gassed for a photo op, while speaking highly of his supporters that shutdown a freeway and a bridge into New York on election day. He refused to cooperate with the impeachment inquiry into him even though Congress has full constitutional right to investigate such things and expect cooperation from the President. We have seen him scale back White House press briefings, and when reporters ask him questions he doesn't like he insults them, ignores them, or just ends the meeting and walks away.

And after 4 years of this, 67 million people said "I want another 4 years."

If you don't like Trump but voted for him anyway, or if you genuinely support him, I don't care. What matters is that you voted "yes." We all knew what he's like this time, we cannot hope like in 2016 that he might behave himself once in office, we all know he will not get any better and will just get worse if he wins another term. And you decided you wanted him to have that second term. Even if you don't like him, you decided that as horrible as he is, he is not so horrible that you'd vote for someone else.

I have no patience within me anymore to give you people the benefit of a doubt you no longer deserve. I'll state my opinion plainly - if you voted for Trump in this election, you're either an idiot, an asshole, or both. Because you're either ignoring or not noticing the damage he has done to your country, or you're seeing it and deciding you either don't mind or approve of it. Idiot or asshole, take your pick.

And if you voted for Trump and feel like trying to defend your decision in a comment, don't bother, there is no defense. "Biden will be just as bad" - no he won't. "Trump is doing good things for the country" - no he isn't, and the small handful of things that could validate that claim are hugely outweighed by all the bad things he's done. "Trump hasn't gotten us into any wars" - no, he's just ordered the assassination of an Iranian general on Iraqi soil and engaged in a Twitter war with Kim Jong-un, both of which could easily have escalated into a war and the first still could. "He's been good for the economy" - yeah, the strong economy he inherited, slowed down under his presidency, and is on the verge of another recession after his terrible handling of the Covid pandemic. "Well, my life has gotten better under Trump" - yeah, and everyone else's has gotten worse, and while I really can't fault someone's interest in their own well-being above others, I also question if you can really fully attribute your improved quality of life to things Trump has genuinely been responsible for. "He's draining the swamp" - no he isn't, Washington is still full of the same career politicians it has been for decades and he's done nothing to stem that.

Oh yeah and speaking of the swamp, it looks like the Democrats aren't gonna flip the Senate, so most of the Republican Senators including Mitch McConnell and Lindsay Graham got re-elected. So over a million people in their states also decided that they want 4 more years of them. Voting for them could be defensible, again I cannot fault you if you are genuinely seeing your life improve as a result of their leadership. Except both of them have bad approval ratings and their states are ranked as in the bottom 10 in the country (which I'll readily admit is not entirely their fault, states of course have their own legislative bodies including Governors, but I'm just saying). So I'm really having trouble explaining every vote for them as being defensible self-interest.

I said in September that Trump needs to lose to send a message to the rest of the world. I said that Trump embodies the worst stereotypes of Americans the world holds - an ignorant, bigoted, arrogant, selfish, loud-mouthed asshole who puts himself before others and insists he is the best at everything. I said that you should vote Trump out to send a message to the world that his win was a fluke, that he does NOT stand for all Americans, that his hate has no place in America, and that enough of you will stand up to his hate to decisively vote him out.

Well, Americans failed. They demonstrated that his win wasn't a fluke, because just under half the voting public does believe Trump represents them and they do believe there is a place for his hate in their country. And that is horrifying and disgusting.

Buckle up, my American friends. Because even if Biden is sworn in on January 20th, with how this election went, I'm still worried for the future of your country, especially 2024 when Trump or one of his kids will inevitably run for office. And from where things stand now, I won't be surprised a bit if they win.

I stand by your side Drakey:twilightsmile:

I feel like the US will always have the good side, the bad side, and the more ugly side to it.

I just hope for a better future for the people.

"Trump hasn't gotten us into any wars" - no, he's just ordered the assassination of an Iranian general on Iraqi soil and engaged in a Twitter war with Kim Jong-un, both of which could easily have escalated into a war and the first still could.

Trump did start a war-on home soil by stoking racial and class tension. These are going to a very bumpy few days, but I agree totally with what you say. This has been a messy, horrific, and at times demoralising four years, and I echo your words when I say this to those who voted Trump in the full knowledge of the monster he is.

Shame on them.

Trump will not run in 2024, that much I can say for sure. Why? Because once he's no longer a sitting president he will facing a lot of litigation and lawsuits over his criminal practices when he was a candidate for president. His options will be either: Go to court without Barr's protection and try to pull a "Not guilty by reason of temporary insanity" defense, or flee the U.S. and hide in a country where he believes they won't try to negotiate for his expedition. And if either of those things happen I suspect his family will either cut ties with him to save their own skins, or follow him into hiding.

However, I harbor no illusions about the GOP changing their ways. The good news is that some of the states they've rigged in their favor will no longer be in their pocket after 2020 thanks to voters. But at this rate I think even Biden is going to have to accept that the Senate he knew is no more.

But maybe if a second round of business closures unfold because the GOP refuse to support a stimulus or roll back their tax cuts, maybe if the ACA is gutted and the GOP refuse to put forth a replacement or negotiate with Biden to get a new plan, and maybe if abortion rights and LGBTQ rights come under fire, that'll make people realize what's at stake.

Lol stick writing stories and keep away from politics neither of the choices for president in the last 5 elections were any good for this country trump actually started off pretty good then became an idiot and Biden is all but a registered sex offender Hillary was a thief and traitor to America while Barack while trying to be good ended up ignoring problems he had the power to solve but didn't so the country is basically a lawless state no matter who won sorry to burst your bubble

I would love to think that some folks only voted for four more years because after that he can't try again.... but I'm not so blind. I know that's not it.

It does disgust me that many folks still voted for him after four more years of his cowardice, racism, ignorance, and general horrible dickatry that he's done..... but it also warms my heart that while maybe the 2016 election wasn't entirely a fluke..... this also is going to be proof that he also wasn't chosen COMPLETELY because people like him..... that most people DO have a set of standards and have something akin to a real moral compass. Biden's victory is going to be a wonderful sight to see.... and I'm going to love the sight when the win comes and they Trumpets are all crying and whining that they have to accept that cruelty and cheetos aren't going to be accepted anymore.... for now anyways.

A couple of things we can all agree on 100%
- The polling firms who put out public polls over the last several weeks are hopelessly inaccurate. This has been true every election. We're idiots for listening to them.
- We make fun of Florida for 2000. In 2020, we have *5* states who still can't call their elections due to chasing down loose ballots. Florida is done and reported. Florida Man (and Woman) aren't so dumb after all.
- Kansas gets made fun of too. We had our ballots all counted by around 9PM (except outstanding provisional/absentee ballots, which will be tricking in by mail until the 9th, and are counted at the time of receipt). Nyahhh.
- Fox News had an almost unwatchable disaster on air last night. Everybody who showed their face, everybody who hired anybody who showed their face, should be fired today. We could hire random people off the street and get better election coverage.
- NPR is so solidly biased that they may as well have hired Hunter.

One note on impeachment: During the Mueller investigation, the Trump administration extended unprecedented access to the investigators. Even Mueller admitted it under oath. During the later House impeachment effort, conducted in the Foreign Affairs committee instead of the Judical committee where it belonged, the House as a whole had not authorized the committee to issue subpoenas to the Executive office, therefore every 'subpoena' issued by that committee for Executive office documents was invalid. They could *request* testimony and documents, but they could not *require* production of such. Pelosi could have simply held a vote of the House *before* the committee began their investigation, but she did not, and therefore lost in the courts when they attempted to enforce their invalid orders. It's really that simple, and has substantial legal precedent, so it's her fault. Read the decision from the DOJ.

I concede that is interesting and new to me. So all of Trump's Tweets at the time about refusing to comply and orders to his administration not to comply were just bluster?

5392072
Sounds like some typical Trump shit. Say something good is happening to him when in truth he's scared and crying and hoping it goes away because he knows it'll screw him over bigger then he wants to admit.

Georg #9 · Nov 4th, 2020 · · 2 ·

5392072 No, they were statements of fact. (which I'll admit is rare from a Trump tweet). He was not 'campaigning' during the call, he was attempting to assist an investigation of a Federal crime, i.e. the admitted influencing of the former Vice President by way of his son's employment with a Ukrainian company. He was not legally required to comply with the Foreign Affairs invalid subpoenas, but he still released the transcript (the day before Pelosi had scheduled a grandstanding demand for it, which left her with egg all over her face), allowed aides to testify to the conversation (which for the most part consisted of "On page 14, paragraph 5, you said.... Yes, that's correct."), and had to put up with various administration officials testifying in the 'vault' under oath, then saying completely different things to the cameras right after. I swear, half of their revealed testimony consisted of telepathic observations. "So, did you think Donald Trump was intending to xyz...." I haven't seen so many politicians with daggers ready to be metaphorically plunged into a back since Caesar. (No, I'm not that old. Quite.)

Georg, I'm not going to touch most of the stuff you just posted, because frankly, I don't care. I don't care if you support Trump! I don't care if you think certain news sources did a good or bad job, or are or aren't biased! I don't care what you think of Trump's impeachment! Those are all your opinions, and I welcome you to have them, and I welcome you to share them. That's great!

But please, please, stop lying to people about how voting works. When you post blatantly untrue stuff like this:

we have *5* states who still can't call their elections due to chasing down loose ballots. Florida is done and reported.

It's bad for America. Not bad for democrats or republicans, for America. Please, stop lying in ways that undermine our country, and people's trust in the fairness of elections.

For the record, we have a number of states (more than five, according to the Trump campaign! They'd contend that AZ, at least, isn't out of reach yet either) where they can't call the elections because they're still counting ballots. They're not "chasing them down;" they're counting them, and a fair and accurate count can take a few days, depending on how many election workers you have, how long it takes to get the ballots to them, how long it takes them to get those totals to their state's SoS, and whether they're working round the clock or not. This happens literally every election year. When the states which a candidate won comfortably and which can be called quickly total 270+ electoral votes, we just don't notice it as much, since it doesn't affect the presidential outcome. This is a normal occurrence; representing it as the Keystone Kops chasing imaginary results isn't just disingenuous, it's a lie. And it's a lie that makes people distrust a system that, whatever systemic flaws you want to assign to it, is currently doing exactly what it's supposed to.

As for Florida, as I type this it's at just 96% of all votes counted. It's already been called for Trump, of course, but that doesn't mean that the rest of those votes don't count. Like I tried to remind you yesterday, those votes still count, and they will still be counted, and although they won't determine who gets Florida's electoral votes, they still matter. Implying otherwise baselessly undermines trust in the electoral system. Please, stop doing that.

I've read a number of your stories, Georg. I know you're an intelligent person; an idiot couldn't write as well as you do. So I know you're smart enough to recognize that what you're saying is untrue. There's a word for that:

Lying.

Please, have your political opinions, share your political opinions on people's blogs, disagree with others... that's all great!

But please,

please,

stop lying about how elections are run. Lying like this can only hurt this country, not help it.

And I know you're smart enough to see that.

Anyone who voted for Trump in 2016 and felt remorse can be forgiven. It seemed like just another election. We didn't know.

Anyone who voted for Trump in 2020 is a cretin, a coward, and a traitor. I would not trust them as far as I could throw them, and I want nothing to do with any of them. It only gets worse if Trump somehow squeaks out a second term, which I doubt will happen, but there are still questions as to whether supporting Trump for longer than the first year of his term in in any way forgivable.

And unfortunately, if Trump wins, his followers will feel entitled to make everyone else's lives worse, while if he loses, they'll be mad and try to make everyone else's lives worse anyway. The best we can hope for in the next four years is Biden getting us out of Covid lockdown. :(

1. The US election system and methods are totally idiotic and total catastrophy. Our, Russian, is much, much better.
2. All could be better if democrats did not try to overthrow Trump all the time since 2016. And did not try to pretend, that they are not f*cking morons, corrupted to the core morally and physically.
3. Biden vs Trump is like Alien vs Predator. All of them are monsters, but Predator is humanoid, at least.

I'm surprised a lot more violent stuff hasn't broken out yet.

5392113 They're probably waiting to see how it all plays out. I heard there were planned protests and even strikes if Trump tried to steal the election or refused to accept a loss however narrow.

Huh. It’s almost like this country is built on white supremacy.

Weird.

Prak #16 · Nov 4th, 2020 · · 2 ·

Speaking as someone who supported neither Biden nor Trump, I am shocked and dismayed at the utter hatred openly displayed by many members of the community right now. Demonizing and dehumanizing millions of people based on their political opinions cannot lead to anything good. Extreme political polarization is turning people into monsters who increasingly feel justified in using violence against people on the other side, and this madness seems like it's only going to escalate as time passes.

For me it boiled down to the fact Trump at this point flat out admitted he was lying his goddamn ass off about the pandemic back in March when he said "one day it will be gone, like a miracle" or some bullshit.

He knew. He fucking knew. He cared more about looking like he was in control than actually taking the steps necessary. And now we're almost at a quarter million people dead and the economy in a state not seen since the 1920s with a long, painful road ahead for recovery.

How anybody could see that, in addition to literally everything else he's done, and think that's better than legitimately anybody else...the only rational answer I can come up with is that it's purely party politics where Democrats are seen as all being Hilary Clinton, and the irrational just makes me weep for how stupid Americans have become in some places.

Granted, the problem isn't 100% Trump - Barr and McConnell need to be removed from power ASAP - but he quite literally is Nero, only instead of playing the fiddle, he's mashing keyboard keys on Twitter while America burns - also quite literally between the forest fires and the riots.

Really, it reminds me of lyrics from Hands Held High by Linkin Park.

Meanwhile, the leader just talks away
Stuttering and mumbling for nightly news to replay

And the rest of the world watching at the end of the day
Both scared and angry like "What did he say?

5392120
i am glad that I am living in Russia and our president is cool KGB guy. And that Russia is not on the same continent with the US.

5392120
While I understand the whole “we shouldn’t be divided by hate” the entire goal of the right has been sowing that hate against the left. I’m confident in saying the left is at fault here too but it’s so massively over take by the other side, it doesn’t matter what little of the left contributed.

I don’t want to hate the other side, but they sure as hell want to hate their so called “enemies”.

It’s abundantly clear how evil of a man Trump is and still 67+ Million voted for him anyways.

And two of the outspoken trump supporters in these blogs (you know who I’m talking about) have been cruel and vile almost as much as the president they support. I haven’t seen any type of commenters as vile as them that say they voted for Biden. So just in this little pocket of a website, the right has proven to be the more toxic side.

Do we fight that toxicity with love and passion?
Maybe but we have been doing that for 4 years now at look where that has gotten us. I’ve been respectful of Trump and his followers for so god damn long and it didn’t amount to Jack shit.

I’ll still be civil and respectful, because that’s just how I am, but I’m not going to fault anyone else for feeling done with it all.

Love and care too you all, I’ll be sitting fighting my own case of Covid in the meantime. Because of course me being the most scared of coivd would mean I’d end up getting it. “Because fuck you” the world spat back at me.

Edit: I guess I agree with you? But I understand where everyone else is coming from. I so badly what to call them out or some other hateful stuff because god damn it’s been so hard watching them spew toxicity around. I keep it in check, at least for the supporters while it’s gloves off for Trump, just for my own morals.

5392114
What if Biden will try to steal the election or refuse to accept a loss however narrow?

5392153

What if Trump will try to steal the election or refuse to accept a loss however narrow?

I fixed your comment there. It seemed to have a typo.

5392158
No, I am saying what i am saying. Biden is the old fart with senile dementia, corrupted morally and slowly corrupting physically.

5392163
Ok, whatever you say but I do want to point out an earlier example you made.

Do you remember how the Predators we’re portrayed in AVP right? Aliens were the hive mind collective, killing anyone in their path while the Predators are warriors with a code, that’s stops then from killing a terminally ill old man, and just want to hunt. Even being out the black female main character after she managed to defeat an Alien.

If that’s what the election choices are to you, then I can’t wait for my own sick ass spear.

5392171
Hey, man! I am Russian. From Russia - where bears on the streets, vodka, winter all the time and other klukva things. And from our point of view the US elections-2020 is not really Aiens vs Predator. They are more like Alzheimer vs Parkinson. And that is in nuclear country with one of Top-3 military forces in the world. Power-hungry Democrats made everything to unravel the the situation to its current state. The BLM nazis, vandals, looters and robbers - are their weapon, their fighting dogs.

5392163 Congratulations, everything you just said is exactly what Trump is. At this point, maybe the Trump crowd deserves whatever comes next. I think the lesson here is no one should try to reason with anyone outside their base anymore, now it's just a zero sum game where the winners get to make the rules and the losers just have to complain.

Georg #26 · Nov 4th, 2020 · · 2 ·

5392072 5392084 5392094 Dudes, I know *exactly* what you are feeling, and I don't blame you a bit. Take everything you've been saying and make two simple substitutions: Bill Clinton for Trump and 1996 for 2020. Clinton was (speaking politely) a lying sleaze, with a wife just as bad. From the Arkansas AG to the Governorship to the Presidency, there was no contributor they wouldn't shake down or intern... um... we'll leave that be for now. Upset that Trump was impeached? Clinton wound up impeached over two Federal felonies, not just a phone call. Think Chinese money is affecting Trump? Clinton was happily accepting campaign contributions from Charlie Trie and the likes for years. The list is endless, and yet I watched the election returns come in on 1996 like it was some sort of science fiction show when he got his second term.

Whatever happens, it's going to be a weird four years.

5392198
I don't recall the political scene of 1996, I was a little kid at the time, but I'm fairly certain Clinton didn't:

- constantly insult members of his own party who displeased him and declare that the opposition party was trying to destroy America
- tear gas protesters so he could hold a photo op and send anonymous federal troops into cities to enforce martial law*
- blatantly lie about his own accomplishments in his first term, including insisting that a pandemic that occurred under his watch was over when it demonstrably was not
- say things that his supporters interpreted as a rallying call to violence and intimidation of those that supported Bob Dole
- undermine the legitimacy of the election results in the weeks leading up to Election Day and directly stating he would challenge the results in court

And people probably did not fear that he may do these things in his second term. So I'm not sure this is QUITE the same.

*To be clear, using troops to clamp down on violent riots and looting, I can actually agree with that, obviously that behavior is illegal and should be stopped. Except meanwhile Trump was saying and doing things that just made the violence worse.

Georg:

I. Don't. Care. About. Your. Politics.

I don't care what you think of Bill Clinton. I don't care what you think of Trump's impeachment. I don't care how you feel about literally any person who ever holds, has held, or will hold, elected office.

Those are your opinions, and I have no problem with you sharing them. Knock yourself out, I promise I won't say a bad word against it! I'll even chime in and agree, if we happen to share an opinion on a person or issue.

All I'm asking, very specifically, is this:

PLEASE, stop lying about how voting works. Please stop spreading baseless misinformation that could needlessly cause people to doubt a valid outcome. If you have legitimate complaints about the system, that's fine, I'm not talking about those. I'm talking, very specifically, about the lies you are telling about that system.

Just stop that one thing. That's literally all I'm asking. Just stop lying about voting.

5392198
Even trying to compare Trump to Clinton shows what a tenuous grasp you have on reality.

Also, pretty sure I told you I'm not interested in hearing from you anymore. But in case I didn't: fuck off.

5392208

-constantly insult members of his own party who displeased him and declare that the opposition party was trying to destroy America

Clinton did the first thing (he coined the term Sister Souljah Moment doing it, but the most prominent official he did it to was probably Donna Shalala (note: I may have mixed her up with someone else; if I remember better I'll come back to this, and in the meantime welcome any correction)), but not the second. He was quite happy to work with Republicans to implement Republican policy, most prominently welfare reform (which amounted to a moralistic attack on the poor and working-class part of the Democratic base for the sake of appeasing a middle class that was only tenuously part of the Democratic coalition).

- tear gas protesters so he could hold a photo op and send anonymous federal troops into cities to enforce martial law*

The tear gassing of protestors was common throughout the 1990s, though there was no declaration of martial law (not that there has been one under Trump either - he does his extrajudicial murders of protestors ad hoc, without bothering to get legal cover). Both the Rodney King riots and the Battle for Seattle happened around this time.

And Clinton had Ricky Ray Rector executed as a publicity stunt to help his primary campaign in 1992, if not for a photo op per se.

To my knowledge, Clinton did not do the remaining three things on your list. I seem to recall him engaging in some puffery re progress made against AIDS, but what I recall is neither specific enough nor severe enough to my mind to compare against Trump's actions with respect to COVID (or indeed to Reagan's AIDS Operation Ignore).

But why bother defending Clinton when Obama is both a more recent and in terms of life-improving accomplishments a marginally better standard bearer for the Clintonite incarnation of the Democratic Party? Obama cracked down on Occupy, and was happy both to externalize American brutality to foreign countries and migrants and to propagate the underclass ideology that justified welfare reform, but he never had any mentally handicapped executed to prove how tough he was on crime and did manage to bungle the ACA through to passage.

I'm quite sure the Democrats don't actually know how to steal an election (in the US - some of their allies and allied organizations know how to do it abroad, as a Russian you probably know they stole Yeltsin a victory in 1996) and couldn't pull it off even if they wanted to. Which they don't. They are the party publicly committed to republican tradition and virtue, and have an interest in safeguarding the legitimacy of both the election process and the courts.

I heard a lot of people saying they aren't voting for Biden because of his age and the conditions he has. Just vote for the Democrats, throw Trump behind bars and if Biden dies the vice-president takes over. First female president sounds like an interesting change... While the orange trumpet manchild keeps saying the the virus is just a nothing. Millions of people have died and he's not even trying to show care. All he does is add fuel to the fire...
To any "Americans" that haven't. Read the damned constitution and you will see he's violated many of it's rules. And now he want it subverted. No one should be above the law.
And to those that still vote for that joke of a 'Human being' then if I could I would curse you and your families lineage from 2020 and onwards. I'll hold everything against you no matter how big or small.

This comment is probably going to be deleted but nothing fires up my pure hatred towards the rest of Humanity quite like politics does.

Hey, it’s zimmer. I have been wondering where you have where been.

It’s kinda weird to see very resonable takes from you. Huh...

Rather than D voters being reluctant to go for Biden, we've actually been seeing a lot of ticket-splitting where Biden voters plump for Republicans in the House, Senate, and state legislatures. Enough for the Rs to retain the upper chamber, and to narrow the Ds' majority in the lower (my conservadem rep got booted this year by an R, for instance, because in a situation where there are no good outcomes, the worst might as well happen).

Americans like divided government, because if no reforms are getting done, that means no one's sacred cows are getting slaughtered. Never mind that cows age and die relatively quickly, and the ones from the 30s and 60s/70s (the last good ones) are on their last legs.

5392330
Who are you and why do you care what I think?

5392341
Ouch, that hurt.

I’m no one and I don’t care what you think, I just recognize you as the proclaimed “twilight worst pone” as I’ve been hear since 2014. I might not of commented those first couple of years but I followed a lot of conversations.

Edit: even though all conversations here are text based, certain members are “louder” than others. You just happen to be one of them.

I guess I shouldn't expect anything different from a "ryssä". That's right; I'm Finnish, hence the slur. You people seem to love your own dictators and autocrats for whatever public consciousness you've had since Ivan the Terrible. You wanna talk dementia? If anything, Trump seems the more demented one with how he seems completely disconnected from reality; from how the worlds works, to what people think of him, let alone how just looking at his posture and habits (holding a glass of water like a baby), I'd dare say he's the one with the blatant signs of cerebral degradation. But right; he's the wannabe dictator of the U.S, therefore he must be great in your eyes.

Thank you! Biden may be shit, but still better than Trump and Pence.

5392373
Biden cannot even talk right.

5392412
He talk good enough for me.

5392145
Anyone complaining the left is hateful hasn't been paying attention for the last four years. Trump and his gang freely demonize anyone they don't like. A distressingly large amount of people think tolerance means just putting up with just about any behavior. No, you have to confront intolerance and hate or it will grow.

And two of the outspoken trump supporters in these blogs (you know who I’m talking about) have been cruel and vile almost as much as the president they support.

Well, I think I know one of them at least.

5392198
Clinton was impeached for lying to Congress about a blowjob, and obstructing justice in relation to it. Trump was impeached for Abuse of Power and Obstruction of Congress for trying to have a foreign country dig up dirt on a political opponent. They're not that comparable.

That aside, Clinton was still an awful president.

5392180
Already dead people of New-York are voting for Biden. Is It normal?

5392438
Then... if Biden trying to impeach Trump then every mean possible is right and legal? Are there still trying to find Trump`s connections with Russia? Even after Mueller comission could not find a thing? And if Trump doing the same thing to Biden - It is Abuse of Power and Obstruction of Congress for trying to have a foreign country dig up dirt on a political opponent? How is it?

5392415
He cannot remember its own name or the name Obamacare project.

5392451

Already dead people of New-York are voting for Biden. Is It normal?

Do you have a good source for this?

Even after Mueller comission could not find a thing? And if Trump doing the same thing to Biden - It is Abuse of Power and Obstruction of Congress for trying to have a foreign country dig up dirt on a political opponent? How is it?

What? The Mueller report did find "nothing", but he did not wish to indict a sitting president. And yes, it is abuse of power to withhold aid to extort another country to dig up dirt on an opponent.

And intresting thing happens in Michigan state...

The Mueller report did find "nothing", but he did not wish to indict a sitting president

"Yes, we did not find a thing, but Trump is still guilty". How is it? Explain me, please - maybe I do not understand something in the US democrasy and laws. Our Russian totalitarian laws expect some evidences of guilt to charge somebody with.

And yes, it is abuse of power to withhold aid to extort another country to dig up dirt on an opponent.

Even if they have it?

Not a US citizen so instead of going mental over an election that doesn't even take place in their country like some stupid far-right foreigners, I can only wish you the best for these 4 next years, hoping that any change of president for the USA will at least be some relief for you all.

(Writing this when Biden is mostly going to win with the last 6 electors of Nevada, even if Trump does everything to contest the election.)

Reps are red.
Michigan is blue.
Mail-in ballots counts.
"Fraud" is not true.

5392458
The problem is that even when stuff like this does happen, as it inevitably will, it won't be anywhere near enough to influence a national election. There's no evidence that this kind of thing is widespread, and it doesn't necessarily favor Democrats either.

"Yes, we did not find a thing, but Trump is still guilty". How is it? Explain me, please - maybe I do not understand something in the US democrasy and laws.

You can look at the Mueller Report if you want, he explicitly says that it does not exonerate Trump in any way, and if it did, he would have said so. He explains what he found on trump, but he didn't want to indict largely because of DOJ guidelines.

Even if they have it?

Doesn't matter if they have it.

5392473
What happened with presumption of innocence in the US? No evidence - no guilt, right?
And the corruption and crimes in some third world country do not make somebody criminal in the US? Very strange...

5392474 The Muller report explicity stated that they could not prove definitively either way, but they could not offiicially clear Trump of any charge.

You wanna talk about no evidence no proof, you should looking into the whole Biden thing. If what he was really wrong why didn't the GOP do something about it in 2015 or 2016? Why they did not care until 2019? The answer is simple, they didn't care because Biden wasn't a presidential candidate then, cause if he was they would've gladly brought up the charge sooner. It's just like with Hillary's e-mails or Benghazi. There's not actually a crime and the GOP admit as such, it's just an excuse to try and damage the opposition. Yet they whine about an investigation they signed off on.

5392639

The Muller report explicity stated that they could not prove definitively either way, but they could not offiicially clear Trump of any charge.

No evidence - no guilt. Everything in favor of accused.

You wanna talk about no evidence no proof, you should looking into the whole Biden thing.

You are talking about it like it is something bad. Biden, Killary and others tried to undermine Trump since 2016. What do You expect, he would not use anything against them when they are most vulnerable? That is Politics 101 for You - it is essentially dirty. But it looks that for You Biden and Co can use all the dirty tricks against Trump, but he cannot do a thing against them. Why? They and their supporters do not like it? Then they should not use it too - or should not whine later.

Michigan - 138000 votes in a row for Biden and no other candidate. How is it? Thrown away bulletins with votes for Trump - what is it? Twits about the Democrats frauds are blocked, with no likes, no retwits and the account is frozen - ask Matt Mackowiak. What is it? Russian elections are often called dirty - but we are angels, pure and clean, versus all that shitstorm of the US elections-2020. Or any other by the way.

5392677
How is it? Mail-in ballets.

What is it? Mail-in ballets.

What is it? Mail-in ballets

I mean we can tell you this for the next 4 hours edit: years, but you get the point, and don’t know if you will ever believe it.
