1. What is your first name?
I prefer not to say. Just call me Ixu (my name on discord) or some variant of Ice Star.
2. How old are you?
I'm almost 21!
3. What country are you from?
I'm from the northeast USA. It is part of my voice range is... odd, to say the least. I've never been farther south than Virginia or farther west than that other Virginia, but I'd like to travel more.
4. What do you look like?
I'm told that I look no older than sixteen, unfortunately. That aside, I look like I know how to skateboard. (I don't)
Being on HRT has really changed how I look compared to the one time I posted a (very bad) picture here.
5. What do you wish you looked like?
I wish that I looked considerably more like Rob Gavagan! I desperately wish I sounded like him too.
6. How did you come across MLP:FIM?
I talk about this in my Barcast interview. Suffice to say, I was ten and channel surfing for fun cartoons. I found an ad for the Hub and knew I had to watch whatever was behind the rainbow-maned pegasus they were showing off.
7. What is your favorite ship?
It is obviously Luna/Sombra. I don't know how much I should have to explain this one.
8. What is your least favorite ship?
I don't mind most ships at all, and I'm generally open to reading a variety of them and am sure there's at least one story that can be told well with a ship I don't like or at least make it semi-convincing within the context of the story. This goes even for the ones that have poor relatively poor chemistry far too frequently or don't sell themselves within the show/movies and stories. (By this, I mean that I've read at least three stories that have made good and passable Twilight Sparkle/Luna. Shocking!)
But ones that are actively gross or something? They're not ships 'cause they aren't romance. Incest, simulated kiddie porn, and rape are gross. Be butthurt about it. Turn off your internet forever and go fuck yourself with a powered-on chainsaw if that rustles your jimmies even remotely. I'm not at all sorry that you got it in your head I'd slap whatever category of fetishized sexual violence from your unholy trinity under something I'd like.

9.Have you told anyone outside the fandom that you like MLP?
My immediate family is well-aware that I like ponies and doesn't care. A couple of my friends from uni know, but I don't actively tell people I'm a fanfic writer, or at least not specifically what for. Most people know I do creative writing of some sort.
10. Were they a family member?
Yep, and they bought me pony merch. That, and they've seen how many printed pony books I have and wonder what the fuck is wrong with me, at least in a mostly good way. They know I write, and that some of my writing has ended up online, but no more than that. It's not exactly important to them lol.
11. Favorite MLP episode?
Twilight's Kingdom is my top favorite. The Crystal Empire and A Canterlot Wedding are close runner-ups. Luna Eclipsed, Three's a Crowd, Testing Testing 123, Sleepless in Ponyville, Inspiration Manifestation, and For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils are probably my favorite non-two parters. My favorite Equestria Girls movie is Rainbow Rocks.
12. Who is your favorite superhero?
I'm not into them enough to have one.
13. Favorite Anti-hero?
I just really like 'em.
14. Favorite supervillain?
Er, had to really think on this one and stray from the superhero-esque context of the question. But I would have to say Humbert Humbert from Lolita and Voldemort (who is not from Lolita). Both are incredibly compelling, overly dramatic, and no-holds-barred sinister. They both represent sadism of some kind, and how that reflects some element of depravity in the world they're in. Humbert is a fucking pedophile who ruins the lives of everyone he enters and makes the world worse off just by existing. He enacts cross-continental domestic abuse to two women and manages to destroy the life of a child that blinded a whole culture of readers. He's a decadent freak and the only match fit for him is Old Sparky. That aside, he manages to be genuinely frightening in-story too, not just because of the sheer depravity of him, but how he hides it and interacts with other characters. Behind his skin-deep theatrics is someone who is just evil, and you know if from the moment he tells you that he is a pedophile. Most of all, Humbert is totally unassuming to the world and that which makes him villainous isn't something like a cape or how he's used supernatural powers to further cruel goals. He's a real kind of monster in the real world. Voldemort is fun and dark and scary. He both gets to loom and interact with characters in mean, personal ways. He's as scary as you can really get while balancing classic fantasy tropes with something new and memorable, but he also is rooted in the fantastic. He stays within pages when you close them and on the screen when you turn the TV off, but that's part of what makes him compelling in a way that is more towards the entertaining side while Humbert is purely dreadful.
15. Favorite anti-villain?
I don't really ever use this classification for characters, and even then, I tend to think of it more in the line for villains who are sympathetic or skirt the line of what's truly a villain. Sympathetic is too subjective, but one of the easier to think of examples for me is Jesse Pinkman. He, uh, sure sells meth and witnesses a lot of crimes. He's even an accessory for some... but by the end of the series he only manages to fit in the villain category by technicality instead of actuality. Maybe he's a better fit for the anti-hero category, then?
16. What was the last book you read?
I'm currently in the middle of reading too many books. The Concept of Anxiety is one of them. [Edit: I got the title of the Kierkegaard book I’m on and the one I recently read mixed up.]
17. What is the last movie you watched?
Christopher Nolan's Tenet.
18. Favorite song at the moment?
Honestly, Krickis has gotten me listening to all of The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me a ton. On repeat. Blame her.

Wish You Were Here by Florence and the Machine is probably the biggest one lately. This rotates somewhat.

Starving artist. University sophomore in undergrad. Above-average dudebro.
21. What job do you want in the future?
I would like to be a literature professor. There is a chance that if you are among my younger audience, I will stare at one of your essays in disgust one day and you will not know it was I who inspired you to be so salty about your midterm grade.

Being fantastically wealthy is more of a product of investment, fortune, and one's job but if I ever end up some kind of billion/million/whatever-aire that would be the fucking best. I want a gigachad castle house, thanks.

If I have any at all, it's either plain cheese or meat lovers. People who expect the Sombra profile picture eating pizza to mean I like it have noooooo idea that it was chosen purely for shits, giggles, and story references.

I actually don't get a lot of time to watch shows. I really prefer to read when I'm not writing and when I'm not reading... well, then there's my time for watching stuff. It's not a very big amount, unlike my currently growing Netflix list and Amazon to-watches.
