    Text to Video

AI is nuts right now. There are so many possibilities, yet the flaws are amazingly hilarious, especially the racist ones. My eye is on one of the latest iterations, text-to-video. My intention is to plug some paragraphs from my book into the program and bring my mental images to life. Does anyone know any good ones? I'm in the mood to play with a new toy.

Who thinks their phones are listening to them?

I can't be the only one to notice this. So, a few weeks ago, I was talking with my dad about looking for a job in a particular field while my phone is nearby, and ads for that job start appearing on my phone for the next few weeks. Little things like this happen way too often to be a coincidence.

    The Precursor Hiatus

That's right. For those of you who've been enjoying my Jak and Daxter spin on Horse People, I'm afraid that story is going back into hiatus after this month's installment. I just haven't found the motivation to take the story where it needs to go, so it's back on the shelf for a bit. However, I still plan on having two monthly posts, thanks to a whole new story I started. Yeah, I know it's

    Shota Dusk Shine

So, you've probably noticed I finally resuscitated Precursor Legacy. Hurray! However, while I should now focus on that and Horse People, I'm afraid I caught the writing bug and started something new. It was only two or three weeks ago, but I've already got roughly 30K words across six chapters. I even wrote a grand 11K in one day. Neat, right?

    Things to do with tinies

What are some things to do with a tiny person? I've already done some carrying in breasts, some very mild exploration, and a bit of butt squishing, but what else is there? I get this might not be everyone's kink, but I'm still open to ideas, preferably with lots of details.

Trauma and Recovery · 1:43pm Apr 4th, 2018

To spur on the creative juices, I'd like for you guys to direct me to stories that explore the ideas of suffering trauma and the process of recovery that follows. Physical or mental is fine as the former offers a mental element. If it's a long story, please link me to the specific chapter where the trauma takes place.

I'm mostly done with the next several chapters for Horse People with only a handful of holes to plug here and there. However, for the next big arc, I only have a rough idea of what I'm doing. So, as is my custom, I go to you guys for help.

Please be specific. Provide a link to the exact story or chapter you have in mind and also give me a brief summary so I can get an idea of if it's what I'm looking for.

I'm assuming you mean 12-2, but damn. That's a big chapter! I'm not sure if I have the time. Care to give me the cliff notes version? Just what happened before, what's the trauma, and is the recovery explored?

Have you checked out the 'How many-?' verse from

Sarcastic Brony

?

I need specific links to specific stories, please.

Okay then. What kind of trauma is being dealt with and how?

Emotional and psychological trauma with first part being the standard of acceptance that it happened and admitting it to another. The main 6 inflict sever harm both mentally and physically then get dealt punishments (although most was unintentional) but it goes further to how they react and try to move forward while dealing with what amounts to PTSD for some of the cases.

Well the best example should be the sequel of "broken rarity"

Okay. That certainly sounds useful. Thank you.

I love this story right here https://www.fimfiction.net/story/212048/drawn-with-the-night And be sure to read the sequel.

This story also has what your looking for https://www.fimfiction.net/story/120686/misunderstandings

Okay. Could you give me some details?

Sure. The Dawn with the night is about a human that got pulled into Equestria and he gets interrogated by the bodies because of the actions of another human. Of course, he's innocent, but the damage has been done and the story revolves around him putting as much distance as possible between and Equestria.

The sequel: The Dawn with the night into the day focus on the aftermath of he ponies mistreated when the human's love interest comes to Equestria for payback, but not in the traditional sense.

Misunderstandings is my favorite. It's about a human going to Equestria through unknown means. He can't speak the same language and he brought a gun. The ponies fear him because he is unknown to them and he builds a shaky reputation and befriends a kindred spirit. I highly recommend reading all three of these stories.

Just finished reading Dawn. Most excellent and it's helped start to crystallize an idea of what I want to do.

If you can I really recommend you read chapters 11, 12-1 and 12-2 in full. The main character is injured and mentally assaulted by Luna, kidnapped by Celesia, thrown in prison and treated like a prisoner before things start getting better. The writing is mainly the character's thoughts so you can see how his mental state progresses. You don't even notice the word count as you're reading.

Alrighty then. That sounds like just what I'm looking for, but it still might be a bit before I can read it. Thankfully, the story arc this is relevant to is still many chapters away, so I've got time.

You might be getting a lot of Cliff's Notes then. The really good trauma representations, especially those that go into the recovery, are going to be lengthy. That's really the issue with trauma; it takes time to recover. Even minor scrapes, like the one on the back of my knuckle, take time (my scrape's been a scab for a week now, and will probably be there for another week or two - it's a slow recovering area).

Alrighty then. That sounds like just what I'm looking for, but it still might be a bit before I can read it. Thankfully, the story arc this is relevant to is still many chapters away, so I've got time.

Eeeeeeeeeee! My story! :pinkiehappy:

Honestly, when I saw this blog, I first thought of Denuo Fortuna first. I feel it's one of the best representations of a character facing a lot of mental stress over time, their steady decline to a breaking point, and yet without feeling too drawn out, overplayed for pity, or repetitive. While I'm pretty certain there'll be a happy ending, you really feel for the main character over the journey.

Alright. I'll be keeping this one in mind, too.
