Snails could have a good reason for be because the theory of him being capable of time speed magic, making the time slow around him because his natural talent could be he could see everything in slow-motion, while I'm surprised about Snips, and Dinky was there, and Celestia explaining about Pinkie Pie has her magic this would make a lot of sense.

Looks like the B-team discovered the Find Edges filter in AE. A training exercise for new animators, or some guck from a disassociated marketing team maybe? Really, most of this is re-used clips with a filter slapped over them. Celestia's hinky walk across the classroom is a dead give-away.

That's not entirely new. "For once I wish that unicorn magic wasn't so luminescent" -- Rarity, "Gauntlet of Fire". However, I don't think we've had explicit confirmation that ponies can see the auras' colours, just that they can tell the difference between "on" and "off". That might be a way out of the Cadenza problem.

In today's video, Celestia mentioned "the signature color of our magical auras." So not only do ponies see the color of their auras, they serve as a signature -- i.e. an identifying attribute. Seems weird that the Element of Magic didn't notice Cady's magic changing color.

This... was actually pretty cool. The animation was a tad rough, but for a short, it was pretty great, and had some cool bits of information. Also confirms that all magicians in Equestria are more Wizards than Sorcerers, if you get my meaning.
