So, I just finished my entry for the latest writeoff event and, while I'm not supposed to give any hints as to which story is mine, I will say this: it's bad. Lordy lordy, it is awful. The pacing is bad, the characters are flat, the prompt didn't grab me, and it meanders aimlessly to a pretentious and overblown conclusion. I don't think this one will be making FiMFic in any form.
But, it's also the first time I've written anything in nearly five months that didn't trigger some kind of anxiety episode or panic attack. After Bronycon, I felt good. Really good! Like I could start writing again without constantly hyperventilating or feeling like I might throw up. And apparently, it wasn't just a feeling.
I'm definitely not winning the writeoff, but that's okay. Today was a good day.
