In the present, I've been trying to focus on a future which, in the best case, is more than a year away. The possibility of making it to Tokyo for their MLP convention in (approximately) May of 2025, and the gradually-advancing marathon run of trying to reach the required total.
This isn't a pleasant story. In telling the group about what happened through the medium of this blog, I'm hoping to make a few people think. Passing on the details of events -- or rather, mostly doing so. Because in writing this, I'm not going to include any names. Not just yet, anyway. Those who want an ID on the self-assigned 'victim' of the tale are welcome to come into the chat server,
Also supposedly confirmed (although I can't seem to find any leaked footage yet): Megavolt & Quackerjack. No word on voice actors, but it may be worth noting that Jim Cummings can still go full Drake at the drop of a hat.
Take a moment and try to picture Daffy acting with the maturity required to raise a child. In fact, try to picture Daffy behaving with enough personal responsibility to keep a goldfish alive.
...right. 'White Daffy Duck', my non-feathered rear.
Seriously though, does anybody have any links to the show? I'd like to try it.
The 90s original run? As in 'where can I purchase season sets' (cheap, but there's only 2/3rds of the run available) or 'what hasn't been DMCAed off YouTube yet'?

4610038 Actually, there may be something we've overlooked. Darkwing Duck means Gosalyn . Gosalyn means Gosalyn and New!Webby may meet. Gosalyn and Webby meeting, one way or anther, means the end of the world.
On a minor MPQ note, I just brought a **** up to Champion status: Phil 'Oh, so that's what my player does' Coulson.
Yes, Phil is a recruitable character.
Yes, he's also a ****.
So yes, until the right circumstances, Phil can in fact blast Loki across the playing field. Now, whether Phil survives it...
(The short version: one of Phil's powers is a boosted version of Pietro's. For a cost of eight purple, Phil turns two basic (non-altered, non-white) tiles into Charged ones, meaning those two are now worth triple damage (for those tiles only) & three points each for your color pool -- and then switches their position. If the board is set up just right for it, he'll create match-fives and criticals on demand, which just might be enough to put Loki's low-Health body down. However, if Phil doesn't create a one-shot KO, then he's just made a match-five. This means Loki will automatically create those pool-stealing countdown tiles, and two turns later...)
*sigh* I'd probably be a lot better off financially and creatively if I did. The image shown was flashed on a screen at San Diego ComicCon, where I am decidedly not in attendance.
Cost, distance, general dislike of conventions, too much spectacle, and Something I Can't Blog About Yet. It's... been a rough season, and there's one major thing I haven't been talking about. Maybe tomorrow.
I needed some form of good news. The return of Drake Mallard is it.
Been quite awhile. I mildly remember there were some episodes where he was in some group with Launchpad as Gizmo Duck. + Some episodes with Goslynn as Quiver Wing Quack.

Looking at that light redesign... something I've insisted on for a while: Darkwing has one of the greatest costumes ever seen. It's not practical: the hat is begging to be yanked down over his eyes, plus we all know about the horrible things which can happen to anyone wearing a cape. The light glinting off those buttons is going to give him away in anything less than total shadow or a gas cloud. Also, there have been better masks, and they have been worn by turtles.
But when you put the whole package together...
There's something in the totality. There always has been. Maybe it's the pulp elements: Darkwing's primary ancestor is the Shadow, and you can see every bit of the 20s lurking about his person. Perhaps it's the sense of a gentleman adventurer: it's a very formal costume. Or maybe it's just that 'Yep-yep-yep... I make this work.'
The best costumes look like nothing and no one else. They're a visual signature. You can recognize some of them on outline alone. And even with the mild redo designed to bring him into the Barks style, there is no doubt about who that is. It's almost possible to spot him on posture.
It's one of the greatest costumes in the genre's history.
Oh man. Even my limited exposure to the Disney Channel's golden age leaves me with a pleasant sense of nostalgia with this one. Definitely one to keep an eye on.
Huzzah!
Let's get dangerous!
Huh, not showing up for me.

Try this one. It's the same picture, but from a different source.

Hooray, white Daffy Duck is back!

I know it's already been said, but... Let's get dangerous.
NOW they have my interest.

Whatever I can get for free. Actually, I found a decent one. The picture is zoomed in, but the audio is good.

Help us, Lou Grant, you're our only hope!

In that case... going in, there are three things you need to know about Darkwing.
* GIANT EGO
* Somewhere under said ego, he truly cares about what he's doing
* He always forgets the milk
Oh my yes
Oooh yes. This is gonna be good!
So you work at/with Disney?

That certainly does appear to be The Terror That Quacks In The Night. Thanks!
Yes! The Champion of Right is back!

No, S/He's the medical administrator at Sacred Heart.

JOSSED.

😔 thanks for passing it on, though!
Well I enjoyed Darkwing when I was younger but there are others I'd rather seem brought back

Restraining order? Just guessing, on account of many previous blogs.

Hopefully more Nega-Duck as well.

And that's without pants.
oh heck
I'm even more conflicted than the DuckTales revival, because I want this more D:
Oh snap!

Must be the year of nostalgia.

I haven't actually seen any of the Duck Tales revival yet.
Is it any good?
4610927
I haven't either, beyond trailers. All I know is they filled me with trepidation.
I AM THE TERROR THAT FLAPS IN THE NIGHT!!
I AM THE REBOOT THAT DOES NOT SOMEHOW INVOLVE HARRISON FORD!!
I AM....DARKWIIIIIIIING DUCK!!
Hype status: got.
