So hey! I got another commission today. The donor has asked to remain anonymous, but it's a rather large commission. Specifically ten chapters of a long-form story. I can't imagine what it is he'd want me to write that much of.
He said something about a crossover with some first person shooter.
Or, in other words:
It won't be a clean continuation. I am going to be changing some things in the series. Specifically!
The ending will be modified so that those who have already read my notes won't be spoilered!
Chapters will be shorter so that updates can be more reliable and frequent!
Way more of Siren saying "Right!" (This was apparently the main attraction of the story for many readers)

I squeed out loud reading this announcement. Siren Song was such a good read. Seeing that it will indeed continue, and properly, I am super pumped about it.
So will it be a rewrite of the first or second book or a separate thing entirely? I really did want to have an actual ending to the second but I was...accepting of what was given.

The first book stands on its own, and I'm very happy with it.
I haven't decided if the second book will get rewritten entirely, or just continued in another format.

Daring Do, to me, was great up until after the last full chapter. After that was where I had problems with it. But I accepted your decision to end it like you did. Despite how much I felt sort of sad.

That last full chapter was the reason I finally decided to kill it.

This new version will be easier for you to finish! It'll be a bit shorter. The commission was for 100,000 words, and Siren Song was twice that. So it's time to put on the pacing!
