Is Maude Pie a Rock Star?
So I carved a sedimentary rock into a paste, used a lock as a mold, and baked it into a pastry. Why? So I could have Key Limestone Pie of course.

Maude Pie got writer's block, and Pinkie Pie got her going again by suggesting she break the fourth wall. It was a clop, so when people got their rocks off, they commented; "Meta, more fic."
If you're going to do mac and cheese, you gotta augment it with other ingredients.
Best ones I've found are a tablespoon or so of cream cheese (mix in before adding the milk, when things are hot so it melts easier), gives a wonderful creamy texture; about a teaspoon or of of mustard (honey works best IMO); a tablespoon or so of ketchup; sliced up and fried sausages (cocktail or otherwise) or bacon, some kind of salty meat. For something really different, add in several shakes of cumin power. That might be a much more acquired taste, but I freakin' love cumin and Gouda with cumin is a good cheese on its own.
Combine any/all of them next time and see.

Oh gods yes add-ins. I swear by approximately 1/2 tbsp roasted red chili paste to 1 box mac & cheese (add vegetables to taste). If I'm not feeling particularly lazy, I'll throw in some very lightly steamed red bell peppers, but usually when I'm making mac & cheese it's because I'm feeling lazy.

I am way, way, way lazier than you guys (but I'm also a grad student, so I can pretend like I have an excuse). For me it's about a tsp of Tapatio and a tsp of fajita seasoning. The sodium will probably kill me, but it gives it a spicy, garlicy kick that I just love.
There is an earthbending joke in here I just know it.
Now I also hate Mr. Numbers!

Holy smokes, that recipe literally has as much cheese than pasta, dumps in an extra 4 oz of butter, and then adds in eggs and starch to thicken it further? This is to macaroni and cheese what Red Bull is to soda.
At least I now know a recipe that makes me feel like my homemade alfredo sauce is healthy.

My own enjoyment of boxed pasta dinners survived the college experience (largely because I had a cafeteria meal plan while I was there, and didn't spend college eating pasta every night). What didn't survive was my "ramen and cheese" experiment.
