She's really an underused character by the showrunners. A character that could have been the Trixie to Rainbow's Twilight has instead been left forgotten for two full seasons, save for the comics which made the poor choice to include her as a villain for the Siege of the Crystal Empire arc.
Followers, hit me up - link me the best Lightning Dust fics you know of. I wanna see the fandom pick up the slack where the showrunners dropped it. I'd prefer shorter ones but as long as they're good, yay.
Yes, Lightning Dust does need more stories.
This isn't mine, but From Nothing To Something is one Lightning Dust story I find enjoyable. Gloomy Every Day is also an excellent story I know of, though I will warn you it's quite dark.

The only Lightning Dust story I can offer is my own. I won't claim it's perfect (and I feel icky for self-promoting), but it did receive an honorable mention in the 2014 EFNW contest

You asked for the best LD fic I know of, and since I haven't read any… mine wins by default?
Look in my favorites library and search using a Lightning Dust Tag. I have a whole bunch of really good ones in there. A lot of them are one shots, some big some small. But a lot of them are really good. Have you read Sunset Eclipsed by Bauglir100 or any of its sequels? Lightning Dust plays a very good role in those stories, despite not being the central focus.
