What Am I A Better Writer at? · 5:06am Mar 3rd, 2014

I'm curious. Which genre do you guys think I'm best at?

Romance?

Tragedy?

Or humor?

Tragedy. No question.

11 romance, 5 comedy, 7 tragedy...

it's hard to tell, but you are an equal writer at all.

Humordy? Tragmor?

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I believe tragedy is what you're best at. You're good at the others(Humor above Romance), but you excel at tragedy. My opinion, of course.

Speaking of...would Upon Wings of Sacrifice be considered tragedy or romance? I will accept the answer in update form.

I really like what you did in The Gift of the Mash.

So I assume that is romance? Or cute?

Both are in, but I consider it Adventure.

Tragedy

Romance and humor! Better when combined? Yes yes yes yes

As much as I like to read a good romance with Applejack and how she reciprocates, I'm getting bored with AppleDash.

So...you don't consider that story as something you're good at?

Adventure I've had my hand in a few times outside of MLP. Problem is I can't find much of a plot that hasn't already been done in this fandom, so I'm not ready to say I'm an "Adventure" writer yet

Practice, practice, practice! :ajsmug:

Just practice by combining elements of what you already believe to do well with. I'm sure the plot will make itself up as you go.

Surprise fact: I've only read the stories you've sent to me, plus one other (forget which off the top of my head, too lazy to look). I think I would go with tragedy, simply because you have written more of it and write it much more.

I feel if you were to write comedy as much as you write tragedy, you would be better at that. Personal opinion of course.

Oh, and you left out a major major genre here. Shame on you.

Romance. Tragedy. Comedy.
No matter the genre, they embody drama.
:isthereanemoticonforzecora:

As long as there is drama, I don't really care. But, as long as I'm here, I might look up your best comedy literature. I'll report back am analysis as soon as I can!

Have a fave, a like, and a mustache for Spike. :moustache: These are the magic words that Tingle created himself. Don't steal them!

1) I do enjoy humor, always makes my day exciting:rainbowlaugh:
2) I love romance, who doesn't love a awesome ship:heart::
3) Tragedy.....dem feels man!!:pinkiesad2::applecry::raritydespair::raritycry:::fluttercry:
So I would like a good romance, cool to do a Romance and tragedy FIC for Twilight Sparkle and Flash Sentry. just spitting out ideas.

But what do you think I am best at?

That's a toughie. But since I read "Why am I crying?" (good story by the way ) and still haven't read other stories (expect Spike Comes Out, once again, excellent job ) I'm probably, for now, gonna go with Seether00: tragedy.

1891211I do like the romance

jz1

Tragedy.

I love that Twilight gif and I think you can be ther best at any of those if you tried. So far you are doing good at tragedy but yer human is good as well and romance, well that speaks fer itself

1891518
My human? I never wrote a human story

1891537 yer humor, sorry swype text does some weird shit some times

Well, I came for the tragedy, and I don't normally like that kind of story so... probably that

I've read most of your romances, a couple of your sad stories and I haven't read any of your comedies. Your romance stories… could be better. I'll just say that. Your sad stories could go either way. I don't know what to choose. I haven't really read enough of them anyway.

SHL

You're good with the three genres, no doubt. Maybe Tragedy is where we can see more of your talent, but that's because few people could do a good tragedy.

I came for the comedy

Tragedy and comedy

Tragedy:applecry:

Tragedy, probably, though I'd advise to be careful what the tragedy actually is. I can't recall which (a recent one I think?) you tend to go horribly overboard/cliche that is just terribly eye-rollingly hard to read. :ajbemused:

I want to see more romance. I come to this site to escape the harshness of reality, not embrace it. :ajbemused:

Normally I would say Romance, since that is the majority of what I read, but in this instance I would say tragedy. The Assassination of T.S. and Aftermath of a Fallen Star are some of the best tragedies I have read and I personally think you are best at that genre.

APB

Tragedy
Why Am I Crying is fantastic, :pinkiehappy: as in sad. :fluttercry: But its put together well. :twilightsheepish:

I'd say tragedy but you write romance and comedy pretty well too.

Slice of life. Every story you write has the it's own main theme but the realism is what sticks out to me the most (and the hope or closure for your tragedies).

All the above

really your good all around its up to you to write what you want

All of them! But tragedy is slightly better than the others.

You're definitely best at tragedy. Although your romance writing is pretty damn amazing too.
