More seriously, I believe it's best if there is at least one post every two days (or so) just so people don't feel the site is neglected. If that means the occasional non fic-related post, I'm okay with that.
I think we'll see more of Chrysalis in season 3, because Discord might be making a comeback as De Lancie has said that he has done more acting for the show. At least we got to see Ceslestia fight, even if it was for 15 seconds.

Chrysalis sounds to me to close to the X-COM alien Chryssalid. It is a bit too easy to mix this two up. I send a time to battle none aliens when it is only aliens we battle.

I love the Changelings in general. I have no idea why, but I just found them totally adorable. I actually named like ten of them.
80633 No. You're not the only one... however I figure Chrysalis had been charging up power for a long time, knowing she would inevitably have to fight Celestia. After fighting her, Chrysalis would have spent all that power, leaving her weakened enough for Shining Armor to beat her. That's just my head-canon though, which I'm using for my fic.
Somehow, she became my favorite villain despite having significantly less development than Discord or NMM. The awesome design and the song I've listened to five times today may have something to do with that

You most definately are not. In fact, I hated that part so much it's made me declare this two parter my least favourite two episodes yet.
The Changelings are just so much fanfiction bait. Look at how many of them there are! And they weren't killed, or turned to stone, or banished to the moon... just expelled from Canterlot. They could be all over Equestria by now. They could have been all over Equestria all this time. Anypony could be one. The fanfic just writes itself!
I wonder if they can feed off platonic and familial love too? That just makes it worse!

I think that's a safe bet. The classical "changelings" are babies who have been stolen by the fae and replaced with their own. If you're interested, I recommend reading Backwards Through The Mirror. Though it's based on WhiteWolf's Changeling: The Lost which is a slightly different interpretation, it's worth reading just for the descriptions alone.

I object! Discord was much more fun and enjoyable to watch.
Of course, Chrisalis is your typical villain as in Chaotic Evil, bent on conquest and yada yada, Discord was a Chaotic Neutral alignment in a way that his priority wasn't conquest or overthrowing Celestial, but just having fun.
I like my villains like that. Just trying to have fun while spreading chaos. The conquering types I dislike because they just use brute force. Chrysalis was deceptive, but she killed her cover as soon as she said "how did you escape the caves". That should have rang the alarm immediately. She could have try to keep her cover, but no. She was an idiot on that.
