I'm in the middle of writing Celestia's chronicle, but a thought/idea suddenly occurred to me.
A WHAT-IF STORY!!!!
Cadance's Chronicle/ Calex's Chronicle
Short Summary- What do you think would happen if Alex broke up with Cadance after a rather nasty argument.
Said argument concerning Cadance's actions in "The Alicorn Instinct".
Basically Alex has known about Cadance's actions for a few months now. For when Cadance came back late and Soul Sapphire vanished the next day...well it didn't take him long to put together the pieces.
He finds out EXACTLY what she did to her during their argument. Her desire to protect him disgusts him so much that he broke it off with her there and then, ignoring her pleas and begging for him to stay with her...love her...
Thus begins an unbearable few weeks.
With Alex ignoring Cadance as best he can, and Cadance trying her utmost to sway him, to make him love and crave her so badly that he could think of nothing else...
How does he react to this?
By doing the smart thing and taking a mare out on a date.
How does Cadance react to this?
...
"We may be broken up my love...but you are still MY mate!"
Note that this chronicle will NOT be canon to the Stoneuniverse. It will just be a bit of fun on the side :)

I dunno...I kinda like not knowing what Cadence will do if she loses Alex. If you do write it, it might be best to wait til after the main story is complete.

I say yes, but more like an Alternate Universe or "What if" kind of thing, if you take it as the follow up it would make weak the development between Cadence and Alex, at least, thats what I think =D

Yes! I'd love to read that. Though I can see that ending badly for everyone involved, especially Alex. Cadence just seems the kind of person who would do anything for Alex to love her, even mind control if necessary.

I commented on a previous blog post that it one of the stories you had ready for "The Royal Breakup Chronicles" sounded very similar to Cadence/Alex already (I believe it was the Cadence/Craig one). Considering I've liked everything you've done so far, I don't think this would be too much of a problem, just might need to be careful that you don't repeat a plot you've already used.
