I have new chapters of Spectacular Seven and it's about to be everyone's problem!
Hello there!
It's been *checks watch* a while. How've y'all been? I've been.... I've been.
Wow, I've been waiting to write this blog post for a while, and now I've forgotten everything I wanted to say. I do want to deeply apologize for the lack of updates for well over a year. Life happens. Burnout happens. I wasn't even burned out from writing, I was just burned out. Working customer service sucks. I'm an introvert; the last thing I want to do is talk to people all day, let alone repeat the same thing ad nasuem—
This is a conversation for later.
The point is, I've had to make several life adjustments. With several more on the way. But, at the moment, I think I've found a rhythm and a drive to write again. At minimum for Spectacular Seven. Guys, no one wants to see the story continue more than I do. I am so close to getting to write the avalanche of things cooking in my head since this story started. Yes I've had to adjust some things, and I hit some walls. But I am still excited!
And I hope those who are left are excited too.
I believe I told you all in *checks calendar* September 2021... Sweet Celestia, I'm sorry... I said that you would get three chapters back to back. One reason this took so long was because I was determined to keep that promise! And I have!
Two of the chapters are done, with the third coming together at a wonderful rate. And the two chapters after that are planned out and I'm excited for!
I'm not going to make a grand promise that there won't be any more big hiatus going forward. A lot of things are happening this year. Some of them are going to be hard. Some of them... I don't know what's going to happen. And I don't know how that's going to affect my writing. But I will, again, double down on my promise that: if there's one last thing I do here on Fimfic, it will be finishing Spectacular Seven.

Hehehehe. But yes, a reminder that we are slowly, steadily getting into darker territory. And another reminder that, it's dark, not apathetic, I know how to keep a good tone now and I'm not repeating Volume I.

Anyways, ummm... how do I broach this next point? One of my... distractions, over the last few months has been... decoding potential revelations in my head about my identity. And expression of said identity. That's a journey I'm still on and is very much still turbulent. One thing is certain though.
I'm not happy with the moniker 'The Albinocorn' anymore.
Granted, my long status on Fimfic has lead to most of you calling me Albi anyways. So, until I figure more of myself out, It's just going to be that.
And, I kindly ask that you use They/Them going forward.
I'm not asking for perfection, no need to heckle people in the comments; not everyone is going to see this blog.
...I need a new profile pic.
Anyways, all that to say, Spectacular Seven returns next Saturday, Feb. 11th! And another chapter on the 18th! And another on the 25th!

I'm glad you're managing well, Albi, and that you're feeling happy with where your writing's at right now. Also, while you're still figuring things out, congrats on taking that next step forward in doing so. I wish you the best and know there is never any rush, in figuring yourself out or writing.
The art is also quite a spectacular piece and captures the fight between Sci-Twi and Moondancer well. I hope it and other pieces you get help with inspiring you. And great to hear from Sunset again; we've all missed her snark.
Take care of yourself, Albi, and I eagerly await the next few chapters! I am never leaving or giving up on this; I love your stories and interpretations of the characters too much! They have all been appropriately spectacular!

One: I really, really, really, REALLY missed you and your updates and I happy to see you are alive
Two: As a fellow introvert, I can completely relate when you say that you don’t like talking to people and you feel burnt out, hell, I feel burnt out everyday just by going to school.
Three: You’re probably going to play with my emotions but I knew what I was getting into when I went into fan fictions ( no, I didn’t, I really didn’t ) so can I just say that I. LOVE. YOU! ( and don’t sweat, I knew my patiently waiting would pay off )
I am so very exciting. Jumping back into the fandom in 2022 My discovery for this ship had sent me here. Long road and Spectacular Seven were the very first stories I read and I've loved them the most ever since! So glad you are back, Keep up the good work Albi!

Excited as hell for the new chapters! The saga continues! And hey, no worries about the baking time on these ones. If it makes you feel better, I was on hiatus for 2.5 years until I came back and finished a long-running story. You're doing amazing and you should feel amazing.
Speaking for myself here: I have zero doubts that you'll finish Spectacular Seven. Life is gonna life, so whatever the timeline looks like doesn't really matter. Hasn't ever, really. It's happening! You've more than earned our faith.
