well...that escalated quickly.
Celestia has been ALL OVER the place in this story. Yeesh.

Well.... that didn't quite shatter my head-cannon about the Inquisition in the Silververse.... but it did leave a few cracks. I always figured Celestia had some kind of Pony Inquisition (actually this brings the Silververse MORE in line with my show head-cannon ). It makes sense that she would have an Inquisition, given how much history she erases . You really need an Inquisition to erase as much history as she has. I kinda suspected this was gonna work out to besome rogoue branch of Celestia's Inquisition. I hadn't anticipated the Text directly pitting Celestia against Silver's family though. It makes sense. He WAS pretty pissed about how things went down. He pretty much threatened Night Watch with exactly this. So it makes sense.
For the record I'm assuming this is happening while Twilight is time-looping in the season finale. So that this, much like the friendship games, is something she has to deal with the fallout from during the hiatus. Cause we all know the really crazy shit happens during the hiatus (there's plenty of time to bring it back in cannon by the season premier ). I would LOVE to see me a hiatus "Nightmare Sun" story. In fact Ima cast the summon spell for that now....

(for the record, didn't draw that just for this occasion. I just keep a collection of hand-drawn satanic scrolls around the internet for demon summoning emergencies)
6669177 She isn't as sure of herself as she should be. She has been challenged and must grow just as Silver has. The spotlight isn't on her, but she is a protagonist.
I also rather enjoyed writing for her this chapter.
I wonder how Luna is going to take this? Good chapter, Keep up the good work.

O... M.... G! .... !!!!
No way! Holy zomg flit otter Frank?
I... We.... That's....
(Please wait while rebooting environment host....)
Well, that twist knocked us completely off my feet, through the floor, past the Void and straight through to the sky! The potential for Celestia to be the head was dismissed out of hand so it never occurred to reconsider it, like, ever.
Well, she's certainly upset, which is certainly understandable considering Silver has consistently and repeatedly challenged or outright ignored her world view. Tread carefully, Silver!
First sentence spoken in response: it's not fair at all.
Fair is boring. Fair is perfect harmony, leaving no variations. There needs to be a little chaos or stagnation occurs.
Well, step one has arrived (admission), now how do we transition to the next?
Keep going! ;)
So, let me get this straight. Celestia commits atrocities because she is jealous? She has some gaul calling him not a pony when She isn't really either. Also, I still do not understand how she can throw away everything they did together. I thought they had truly bonded. Also, why did she help to bring Silver back from the dead if she hated him so much.
I am really having a hard time understanding Celestia's motivation in this story. Can somepony give me some clarification please?

Obviously, this is secretly Chrysalis in disguise. And the inquisition's numbers are bolstered by changelings as well (but not exclusively changelings. Many are actual ponies who believe in the cause, but have no idea it's being run by changelings).
This is total wild speculation, of course, and may bear no resemblance to canon.

I am glad that I'm not the only one that confuse.

Initial reaction: Bull. Shit.
Secondary (cooler headed) reaction: perhaps the text has been controlling Celestia in some fashion. Opening paths to madness and despair.
I eagerly await an explanation for all this in chapters to come. Everyone deserves their rainbows, Celestia perhaps most of all.
If there are typos lurking none leapt out at me. I was too focused on the story to allow my attention to drift to such a mundane activity.
Excellent work!
Edited to add: Wait... this universe ties into the One Step universe. Oh boy, if Celestia has been infected somehow with the void energy that coud explain things, and that would be a very, VERY... Bad Thing™
Edited again to add more: Oh my... what if she wants to be defeated because she doesn't want the job anymore? She could be forcing this confrontation at last to elevate a successor that holds her ideals more dearly than she herself does at the moment. Oh dear...
6670132 Let us not forget that our resident Mary Sue has a lot of things Celestia hoped to gain. But methinks none of this is exactly as Celestia planned.

But she was the one of the main sources of power to return Silver from death...
But it's very clear that everything has jumped the rails at this point. Probably a typo on the tracks.
At once!
Happy Thanksgiving to those that observe this particular holiday!
I personally am thankful for getting to read and marginally participate in these epic tales, spun by an epic author!
Ugh! Really Celestial? You're doing this now? It's as if you're a baby having a tantrum. Why have this fight when you just brought Silver back to life?
Also, have you forgotten Celestia that both you and Luna were originally humans as well?
I seriously just want to go right up to her face, and slap her upside the head.
"Fix yourself, before you wreck yourself."
Um... the hell? I can almost see Celestia being the mastermind of the conspiracy against her rule, that way she has all her political enemies in one place and under her control. But this? Going out of her way to hurt the one who proved time and time again his loyalty and desire for good, who she helped bring to this point and make so dangerous? Why? Because he chose Luna over her? Because he took all the crap life threw at him and became stronger for it? Because he manages to find short periods of happiness before everything, including her now, decides to take a dump on him? This better be some kind of doppelganger, otherwise I might have to find a way to physically hurt this story. If this is the real Celestia, then I hope Luna wins this time.
6670179 This story is flawed, of your own construction, didn't you show us already that Tia & Luna are also originally human. Tia is the strangest not pony of all of them!
6985536 Something is clearly wrong.
This is probably the biggest problem with this whole story. It's like Sunbutt has a learning experience, gets nice, then hits a reset button in her brain and becomes this shallow, demented amoral fiend again. And again. And again. Time for a new twist, please!
7696960 There is a reason for this.
I would have said, “I will never forgive you!!”
