I prefer pizza.
Unless there's some sort of weird decorative cooking going on, she's giving the boiling water a little "stir."
More "life-changing" than that.
Shouldn't that be "you're you," rather than "you you."
She tried to "rein" them in.

I am still not totally convinced this was the right thing to do with Silver, but I will trust in David Silver.
6538597 Define 'this'? Her current issue? Not a pony there wanted it, but they are clearly working to correct it.

this is vary true as Silver is truly loved bye one and all, but silver was dead will they be able to with time find the one missing part of him that will help him to remember his her true self??
6538614 So Cadance acts as the voice of calm and reason, which she's very good at, and she honestly seems to be getting through to Silver without it being upsetting or traumatic. That's very good of her...now if only she'd brought everyone else in on the plan.
What struck me most about this chapter is that Night Watch, more than anypony else, is the one pushing things. Call it residual guilt, or maybe just lovesick worry, but at this point I'm starting to become a tad bit concerned with just how much she's the one putting pressure on Silver to recognize that there's a problem. The fact that there actually is a problem is irrelevant in this regard; Night is all but cramming that down Silver's throat at this point. I can understand her pointing out Silver's now-lost book and her love of making spells; that was her making sure that another important part of her beloved one is still there. But the spontaneous idea of sharing her emotions with Silver via her bite...that wasn't helping. In her current state, I don't think that Silver is capable of understanding lust or carnal desire, and hammering her with that point isn't going to make any headway.
Still, some good did come from her display; Shei seems to have accepted that this isn't about Silver's feelings for her, but rather is that Silver has a problem. Moreover, Cadance was right to tell everypony to sit down and let Silver be; heck, she was even right to tell Silver to cry it out (though bopping her one might have been an out-of-character moment for her). Really, at this point Cadance should be Silver's life-coach.
And poor Spike didn't get to eat dinner!
The bit with Celestia saying she'll create another two-way pair of books was interesting, and the sort of thing that I would have been suspicious of in earlier stories. Her idea that this be used to make a back-up copy is entirely sensible, but I can't help but wonder if it's a sort of way of keeping an eye on what spells Silver is making. Of course, Silver has more than earned Celestia's trust, and her love, by now, so this is really a non-issue.
At this point though, the problem has been clearly identified. Even Silver seems to reluctantly accept everyone else's judgment, even if she's uncomfortable with it. The question now is what to do about it.
6541709 Poor Cadance has a kingdom to rule. Unless Silver wants to move along with her and help out, she can't afford the time to take Silver under her wing on a more long term basis. If it didn't involve leaving Twilight behind, Silver might be tempted.
Oh wait, horrors that lurk in the north... Maybe that wouldn't be a solid idea. Oh well. If Silver was meant to be with Cadance, maybe she'd be a crystal pony.
It was certainly an awkward dinner, but some good came of it, I think. It was worth having. I think you're making things a little simple with Celestia there. Why wouldn't she casually see what spells Silver made, trusting in her or not? She watched Twilight all the time. She likes watching, seeing, and knowing.

The story continues to hit a note I expect about a paragraph after I stop and think to expect it. Good.
I think this should be she?
I love this story but, with the way it's going I just get frustrated! My binge reading is not so strong after the last few chapters. I find Silver just keeps getting the wrong end of the stick. It's starting to get me down. I don't want to be down! I liked the old Stud Silver. I was really starting to accept the way he was. But I'll put my faith that there's a good plan down the road....PLEASE!
