Ask your witch-doctor if necromancy is right for you. Side effects include unleashing demons and giving in to your most violent impulses.
Oo ee ooh ah ah!
Ting tang walla walla bing bang!
Twilight, no! You cannae change the laws of Physics!
6523644 Bing bang indeed!
6523800 Don't tell Twilight what she can't do, it only encourages her.
6523872 Well she's got the right attitude to replace the Doctor if she's like that.
6525007 What sue response are you reacting to?
6523644 Somepony had to write the laws of the ponyverse, why can't Twilight amend them in such a manner that sets right a perceived wrong? Unless they screw it up and make it worse from doing so I see no reason to discontinue.
There are two spaces after "rage."
Also, don't capitalize the first "to."
"Bugbear" is a compound word.
The bear "struck" with...
It's a "heart crystal," not a soul crystal.
6527245 Some typos may be repaired, but others may prove more enduring.
6527254 So now it finally starts. But how will it end?
I liked the way this chapter began, giving us a brief glimpse of what it was like for Silver without going into any particular details. Given that he's in a state where I doubt he's anywhere close to what we consider "consciousness," this was a good way of describing it. That it was signaled by Night Watch's unceasing nudging of his heart crystal was a good way to show what was causing this back in the material world.
More than that, however, was the scene with Zecora and Night flying off the handle. That really showed the degree of how much they're pushing the (so-called) limits, and who's really the driving force behind this. The point of that scene was to show that Night was the one who has developed tunnel vision about this, and that she's rapidly entering a bad place to so badly react to even the suggestion that she stop what she's doing. As Twilight noted, she just attacked the mare who midwifed for them when they were pregnant. Night is clearly pushing more than just the laws of the universe, here. It was great to see what she's like when she's taken to the edge of what she can handle; this is how characters are supposed to be portrayed when they're put into an extreme position.
Even better was that we got to see why she was taking this so badly. While I think that Night Watch is wrong to blame herself, it's very easy to understand why she does. Her actions led to this, albeit indirectly, and with her ability to analyze and estimate possibilities and probabilities, she's been torturing herself with "what if's" and "if only's." It's a side of her natural talent that I hadn't thought of before, in that when it's turned towards regret it goes from being insightful to being self-flagellation. No wonder she's drowning in guilt.
That the spell itself is having so many consequences is also an enjoyable side effect. This seems like it's going to dovetail into the (presumed) next arc of the story, as there'll likely be side effects of Silver's resurrection that will need to be dealt with, possibly for some time to come (and I don't just mean other characters wondering why he alone got a second chance). That Tartarus apparently opened up may be just the first. That said, I'm a bit underwhelmed by Tirek's reappearance; Tirek was portrayed as having a highly tactical disposition, knowing when to change his strategy in response to a bad situation. That he's so brazenly appear before Twilight and taunt her when he had no power seems out of character for him, especially since he didn't even try to absorb the powerful magic that she was working...that just seemed like it was too different from what he'd do in such a situation.
6527263 I'm sure he had a plan that ended with an infuriated lunar pony slamming into him. Twilight, he knew. Night, not so much. Twas hubris slayed the beast.
6527263 I think I was a bit short in reply, so more replying! I like that you enjoyed this showcasing of Night Watch's personal journey into things. This project is in no small part because of her, just as she pegs the reason for it being needed entirely on herself. She's not taking time to 'enjoy' her new toys. She's not taking time to do much of anything until she fixes what she broke.
Tirek lost round one, but nopony said he was slain and not a soul around has the time to drag him back to the breached pits of Tartarus. The world oozes with a wound most foul, and they haven't even finished. I wouldn't assume anything at this point. Let's enjoy the ride together. Thanks for the review!
Wait... Rainbow just casually undercuts the entire Equestrian universe, and the laws that seemingly govern it, and this is okay?! Thank God it's just dream logic. I mean, if someone came up to me, pointed out that electricity only existed because humans imagined it into existence, and that continuing to do so was a perversion of the true reality... there'd be more hullabaloo! A lot more!
7788721 I think laughter is the word you're reaching for. Laughter and mild scorn at the obviously crazy person.

Or... when someone tells us our established reality is really a fanciful delusion that covers up our perception of real reality, we could answer like Applejack:
