So... She's a godmother now?
Learning the alphabet is sooo booorinnng!
Keep going! ;)
It's okay to be a monster.
Oh come on! You're going to use that as a chapter title yet not have Rainbow Dash anywhere?!
A extra sweet chapter. Silver is doing ok as of now but she is in a vary delicate way she code totally lose her self or regna her self. healing will take time and she is vary broken right now.
6559457 Indeed. Should have had Rainbow Dash reading, only to flip a page and find Silver there and freak out while flying away to Twilight about Books coming to life xD
She found her eyes "riveted" on the stallions.
This should be "far past time for her to overcome a foal's handicap."
There are two spaces between "obvious" and "confusion."
6570062 All nice and fixed! It's good to be back.
6570118 So there was an interesting dichotomy to this chapter, in terms of Silver making headway in claiming something she should have had all along but never did (memorizing the magical alphabet) versus trying to make headway in reclaiming something she always had before but doesn't now (her sexuality).
With regard to the former, there's little that I can add to what was here. It was rather cute to see Twilight teasing Silver that way, and it felt like a very natural expression of their relationship. I suspect that Twilight was still pressing Silver a little bit, but if so it was minor enough that it didn't really feel like any sort of undue pressure. (As a sidebar, the play in Hearth's Warming Eve seems to imply that there was a time when stallions were equal, if not dominant, to mares.) I also suspect that she was happy just to see Silver being proactively excited about something, since she seems so listless compared to her old self nowadays, save only when focusing on her (now platonic) feelings for her loved ones.
Taking this a step further is Nefertari, who is quite clearly trying to provoke Silver, though I'm surprised by how gentle she's being about it. I've been half-expecting her to literally pick a fight with Silver any day now. At what point does the Anubian shamaness decide that she's tired of waiting, and that she's going to fix this problem now? Given her command over spirits and her combative nature, I wouldn't put much more stock in her patience.
On the flipside was Cadance's continuing therapy sessions with Silver...and on this note, I'm starting to wonder what exactly it is that Cadance is trying to accomplish. My initial impression was that she's trying to get Silver's sexuality back, but if that was the case then this seemed like the wrong way to go about it. While Silver has quite clearly been through some trauma in her return from death - and trauma can be broadly defined as "damage to one's sense of identity" - this is trauma wrought by magic, not emotional distress. In that regard, I don't think that simply talking it out can get Silver to reconnect with what she's missing now; magical problems require magical solutions.
However, with this chapter I'm starting to think that "fixing" Silver was never Cadance's aim. Rather, she seems to be trying to get Silver to a place of acceptance; not so much with what she's lost (which is how it would usually be for any sort of permanent disability), but rather to reconcile with how she acted when she had a libido of her own. In other words, Cadance wants Silver to stop being repulsed by the idea of sex, even if she can't desire it anymore...and, by extension, to stop being repulsed at who she was before.
I'm suspicious if Cadance thinks that this is somehow going to get Silver's sense of sexuality back, something I think is dubious. If not, however, then she's simply trying to ease Silver's mind, which is much more in line with who Cadance is...but at the same time, that's treating a symptom, rather than the underlying problem.
I'm also not sure what to make of Shining Armor's presence in this chapter. The same way I have a hard time seeing Cadance being alright with having even the most quasi-romantic interaction with anypony else, I have an even harder time seeing Shining Armor signing off on that. His apparent nonchalance towards the idea of Silver mounting his wife - and the odd implication that he'd have had to be involved had that ever happened (how, exactly? Shining Armor doesn't appear to have any particular homoerotic desires, and the old Silver was downright afraid of that) - struck me as being somewhat out of character for him. As we saw when "Ms. Peachbottom" started hitting on him in Games Ponies Play, he's not even that into other mares.
That said, it was nice to hear that Shining Armor and Cadance had at least had a discussion about whether or not they should invite Silver to impregnate her, and that Shining Armor seemed to be at least somewhat uncomfortable with that idea (or at least talking about it). I say that because, while Cadance is the Princess of Love - and presumably celebrates love in all its forms, without discrimination - Shining Armor is under no such auspice. Heck, even putting Cadance on the level of "all-loving, and therefore, enlightened" seems to be taking her character a bit too far (she was scared of Discord when she first met him, for example).
As it is, I think this situation is one of those that's going to degrade over time, rather than improve, at least without some sort of major breakthrough going on. At some point, even if Silver comes to terms with her old self and becomes comfortable with her asexuality, this is going to put a strain on her relationships with the rest of her herd. At what point does a marriage with no physical love become a cage? While I doubt Silver would begrudge the rest of her herd forming other physical relationships, I have to think that that would push even their extremely-open marriage too far.
...I'm also starting to wonder if Silver has forgotten Fast Change entirely, which would make a certain amount of sense, given how amorous Fast was. But that's no excuse for why everypony else seems to have forgotten her as well. Night Watch, you made quite a fuss when Silver left, where's that same level of upset for your other lover? Was she right when she accused you of not thinking of her as your mate?
6570177 Well! I can tell you're going to like the coming chapters, or so I think.
Shining wasn't comfortable, and they delayed enough that it proved unrequired, and they had a foal on their own, much to Shining's great relief. Shining would have been willing, if it was the only way. From what's written, he'd play kissy-face and supporter for Cadance to get her 'engine' going and Silver would do his part. Silver and Shining would not be smooching at any part of the process.
Cadance is helping Silver reach a place of equilibrium, but also helping her see eye-to-eye with her old self, which Cadance does think is an important part of ever seeking a permanent solution. Silver can't be disgusted of it and it work well. It'd be a new trauma all over again. She is a gentle friend and healer and I don't think she's doing badly, just not perfectly.

6570222 Best analogy I have is liking it to resetting Silver's circuit breakers tripped by dieing & resurrection (like a massive power surge) but Cadance is resetting one at a time to avoid crashing anymore circuitry. Slow & steady will heal all.
Huh, what the hell happened to Starlight? She popped up last chapter and then disappeared. And nothing about her in the next. Wonder, will she pop back in the next? Well, to the next page...
