Speaking of, apparently the identity artifactartifacts were removable but the control artifacts are not?
Keep going! ;)
I was just thinking that we should still be looking for 1 or 2 more artifacts so the set is complete.
hum and what can be accomplished with a full set of artifacts???
I have a idea for you David Silver but I will be sending it as a pm.
Harts Fire
6599873 Night Watch has the horseshoes of earthpony magic, the necklace of endurance, the armor of... it's armor! They haven't explored the armor much. The crown of horns, which she has no horn to put into it. There's the bangle of fecundity, which she is doing nothing with, but has, and bolsters the other items. That's 5 items, which I think is how many they thought there would be.
aw ok my bade.
And hear the ship was not destroyed. It looks like it is still in silvers future. It well be fun to see how they use it the next time it comes to Equestria. Of cores The computer mite have a different directive to complete.
Dragonfox
It really seems like this should be Silver, not Night.
There are two spaces between "Night" and "practicing."
"Shortsighted" is a compound word.
This chapter continued to wrap up various events, and hinted at what's coming down the pike. For the most part, it was nice to see dangling threads continue to be dealt with, but there were one or two odd notes in there (and a few more things I'd have liked to have seen).
What jumped out at me most was Tumble. His request...if you can call it that, to stud for the herd was, in a word, awkward. I'm glad that Twilight took the time to correct him on the difference between being their stallion and being their stud, since that spotlighted the fact that he didn't seem to be very clear on the difference. Being the stallion of a herd is one thing; being a stud is quite something else again. Specifically, the stallion is married to the mares in his herd, whereas the stud performs extra-marital duties for mares that want a foal. The idea of being a herd-specific stud is redundant.
I admit I smirked a bit at Twilight's forbidding Fast from having Silver stud her, though that seems to fly in the face of the whole idea that studs are only for outside the bonds of marriage. Of course, it was kind of meaningless, since Fast made it pretty clear that outside of the literal interpretation of Twilight's ban there's plenty of other things she and Silver can do. That brings up another point, which is how much authority Twilight is flexing all of a sudden. First she's handing down sex-bans, then she's going on about Silver being a prince on paper (which I doubt will have as much weight as she thinks), it's like she's finally growing into her role as an authority figure. Of course, just because she acts that way doesn't mean that she'll get her way. At some point the nobility is going to start flexing its own authority on these issues (especially if word of that whole "illegal, deviant sex" spell gets out).
The reunion with Shei was nice, albeit so nice that it felt boilerplate. Still, it was sweet that she wasn't forgotten. Now if only a certain Anubian would make her presence known as well... (for that matter, where's Farah in all of this?).
The scene with Night was nice for bringing up that she still has some residual guilt. While Silver made her feelings clear in the previous chapter, what's here did a good job of showing the flipside to that. Namely, that while Silver has forgiven her, that doesn't mean that Night stops feeling bad. Much to my surprise, both of them seemed to handle this maturely; Silver didn't try to browbeat (or guilt) Night into changing her feelings, instead apparently recognizing that this is Night's problem and (so long as it doesn't become self-destructive) she has to deal with it on her own. Offering to be there in whatever way she could was exactly the right thing to do. I'm really starting to think that the cast has matured after all that they've been through.
Now, off to see what new trouble awaits in Canterlot!
6915996 I'm sure nothing important will happen in Canterlot and they'll be home in no time, bored but intact! That's how this series works, right?
Right? Stop looking at me like that! It's so nice to have you back, by the way. I thoroughly missed your input and love getting them, even if we're back in time right now. I'm struggling so hard not to start spewing spoilers everywhere!
6916119 Thanks! It's a shame I'm commenting too late to influence where the series goes, but such is life. At least I can still enjoy how it all unfolds!
6916119 does he get his armro back?
6917634 You will get no spoilers from me.
6917664 For pity sake don't bring the ship back, why x-file this story any further?
It's like jumping the shark Fonz style all over again & we all know how that ended that series.
6916119 Fibber¡¡¡¡¡
