Anything to say for the future on this?

Eh, it's a long story as to why I didn't make it at art college. But to sum it up there was a whole lot of depression involved, and I didn't have any determination and my lack of success when I was surrounded by much more talented individuals just fueled the whole miserable crash and burn I went through.

And now I'm paying the price. Like literally, student loans are killing me.

I guess the one good thing I got from that college was my manga professor showed the class an episode of MLP one day, and that's how I found out about it. :rainbowhuh: So, totally worth it, I guess.

I'm envious that you can go to DA and not get depressed instantly, like me. It's my greatest flaw, and I have to struggle with it every time I pick up a pencil or open Photoshop.

BUT THAT'S WHAT MY HAPPY PILLS ARE FOR!!! :pinkiecrazy:

No real secret, just drew a whole lot when I was younger. Like all the time. Like on my schoolwork. Like on my trapper keeper. Like on my book covers. Eventually all the doodling added up! :derpytongue2:

But in all seriousness, the two most important things I can think of for improving artwork are these: persistence and acceptance.

Persistence: keep at it. Always draw when you can, improvement happens over a long period of time, so you have to keep working at it. And put in your best effort, don't half-heartedly give up and end up with something terrible.

Acceptance: Accept that there will always be people better than you. Don't let their success bring you down. And accept failures. If you draw something and you think it sucks when you're done, then that's normal. Improve it if you can, but accept it in the end regardless.

I really really suck at the acceptance part. And the persistence part. That's actually why I dropped out of Art College! Hahahahaha! :rainbowlaugh: :rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh: .................

...god I'm such a wreck. :pinkiesad2:
