Outside of a vague wish to do Rarilight, the only Twilight involved idea I've had was an older one. It was a silly idea I developed into a real one for fun, basically Shining Cadance establishing and getting the Empire going with Twilight's help, while Cadance and Twilight renew their old friendship and work through personal and political developments in tandem. The silly part of it was the framing. Each act of night borrowed heavily from a different set of sources and motivations. The Empire fic was to be framed using Romans and Corinthians, specifically regarding the squabbling and organizing bits, and would involve letter writing as a kind of gimmick? For interludes.

Hm.

Ah well. We'll see.

Thats a shame. My favorite stories are Twilight-centric. However, have no fear. I like Amaranth and the whole 'trying to resist my inner darkness and killing everyone' trope is always fun to read. I'll have my eyes open for it. I also would be remiss as a Twilight fan if I didn't ask you to consider roles for her and Luna. I just relate to Twilight quite a lot. I think everyone does at least a little. After all, at some point their lives, everyone has had to make friends for the first time for one thing.

Thank you! I'm very pleased to hear it. I do intend to keep writing. I have an idea for a "sequel" that's more like a story set afterwards in the same world but not a continuation of the old conflict. Ever read Salem's Lot? It'll be like that. Amaranth would be the protagonist.

I just want to say, The Night is Passing was easily on my top 5 list of adventure fics. I really like in particular, how you made Twilight extremely powerful but held back by her own insecurities. Her own worst enemy. I sincerely hope you make more stories like it, eventually.
