This will be my first fic on this site, and I hope I can keep it running for a long time. I, obviously, do not own any of the Hasbro oriented things, nor the Capcom ones.
Actual Description:
Pinkamena Dianne Pie has just acquired her Monster Hunting license. As a fledgling hunter, she has to make a trip to the remote island that houses the Moga Village. It's time for this girl to make a name for herself!
Story will be based off my actual adventures in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. OC will be added a few chapters in as the other protagonist. I hope you'll all enjoy reading this as much as I enjoy writing it.
Will include humanized ponies and a fair amount of swearing. Stuck the gore tag on because, as we all know, Monster Hunter is a violent and brutal game. And, for those unfamiliar, the title is a play on the game from the series called Monster Hunter Tri. I thought it was fitting, even though this adventure takes place elsewhere.

To be honest I find something odd about the first few chapters, but whatever it was went away in the last two. I wish I could tell you what, but I can't put my finger on it other then something about the structure. I like this story, and you seem to have gotten pinkie's personality for such a setting. So....continue the good work.
Though personally, I prefer the gunlance.

I was a Longsword user back in MHFU. Something about the Switch Axe appealed to me, but I always loved co-operating with my hunting partner (Wookie Love) because he uses Gunlances, S&S, and Lances. He likes to tank. I like to hit things. We make a good team.

Fluttershy was the only member of the mane 6 that I did not have a plan for in the story. Somehow, I feel like she would frown upon this sort of thing.
That being said, I am not against the idea of these two being accompanied by others. It's not something that's actually happened, since the area where I live is very scarce in the Monster Hunter department. The story is still young, I'm not ruling out anything.
2465031 ah thats understandable, just when i went through highschool me and my friends hunted, and i truly believed i became a better hunter because of the experiences with my friends, i knew well i was slicing the rathians tail with the dual blades, one friend was buffing me with the horn and giving the thing a headache. another was tearing it's stomach out with a lance and the last guy was nailing it from a ledge with a bow. we learned together we adapted together. and i believe pinkie could benefit from the help. plus i know from experience a older hunters advice can be priceless, never would have made it past soloing the khezu without my mentors advice.

I'm just saying, what if it takes the same kind of qualities? That was the implications. I just used "Demonize" as the wide-spread term. They're both meter-based systems.
2507255they wheren't originaly, demonizations is a mode that burns your stamina but makes you attack harder, cut through nearly anything no matter the sharpnees and immune to all but extreme wind effects.
spirit combo utilizes the longswordsmens fighting spirit built throught battle to increase there speed and power. lumping them together is like saying the bowguns ammo system is the same as the gunlances wyvern blast.

I tried a Gunlance before. Didn't hate it. Were I to use a weapon with a shield, it would be that one.

Giganox is ...not fun, but it's not on my "hate to hunt" list, I just don't go farming the things. Plesioth however can go die in a fire.
Ugh...That G-Rank Green Plesioth was a big roadblock when we got to it. I'm not looking forward to writing about that one. XD

I recently started using them for the first time and I love them. I've also learned that different monsters are harder for different people. For some reason, Plesioth is my bane. Gigginox used to be, but that was before we had to hunt so many of them. I'm sure I'd be better at fighting Plesioths if I took them time, I just don't enjoy the fight. Zins and Styg Zins are probably my favorite monsters to fight.
seriously though luna should send them to pokke to train, maybe if pinkie kills a tigrex, akantor, narucougra, teostra, lunastra, kushala daeora, yamatsukami, kirin, fatalis, white fatalis and crimson fatalis, she'll be fully ready for altereon. (sorry if any of these are mispelled)
also they are gonna need 2 more people for altereon, thats a 4 person monster.
More characters are coming in the next few chapters, for sure.
