Okay wait... wut? My mind is trying to process things... AND IT HURTS MY BRAIN! (We do know what's happening... should we tell him?) ((No, let him figure it out on his own. He's a big boy.))
Called it on Rumble's animus partly being connected to his parents! Though I was with Cheerilee in first believing them absent in a rather permanent fashion. Luckily, they're not dead- still, you could see how witnessing so many of her poor students have such a hard time at home is wearing her down.
2373200 I'm happy it isn't cuz I really don't like rapestuff but the way the word rape was going around and how Rumble felt so hurt and vulnerable I had a nagging feeling he might do it himself to reestablish "balance".
2373211 I feel like I'd ruin a lot of people's analysises (analisi?) of fhe story if I say this, but I'm going to say it anyways.
Rumble here is just a kid. This story, although told third-person omniscent, is somewhat more his perspective, so as a result his train of thought is most of what comprises the tale. He throws around words like rape and the various curses and terms he's using because he's just a kid, and has no idea just how serious they are.
Most foalcon tales don't really go into that. Then again, not a whole lot of them use a male protagonist, so I sorta wanted to takes a few steps into that shitfield. Rape is a bit of a double-standard crime- If it happens to a female, no matter what, it's horrible and disgusting. When it happens to a male, society treats it much differently.
You could say that guys getting raped is much, much, much less frequent, but it does happen, and it is terrible. Saying it's not is like saying that a much rarer cancer isn't as bad as a common one. It's cancer. It's horrible.
I really wish there was a "follow" button that wasn't a "read-later" or "favorite" button. This doesn't even come close to being a fave for me, but I'm definitely curious to see what direction this will go.
I am rather curious about Mare-Do-Well being used as a porn persona of cheerilee's from several years back, seeing how there was every indication in the show that Mare-Do-Well was an original creation that the mane 6 (minus RD) came up with during a time when Cheerilee was already a teacher.
Hey there. I just read this whole thing (in response to that thread you made on the Clopfics group) and I'm really glad I did! This is a lot different from other cloppy stuff, and I'd say in a good way! It's interesting to say the least.
I really appreciate all the introspection. It feels as if, at this point, Rumble is a wonderfully characterized character because of his introspection and inaction. There's actually legitimate, interesting conflict as well. Not only from Rumble battling with himself over his sudden sexuality, but with his grades, his brother, etc... it's just really compelling and interesting to read about. The clop is sorta tasteful, too, and it serves a greater purpose, which is awesome! That's my favorite kind of clop; when people use it as a device to do something else in their story.
I think that Scootaloo could use some of that same characterization, though. Shipping is a lot about both characters, and while Rumble is the blanker slate, I'd love to see more of Scoots taking on a greater personality, or having some conflict of her own.
Your writing is really charming. Your humor with him messing up her name made me smirk and laugh a lot, and even the mundane feels really interesting. I envy that a lot!
I would comment and say that the clop could use a bit more detail, but that's really just a personal preference of mine. I looove super detailed clop. But I don't think the clop in this is meant to be sexy as much as interesting.
This is brilliant and adorable and cloppy and foalcon-y all at once. You're writing -- let's see, is 'brilladoroppyfoalcon' a word? That should be a word.
First chapter, liked. Second, fav'd. Third, followed.
Your pacing and realistic use of the characters is a breath of fresh air really. Most of what i read nowadays is predictable, but enjoyable, like a blockbuster movie. This is like a hidden gem. It's different, which unfortunately doesn't draw a crowd, but those who decide to spend their time on it know it's a 10/10.
This is a perfect tale of a kid who was forced into a world he had no knowledge of like me and now he's forced to deal with the shame ad heartache of growing up so quickly
I broke down into tears when Cheerilee apologized to him because he didnt have any friends I mean, I was also listening to some really feelsy music, but holy fuck sobbing on an airplane
Almost cock blocked. Lucky Rumble!
Should I feel ashamed for enjoying this?
Damn straight.
Do I feel ashamed for reading this?
Not in the least
I liked this chapter, and I wonder what will happen with Cheerilee.

At some point I though Rumble was gonna rape DT and SS for being bitches, that would've been ... weird
2373027 This isn't that kind of clopfic.

Blah. I digress.
2373434 Let's just agree on this being a very good story :p Molly likes it

2373500 Well, she was christened by Mayor Mare. Maybe the Mayor is a retro porn collector and figured she could get away with it.
Or something. I dunno.

In any case, I really liked this. Good job man!
Loved the ending
I for one really enjoyed this chapter. Interesting Sub-Plot with Cheerilee you've got going on!
