This has pretty good grammar, I'll give you that, but if you really want to write something good, start from here:
-Type down something, and don't look at it, as it'll make doubt on decisions.
-After you're done with a chapter/segment, take a few seconds to forget about your story.
-Read the story as if you didn't write it.
-Make edits, then repeat from step 2 if necessary.
-Wait a bit longer, maybe an hour. (Some authors do days)
-Read your story one last time and make sure it's at the best it can be.
It's a long, grueling process, but this is how all featured stories make it. (Not that I've ever had one
) Hope this helped even in the slightest.

Feels a bit rushed, His reaction to a world of colorful talking horses seems a bit too... calm, Its the same for the ponies. If I was a pony, and I saw a strange bipedal creature that I have no knowledge of sitting on a bench, my reaction would be to contact authorities, not sit down next to it. If I was a human and a talking horse sat down next to me and started speaking English then I would start flipping out... or at least think i was on some sort of drug. On the bright side the grammar is pretty good and I'll definitely be paying attention to this story. I would advise trying what Nightshift suggested, it would probably help, I would also find other Human in Equestria stories and pay attention to the reactions of the Human and the ponies. Hope This Helps.
