This story is written in human format. If that bothers you, disregard this story and continue on doing whatever it is you do when not reading humanfic. Also, this story will have a lot of rave scenes and other music-involving-scenarios, as such I will include links to the music that is supposedly playing, you don't have to listen to any of it, but sometimes it's nice. Oh, and here is a map of the world this story takes place in, just in case you get confused about locations and stuff. Double Rainbow

The chilled night air was filled with the livid cries and excited squeals of children racing through the streets of Ponyville, scaring and being scared by each other as they ran around the city collecting all the free candy and taking part in the various events of one of the most popular celebrations of the year. Nightmare night.

It was a night to relish in fear and indulge one's self in the mysterious and unknown. A night of terror and fright. Though all in good fun, some people tended to take the celebration a little too far. One of these people being a very specific rainbw-haired girl lounging on a small thunderhead, waiting for her next victim...

Yet much to the girl's chagrin, no one dared approach the inconspicuous cloud. It seems that her tricks had been deduced over the years and her old pranks had lost their shock value. Bummer...

So instead of shooting lightning at the patriots of the city, Rainbow Dash opted to open her crystal blue wings and float down to where here friend Applejack was working at an apple-centered event. The little cluster of tents was selling apple treats and cider, hosting apple bobbing, apple shooting archery, and hay-wagon rides driven by her older brother Big Macintosh.

As our ruby-eyed fan-favorite glided down to the ground bellow, she sized up her country-born blonde friend. The apple family's eldest daughter decided to dress up a bit for the occasion. While she wasn't wearing a costume, she still put some effort into her appearance for the night, wearing her nice leather cowgirl jacket she reserved only for the rodeo and other special occasions. Other than that she had her trademarked stetson sitting atop her long golden hair and the slim-fitting jeans and leather boots on that she usually wore when she wasn't working.

"Well howdy there Dashie, what brings you 'round this neck a' the woods?" the cowgirl addressed her best-friend/rival in her sweet as honey southern accent.

Rainbow Dash went a similar route as Applejack, opting not to dress in costume for this nightmare night. Instead she wore her usual cold weather attire of black sports pants, a blue tank top under her aviator jacket and blue sneakers on her feet. The only deviation from her regular attire was the addition of diamond ear studs in place of her ruby ones. She only wore them on special occasions and claimed that they were given to her as a gift from someone very special a long time ago, though she never disclosed who it was.

"I got bored. There's no one to scare anymore" she drawled.

Applejack chuckled lightly at her friends situation. Obviously if you use the same trick year after year people will start to expect it and it won't be surprise anymore, which was the whole purpose in scaring people. She found it funny how her friend never seemed to understand that concept.

"Oh hey I heard that there's gunna be a rave on central" Rainbow stated to her friend -idly inspecting her ruby red fingernails- who was absentmindedly staring off into the distance where people were running around in the streets merrily.

"Oh? Who told ya that?" Applejack responded halfheartedly.

"Oddly enough, the egghead did" the rainbow-haired girl let out a chuckle at the look A.J made.

"Really? Twily told you 'bout a rave? What in tarnation is a girl like her doin' at one a them things?" Applejack snorted sarcastically.

"Apparently she was dragged there by Fluttershy of all people!"

"Now I know that's a lie" the cowgirl once more bearing an incredulous expression.

"No seriously!" Rainbow laughed out. "Hey, hows about we go check it out? Thumping bass, pounding rhythms..." Rainbow Dash leaned in close to Applejack, narrowing her ruby eyes at the farmer girl while a smirk made its way across her face as she whispered into A.J's ears "-sweaty dancing with equally sweaty boys."

Applejack felt heat rise to her face as a solid blush crept across her features. Her friend felt the need to tease just a bit more. "C'mon A.J, show those boys you know how to work those curves" Rainbow reiterated by teasingly smacking her friend's rear.

That got to Applejack's temper to flare and she was about to yell at Rainbow Dash when all of a sudden some man wearing a white plastic ghost mask bumped into the two girls.

"Oops, sorry. On my way to the rave, you going?" said the man as he dusted off Rainbow Dash and Applejack's shoulders after bumping into them, earning a confused expression from both girls. The only discerning features about the man was his pathetic bed sheet ghost costume, and the fact that he spoke differently. Maybe it was just the mask, but he pronounced things... strangely.

The two girls stood startled a little and stared at the strange man and didn't give him an answer. Well that and he never really gave them time to answer.

"Yeah well, sorry again about that. You really should go to the rave, it'll be great!" The strange man patted Rainbow on the shoulder as he ran off in the direction of central street. And what the two girls assumed was the man's friend -who wore a dragon costume- shouted over his shoulder as he ran after his friend "and if you go, buy a t-shirt!"

After a few moments the two girls broke out of their trances and looked at each other, giving on another a confused look and just shrugging it off.

"Th' hay was that?" Applejack asked.

"I don't know" Rainbow said in a detached tone.

After a few more moments of stupor on Rainbow's side, she narrowed her eyes slightly, saying, "but I do know that we're going to that rave." It was more of an order than anything. But all Applejack could do was agree.

"I get off in thirty minutes, we can-" she started but was cut off by Rainbow Dash when she glared at her.

"No, we gotta go now!"

Normally Applejack would've protested, but she could see that there was more behind why Rainbow Dash was so eager than to just dance to some electric music, though she had no clue what.

"Alright, lemme just tell Big Mac" she replied sternly.

"Fine, but make it quick" Rainbow Dash said impatiently.

A few moments later and the cowgirl returned to walk with Rainbow, and the two headed for central.

"Arg, this is taking too long!" The spunky athlete beside Applejack complained.

"Well what're ya gunna do about it?" Applejack retorted.

But she immediately regretted saying that when she saw the mischievous smirk play across Rainbow's face.

"This" her rainbow-colored companion said, sprouting a pair of blue clear wings from her back.

In a span of mere seconds, Rainbow Dash grew her wings, grabbed a tight hold of Applejack and jumped up into the air taking flight ad heading to their destination.

They flew at wild speeds -though not nearly as fast as she could go due to her cargo- all the while Applejack screamed in horror as they sailed within inches of the buildings caging them in and narrowing Rainbow's path.

But after a few agonizingly horrifying minutes of flying, the two girls had made it to their destination. And as much as she didn't wasn't to admit it, Applejack was glad they'd flown. If they hadn't they would have never made it in because of the massive crowd waiting in the middle of central for the rave to begin.

Central street in Ponyville was a pedestrian only part of town that was a huge circle surrounded by buildings consisting of malls, office buildings and specialty stores. It was the entertainment hub of all of Ponyville and was often times the main location for large scale public events like this to be held.

Rainbow Dash and Applejack had by some miracle been able to find Twilight and Fluttershy in the sea of people when they flew over the scene. And so the two of them made their way through the crowd to where the egghead and pinkette were over by one of the refreshment stands.

"Hey Twilight! Fluttershy!" Rainbow Dash waved over to her two friends.

Twilight's eyes brightened up significantly at the sight of her friends and eagerly waved them over.

When the pair got over to the bar that Twilight and Fluttershy were seated at, Applejack asked "so, what's this all about? Must be someone big if it draws a crowd like this'n."

"Yeah, I forget who's playing" Twilight answered sheepishly. "Hey Fluttershy, who did you say was performing again?"

"I-I said it was um, Roy G. Bivv featuring PON-3" Fluttershy replied meekly. But right after she had said that, Rainbow's eyes widened in utter shock. (Note that Roy G. Bivv is not a self insert, I just thought those initials would be clever.)

"H-hey, what's wrong Rainbow?" Twilight asked when she noticed Rainbow's expression.

Applejack looked over as well and was taken aback a bit at Rainbow's blank stare and slack jaw. "What's wrong partner?"

Rainbow Dash shook herself out of her stupor and asked anxiously, "D-d-did you j-just say, R-roy G. Bivv...?"

Fluttershy nervously replied with "Y-yes... Why is that a problem?"

They could see Rainbow's eyes glaze over and it was quite apparent that she was holding back tears.

"Rainbow, what's wrong?" Twilight asked, concerned for her friend.

Rainbow Dash felt a lump in her throat and spoke through forced voice, "N-n-nothering..." She bit her knuckle nervously.

The three other girls just gave concerned glances at their friend, but chose not to press the matter when they saw that the rave was about to start.

They heard a microphone being tested, and not soon after, Mayor Mare's voice could be heard through out central street. She was introducing the two artists that would be playing.

"Welcome citizens of Ponyville. Tonight, we have two very special guests" as she said that, two spotlights, -one red and one blue- turned on the crowd could see two figures being raised from platforms up high onto the stage where two sets of turntables awaited the artists.

The mayor continued, "Tonight, we would like you all to give a warm welcome to our entertainers, DJ ROYGBIV and PON-3!" At that a loud roar of cheers emanated from the crowd and all the street lights shut off, the only light now coming from the bright moon and the colorfully lit stage.

Strobe lights and other special effects along with a pair of giant screens displaying the two started going off behind the two performers, and a song started to play.

As the song started, the performer under the red light, recognized as ROYGBIV addressed the crowd, "'Ello Ponyville, great to be here yadda yadda yadda! Show me you can dance!" He shouted out, and immediately afterwards a group of six people, two with wings, were launched out of the stage and proceeded to dance in a fluid motion. The rest of the crowd took this as their queue to start dancing themselves.

Back at the tents, Twilight, Applejack and Fluttershy noticed the pained look of longing that came across their rainbow-haired girl. Twilight was about to ask if everything was okay with Dash when she was beaten by Applejack who had been looking between the giant screen displaying the performer underneath the red light. "R-rainbow, you wouldn't, happen to know that there Roy G. Bivv guy would you?"

They had pretty much gotten their answer when Rainbow dejectedly looked at the ground. Twilight also looked up at where the screen was behind the performer beside Vinyl Scratch. Needless to say she was absolutely shocked when she noticed the resemblance between Roy and her friend. Roy looked like a male Rainbow Dash through and through. He had the exact same eye color, inverted rainbow hair and the unmistakable glint in his smirk that Rainbow Dash herself had.

When Twilight spoke up, her voice was low and disbelieving, "Rainbow, are you two-"

She was unable to finish her sentence when Rainbow Dash interrupted her by answering what she knew she was about to say. "Yes, we're related. We're twins..."

With that statement left hanging in the air, all three girls had wide eyes and slack jaws at what they had just heard. They were inclined not to believe her, but when the DJ spoke once again to signal the start of the new song, all doubt was erased.

"This next one's for you Dashie" Roy said with a grin, and the next song played.

The rest of the rave went by in a blur. All Rainbow Dash could think of was her twin brother up on that stage and how she hadn't seen him in six years! What the hell was he doing here in Equestria? What the hell was he doing here in Equestria as a famous musician? Why the hell didn't he write to her about any of this? Oh there was going to be hell to pay, that much was sure.

After the the Rave had ended at near one in the three in the morning, there was a line up at the souvenir stall beside the stage where Gabriel (ROYGBIV) and Vinyl Scratch signed the shirts of those who paid for a premium ticket to the rave.

When Rainbow Dash saw this line, she made to trample her way to the front, but was stopped by Applejack's firm grip on her shoulder. Applejack just gave her a shake of the head silently telling her not to make a scene. And so Rainbow begrudgingly waited her turn in line.

It wasn't for at least another twenty minutes that Rainbow and entourage finally made it to the front of the line. Gabe was absentmindedly chatting with Vinyl while leaning back in his chair with his feet on the table when Rainbow Dash cleared her throat gaining both his and Vinyl's attention.

"What can I do ya for love-" Gabe was unable to finish his sentence when he really saw who he was looking at. And with his Cervidian accent along with his slightly changed features, Rainbow Dash was sure this was her brother. And Gabe was sure that the girl in front of him was his his sister.

"Dashie?" Gabe question.

"Gabriel?" Rainbow asked in turn.

"Dashie!" Gabriel shouted and jumped right over the table, now standing in front of his twin sister.

Rainbow Dash's eyes started to water and she looked at the ground under Gabe's feet, not able to look him in the eye yet. This sent a pang of pain through Gabe's chest.

"Rainbow Dash-" he started off, but was interrupted by Rainbow Dash as she tackled him to the ground in a bear hug, effectively causing a scene.

"You idiot!" She shouted into his chest. Rainbow was now openly crying. The first time anyone of her friends had seen her truly cry.

"Shhh, it's okay Dashie. Don't muck up your pretty face crying for me" Gabe said soothingly while stroking Rainbow's hair, though a hint of melancholy was present in his voice.

Rainbow looked up from her brother's chest and wiped away the tears staining her eyes. "Wh-when did you get here? Why didn't you tell e? It's been too long, why couldn't you tell your sister you were coming over here?" Rainbow Dash choked out the questions through sobs.

Another tug at the heartstrings for Gabe, and he winced at the last part.

"I know, I know it's been ages. But I had my reasons..." Gabriel explained.

"What kind of reasons?" Rainbow demanded.

Gabe sighed audibly and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Look, why don't you come over tonight. Me and Tooth got a place over in the western part of town. Nice place actually, bring your friends if you'd like." He offered.

But that one name he'd just said. Once he'd uttered it, something clicked in Rainbow's head.

"Wait. Did you just say, Tooth is here?" Rainbow asked.

"Yeah" Gabe replied.

"Tooth II? Tooth II of the Claw clan?"

"The one and only!" A voice from behind the table spoke up from behind the table. He spoke in the same Cervidian accent as Gabriel.

"Oh noooo!" Rainbow drawled.

Gabriel stood up, helping Rainbow Dash to her feet as well, and the man known as Tooth climbed over the table and stood next to Gabe and leaned on his shoulder.

Now that the two boys were standing unobstructed, the girls were able to get a good glimpse of what they looked like. And Rainbow Dash could see how they had changed.

Gabriel stood about the same height as Tooth, and as said before, he had the same color of hair that Rainbow Dash did only inverted. His hair however was spiky and messy, one of the locks covering one of his eyes that were the same ruby shade as Rainbow's.

Like Rainbow Dash, Gabriel had lightly tanned skin and a slender, athletic body. He wore a white hoodie with baby blue trim and an abstract cherry blossom design across the right side and back of the article over-top of a blue and white striped shirt. The sleeves on the hoodie were rolled up. Aside from his white sport pants and black skate shoes, the only other noteworthy features on him was a golden cross necklace around his neck and the silver studs he wore in his ears.

The other boy, tooth, had a slightly bulkier build and wore a lot less flashy clothing. His attire consisted of a pull over black hoodie with the sleeves rolled up, purple headphones around his neck, two sweat bands on his wrists, baggy dark blue jeans and deep blue running shoes.

His hair was jet black and very spiky. The girls also noted that he had slotted green eyes and sharp ears -which also had silver studs like Gabe's.

"Your ears have gotten sharper" Rainbow coldly addressed the man beside her brother.

"Oh sweetheart, you're so cruel. It's been years and that's the hello I get?" He asked jokingly.

"Yeah well it's been six years to short." Rainbow huffed and crossed her arms over her chest.

Tooth looked over to Gabe, looking for help, but all Gabe could do was shrug.

"Well, anyways, why don't we head back over to our place. We can catch up. Besides, it's been far too long since I've kicked your ass at arm-wrestling" Ray offered trying to defuse the situation. He smiled at Dash hopefully, and she tried o hold her disdain. But eventually it faltered and she uncrossed her arms, returning Gabe's smile.

"Fine, but you'll be the one to lose this time! I've been training with A.J over here for our re-match!" Rainbow Stated smugly.

"We'll just see about that" Gabe smirked equally as cocky.

"Well, I'd hate to brake up this cute little sentiment, but it's getting very late, I'm getting very wary of this place, and we need to close up here" Tooth said in a rush, trying to get things moving.

"Right, sorry Dashie can I have a few minutes... to an hour to wrap things up here?" Gabe asked with an apologetic look.

Rainbow Dash groaned in annoyance, but they head a voice come from the table.

"Nah, it's all good I got this. Go chill with your sister dude, I'll clean up" Vinyl said from behind the counter.

"Really? You sure? I mean-"

"Just go already, before I change my mind" Vinyl shot him a smirk and Gabriel gladly took the favor.

"Thanks, I you a bunch!" He thanked her, but she merely waved him off.

"Right then, shall we be going?" Gabe clapped his hands together conclusively.

He got a resounding nod from the group and headed off to the western district of town where his new place was, a grin on his face the entire time.

Oh a little important note. After re-reading the story, I realize that it's not a good idea to write at 5 am, as such I will be editing they story a little bit, just fixing up a few rough spots. So look for that hopefully by tonight... Yeah...
