Yes, they were also released. I was going to have a scene showing their freeing from their stone prison, but I realized that would give the impression that Cozy and Tirek would show up throughout the story, when they don’t. I’m planning on having them return in a sequel, but not this current story.
It's like Chrysalis is trying to be a good mother, but I feel like her curse, which is that "all of Chrysalis's creations eventually leave her and pass her on" still has its effect.
