A spark of green fire on a candle was lit; lighting up the pitch black room. A green aurora picked up a feather, dipping it into ink, then writing it on a page in a book.

I had it all… a home and children, soon all of the power I could imagine as well, but none of that lasted. First I lost power, but as frustrating as that was, at least I had a place to call home and my beloved children, but soon, this pathetic unicorn: Starlight Glimmer took all of that away! Leaving me with nothing but sadness. But soon, a “spark” of hope came. I was tasked with these other villains to take over Equestria. But once again, we failed, all because those posy ponies are too disparate. The nail in the coffin wasn’t even that, it was them imprisoning me into stone! At least I still had the ability to move after I lost my kingdom, but not after that. Kinda surprises me that those figures describe themselves as more caring than anyone else, yet had the guts to imprison a child. Even I think that’s too far. I was stuck in that pose with those two losers by me for an eternity! Well, actually, it felt like an eternity. Around a year after my imprisonment, a few of my drones had released me. I thought Thorax changed all of them, but it seems we still had a few smarties out there, thankfully. The filly that was imprisoned, Cozy Glow insisted on us continuing to work together. I don’t know if being petrified gives you memory loss, but it sure didn’t for me at least. Why in a million years would we work together again after we failed? Well, I suppose I’m a bit hypocritical for asking that. Because, since I broke free, I’ve decided to make a new hive and generation of changelings. However, along with that, I have someone who’ll be just as powerful as me alongside, on top of an army…

In a room was a young changeling, though not a normal one. She had a larger shell upon her back, more unique looking horn, pupils, and hair. She was on her bed, reading a book. A knock was then heard on the door, catching the attention of the youngling. Who stepped in was a drone.

“The Queen wants you, Princess.” He said.

The princess nodded and closed her book, setting it off to the side. She stepped over and nodded. Minutes later, she arrived in a big room, where Queen Chrysalis was sitting, waiting.

“Ah. Princess Cercaria.” Chrysalis said, stepping over.

“So, what did you call me for? New spells? Plan tactics? Feast of animals tonight?” Cercaria said, happily.

“No.” Chrysalis answered. “This is something a little different…”

Cercaria tilted her head in confusion. The two walked over and Chrysalis pulled something out. It was a box. When she opened it, the youngling’s face beamed.

“My birthday?” She asked.

Chrysalis nodded. There were cupcakes inside, indicating it was her birthday.

“But,” Cercaria said. “How’s that new though?”

“Well. Since you’ve been doing so well, it’s time to move onto your next task. This will be quite different, however.”

Cercaria took her first bite at a cupcake.

“What’s this about?”

“We’ll be heading to The Crystal Empire.”

“Wait. Isn’t that where Cadence, Shining Armor, and Flurry Heart live?”

“Absolutely. And those are your targets.”

“I thought you mentioned we won’t be attacking for another decade?”

“That’s still the case. You will be pretending to be a pony. “Befriending” Princess Flurry Heart. While that happens, you’ll be secretly feeding off of the filly’s parents. Every weekend this will occur as we still need to keep your other training up. But this will be an important task to train and power yourself.”

“Woah! Can’t believe I’m gonna meet those ponies.” Cercaria took another bite of the cupcake.

“Just remember:” Chrysalis said.

“Friendship is a disease. I won’t let those ponies fool me, mother.”

“That’s my girl!” Chrysalis rubbed cheeks with her. “Just remember what we’re fighting for when they try to lure you.”

Cercaria nodded. She finished her first cupcake, making a mess on her face. Chrysalis chuckled, levitating a wipe over and cleaning her face.

Later in the day, a few crystal ponies walked into The Crystal Empire, with a little filly along.
The city was busy, with it being a Saturday.

“How am I gonna find Flurry Heart?” Cercaria, as the filly asked.

“I ordered my guard here to come and speculate when the Princess comes out. Turns out, she goes to the ice cream shop every weekend.” Chrysalis explained. “Another reason I scheduled this mission for today, so you can finally try ice cream. My troops can never get them back from Ponyville to the kingdom in time.” She mumbled.

Minutes later, they arrived at the shop. There was a huge line. They looked around and eventually spotted Flurry Heart, who was standing in the line, talking to her parents.

“There she is.” Chrysalis said, pointing. “All right, let the plan begin.”

They all nodded. Chrysalis walked away. Cercaria then got in line. After a moment, the two disguised guards walked over and cut in line, pushing the filly.

“Hey! You’re not supposed to cut!” Cercaria said.

“Aw! What are you gonna do?” One said.

Flurry Heart then caught attention of the situation. Cercaria stood back up.

“Nothing! That’s what.” The other guard said.

The two started fake laughing, and Cercaria started fake crying. As she started walking away

“Wait!” Flurry Heart said. “You can come join us.”

She moved her hoof towards her. Cercaria walked over to them. Cadence and Shining Armor turned their attention to the new one’s face.

“Who are you?” Cadence asked.

“Angelite.” Cercaria lied.

“That’s a pretty name.” Shining complemented.

“Not as pretty as that bow your daughter’s wearing.”
Cercaria said, pointing to the filly’s bow. Flurry looked up at it.

“Really?” She asked. “It’s just a generic blue bow.”

“Well, I think it looks nice.” Cercaria said.

Flurry smiled. The two continued talking as the line was quite long. Eventually, the two were able to order their ice creams. Cercaria put her hoof up to her chin, looking at the menu, struggling to decide which to go for.

I could go for rainbow flavor. She thought. But what if it has friendshipy magic in it? Not taking that chance.

After a hot minute, she finally decided:

“Banana and strawberry.” Cercaria said. The pony nodded.

“And can I have vanilla, please?” Flurry asked.

“Of course, Princess!” The pony replied.

Cercaria raised an eyebrow at the filly.

“Vanilla? I thought you would pick something more innovative.”

“Well, it’s what I like.” Flurry replied.

Cercaria then looked up towards a bird. The bird was Chrysalis, nodding in approval of her good profile so far. The pony then gave the gang their ice creams. Princess Cadence had gotten mint flavor, and Shining Armor got chocolate. They walked out into a field beside the roads, diving into their ice creams. Cercaria finally tried it and

“Woah! This is really good.” She said. “Can’t believe I’ve gone my whole life without ice cream.”

Flurry then raised an eyebrow.

“You’ve never had ice cream?”

Chrysalis then looked anxious at Cercaria, as did her.

“I meant “Can’t believe I’ve gone my whole life without this flavor of ice cream.” She corrected, slightly sweating.

“Ah, okay.” Flurry said, smiling.

Cercaria phew in relief. Chrysalis flew down to her daughter’s ear.

“Gotta make sure you don’t make too many mistakes like that.” She whispered.

“I’ll make sure, mother.” Cercaria whispered and nodded.

“You already feel the power from them?” Chrysalis asked.

“I kinda do. Then again, everything here is making me feel more powerful. It seems this is the capital of Equestria when it comes to love.”

“You’d be correct, dear. Just keep up this act, and you’ll be more powerful than Twilight Sparkle ever was eventually!”

Cercaria nodded, grinning, until Flurry noticed the two’s conversation.

“Why are you talking to that bird, Angelite?” Flurry asked.

“Oh! Well I actually have the power to talk to animals, fun fact.”

Cercaria put her hoof out, letting Chrysalis land on it as the bird, chirping, to not cause suspicion.

“That’s cool!” Cadence said.

“My sister’s friend is the only one I know who can talk to animals.” Shining mentioned. “You must be pretty special.”

“I am.” Cercaria conceited.

“You wanna hang out with us for the rest of the day?” Flurry asked.

“Certainly.” Cercaria replied, looking back towards Chrysalis as the bird in the air, smiling.
