why did the villains decide to help defeat the Grogar at all? They could just warn the heroes with an anonymous letter and watch from afar as the heroes defeat him. And now they not only lost the element of surprise by revealing themselves, but also voluntarily put themselves in a cage.

just if you look strategically. Then no one knew that the trio created an alliance. Moreover, everyone thought that the two villains were in tartar. These two facts were trump cards that no one expected to see on the gaming table. And having opened in my opinion, the trio lost these trump cards.
