Just a friendly Autistic writer who overthinks the adventures of characters. I do story commissions! Current focus: Equestria Girls. Respects G5's existence (somebrony has to!).

Sequels1

This story is a sequel to When Life Gives You Snow...

Every year before Winter Break, Vice-Principal Luna goes to the local mall with a certain storybook in hand. Her goal is the same each year: to tell to the little children of Canterlot City one of her favorite holiday legends from CHS. It is a tale that serves as a warm reminder of the importance of the holiday spirit.

This is a prequel to Spring Surprises, hence the Alt-Universe tag. But, it works well as a standalone tale.

The Canterlot Movie Club, which consisted of Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo. They were escorted by their equally recognizable big sisters; Applejack, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash respectively.

It wasn't clear for me for a while too, but Rainbow and Scootaloo are not related with each other. Makes a scene of a short funnier for me, as Rainbow grabs a random child (Scootaloo) for a dance battle. :rainbowlaugh:

Violin strings for Octavia.

Octavia: *angry cello noises*

Alright, considering it's tagged Alt. Universe, I guess these little changes are intentional. :trixieshiftright:

Now to the whole fic: I liked the spirit of it and the effort put into the story Luna tells to make it rhyme. Quite poetic

One thing I noticed is the high usage of ; at the end of paragraphs or sentences. Not sure if that's intentional or not, just something that sticked out to me as I would use a simple "." instead.

Thanks for the feedback and for reading the story!

From my understanding of G4 as a whole, Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash are basically sisters at heart. As for Octavia, her focus is on the Cello, but I can see her playing other string instruments as well. She is a talented musician, after all.

I typically use ; at the end of sentences that come before character dialogue (and, in this case, before the next set of lines from Luna's story), but I have seen other writers use , instead.
