*Sees Shinning "filthy bastard son of a whore" Amor force himself and coerce his DAUGHTER IN LAW into impregnating sex and also awaken his repressed Hyper Stallion.*
Well then! We are doing this like the Arasaka Tower Bombing of 2023 meets Wolfenstein The Old Blood! FOLKLORE, SICK HIM AND HANG HIM BY HIS LIVING GUTS MAY HE UNDERSTAND ETERNAL VIOLATION FROM A PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL LEVEL!!!
Folklore: "Who the fuck are ya!? And what are ya talking about? Fak off!"
11383067 Lol, certainly one of the most intense chapters so far imo, despite a lack of action! (although lots of 'action'!) Hope we've portrayed Arcanum and Bloody Merry well so far! Hard to say whether Shining or Fiery is worse, poor Moonlight...
(1) I wonder if the Changelings suffered agony as they were taken over by the Mi-Go infection. If so, then that's rough.
(2) Ah, so this is a rogue changeling! Yeah, considering that Chrysalis would try to retake Equestria multiple times after her initial defeat, first with a proper replacement of the government and then with Tirek and Cozy, it's no surprise that this Chrysalis would end up using suspicious mushrooms.
(3) Hmmm, I would like to know what's the backstory of the changelings for this AU. Like, I always contributed Discord bringing down the empires and then Equestria managing to keep the upper hand.
(4) Yeah, he has a point that if the universe does collapse it wouldn't matter if good, bad, neutral, from any perspective, won. They'd all cease to exist.
Though yet again another one blames Beatrix.
(5) Deinos is a pretty interesting changeling! Love how he teased Lightning Spark, and her reaction to his monster sized changeling cock. And then how he's actually Web Spinner!
I wonder how that will effect things going forward ;)
(6) Mortis vs Andrei? I did not expect that. Quicksilver helping Mortis bring Andrei's downfall by his own scorpions was also interesting. And then how he feels a bit iffy seeing the dragon be nothing but a slave. At least we get to see how reapers can absorb souls.
(7) I like how Ashen kisses Rheneas, showing how much he loves her as they get sucked by the new portal. At least it's probably the more safer type.
(8) I liked the scene between Kyube and Kitsuné. Has some lewd teasing but it's mainly cute and fun. It was also fun to see everyone train with their partners. How everyone plays off each other is nice.
Of course things are different with Midnight and Equinox. I wonder how things would be different if Midnight is able to achieve a balance between his hyper side and normal self. Or how things would've gone if Midnight was under Fiery or Equinox at an earlier time.
(9) The house is a bit too convenient, but no matter what happens it means more story!
(10) Ooooooo, I like the Hammer's Twins scene! Nice to see that Moon Hammer wanted to give his wives something while he was away. This scene is pretty hot.
(12) Poor Moonlight has to deal with feeling alone and needing Midnight to give her affection. Her attempt to escape coincidentally lead her to encounter Fiery's meeting.
And I'm honestly still rooting for Fiery. What do ya know! Like, he offers really good points, and well this isn't the first time they did something that was morally dubious. Like lowering minimum age to have children learn the art of war.
I wonder how things would change if Thunder Storm was around. I feel the military was profoundly affected by his death. Without him there's nobody to check Shining Armor's lust and weakness and Fiery Kickstarter's extreme actions and morality.
(13) From a sex scene standpoint, Shining dominating Moonlight was hot.
From a story standpoint though, this is a very sad betrayal as well as the downfall of Shining Armour. He basically took advantage of Moonlight's eagerness to help him and betrayed her trust.
Shining had no right to do this. If he already stated that he was already out of favor to keep his position, why do this and potentially split Equestria in half? Why try and 'match' Fiery's extreme actions? Fiery is extreme because the situation demands for it. Everything must be done to protect Equestria. What Shining did is outright horrible and is worse than whatever Fiery is doing.
At least Fiery had Midnight fuck his wives. He's so far doing nothing majorly wrong. His young conscription law might've saved Equestria as they have a larger reserve force than what they would've. Midnight and Moonlight are soldiers because of that and they helped in the Lightendark Crisis. From a materialistic point of view, sacrificing Midnight's lifespan for Super Soldiers isn't the worst trade off. Especially since war is all they know.
But Shining basically did the worst thing imaginable to Moonlight. And he lost another ally from the few he has. If he even has any allies left at all.
It makes me a bit worried that Fiery has yet to show any truly horrible action despite being extreme. At least within the reading. Maybe in universe he has done terrible things we haven't known yet, but none probably reach Shining's level.
If nothing major happens, I definitely would want to see Fiery win against Shining. A successful coup. A proper militarized Equestria.
And then all hell breaks loose as the dimension begins to have it's last breath as it slowly begins to collapse. Oof.
(14) Midnight thinking "wait, Iclyn can't have foals" was so funny while also being concerning. Cause he is losing his control. I wouldn't say he's a disaster waiting to happen, as in to the level that Shining Armor just committed, but he's walking down a dangerous road.
He never wants to do what his hyper side wants, feeling guilty, while Shining Armor feels cowardly to follow what his lust wants but now just achieved that. That's what splits him from Shining Armor.
Ah, and he had to bump into Equinox.
(15) Midnight is the embodiment of the saying "the spirit is strong but the body is weak".
At least he was able to escape this time. It's always interesting seeing if he'll be able to keep his self control at any given moment.
Oh and of course what Equinox said ended up becoming his own words when he talked to Cerise. Equinox, Shining, and Fiery's actions have made things as hard as it was for Midnight, Cerise, and Moonlight as did Doppia. They feel abandoned, guilty, and downright horrible. I feel bad for the trio. They really don't deserve this type of experience. But that's how things work here.
(16) So Arcanum's being tempted by the idea of getting the Necronomicon. Also he's trying to fix the anomalies. His fortitude is strong.
Unfortunately something seems to be waiting Beatrix if the lines of the story indicate something.
11384675 Thanks for the breakdown on the latest, longest chapter so far! Glad to have your OCs, I've enjoyed exploring them! Nice to give Moonlight some more screentime as she's often pushed aside, Lightning Spark and Fiery have been great too!
11384675 1) Cordyceps are one hell of a parasite. 4) Bea just can't catch a break 5) Unlike the more ant/bee type insectoids MLP changelings are based after, Deinos is based on spiders. Specifically, the ogre faced. 6) Andrei fits the niche of 'incredibly strong, but with little personality.' Most of what makes him interesting to me is his design and lore, but having him become the ideal tool in Mortis' revenge only adds to the badass imagery. 8) That's probably my second favorite writer of this chapter. Unplanned romances tend to work in my favor. 9) The house, for all intents and purposes, should not be there. 13) Fiery literally wants to enforce child soldiers by having Midnight become a breeding stud and impregnate so many participants, some of which will likely be unwilling... I'd argue that's far worse than Shining taking advantage of Moonie. 14) I beg to differ. He's just a few steps away from becoming his father. 15) Equinox, Fiery, and Shining may be encouraging this behavior, but Midnight is fully responsible for his actions. It is why I thoroughly enjoy the scene between him and Cerise. It shows a stark contrast to their usual depictions and develops them in different ways (Cerise being far more assertive and putting her foot down, Midnight struggling with the pros and cons of being a hyper stallion.)
11385310 (1) Oh yeah I heard of that one. I think there's another that eats the host's brain from the inside and you only realize they're dead when the thing eats the part that controls one's mortor controls.
(4) If Beatrix were to have a nickel every time she was blamed for something, I think she'd have a small fortune by now. Maybe a hundred dollars.
(5) Oh! I didn't know that. Yeah, that makes him a rather unique changeling.
(6) Ah alright. Well, can't wait to see what else will come from him.
(8) Ah. From all the romances, how many were planned and how many weren't?
(9) but yet it's there. OooooOooooooOoooo (ghost sounds)
(13) I guess I'm a bit biased towards Fiery and Moonlight then, since Fiery to me hasn't done much yet, and Shining did took advantage of Moonlight in the most horrendous way. But I guess they did, are doing, or will do horrible things.
(14) So Shining Armor was guilty of these thoughts? Actually yeah I think earlier chapters Equinox is taunting Shining Armor for having these thoughts. I guess it's my bias plus his recent action towards Moonlight that's swinging my opinion against him so hard.
Also that he's not even a candle to the true knight that was Beatrix's Shining Armor.
And as for Midnight, he did do horrible things with Cerise thanks to Doppia, indirectly/directly lead to Shadow Scythe losing her horn, and would've attempted to breed everyone in the Manor. I was going to mention this but thought not to, but now that you pointed this out, I am now.
I think the reason I'm being lenient to Midnight is (1) I have bias because he's my OC, (2) he seems to always try to fight back or be guilty of his actions (3) most of his actions were done under the influence of someone else, whether a planted idea or being controlled (4) if you say Midnight is the early stage of Shining Armour, then comparing the two makes me think Midnight is in the better light when in reality he's slowly falling just like his father, like you said.
He *did* complain to Cerise about not having foals though, and unconsciously fucked her in their dreams.
(15) Yeah that is true. He sometimes is able to not get influenced but he's showing signs of cracking. With that, then it is true that Shining Armor had that exact same trajectory with Equinox tempting and eventually breaking him, along with Shining's lust getting the better of him? And FoE Shining Armor was the last stage of that downfall?
Thanks for making me broaden my viewpoint. This chapter was fun and packed with information The latest chapters from PoW and UaR were long, and I loved it!
11385409 8) Zell and Shadow Scythe we’re always going to work together in Everywhere and Nowhere, but their romance came about around mid way through production. I was kinda leaning into it, but it eventually settled into small hints before they properly change sides.
Also didn’t plan for Rhenaes having a love interest, but felt Ashen Dune would be a neat pick.
And Dion/Ebony likely originated from that one scene in the Bewitching Hour.
11385450 Really like the Zeloph/Shadow Scythe romance, which I feel really expanded their characters! Rhenaes/Ashen Dunes surprised me, since my original idea was to have Cerise try and invite her into her herd, but it's given two characters with less screentime a chance to blossom!
nice work
