(1) I liked the dream section and how everything feels off. Omen telling Beatrix to not talk during a movie despite it only being the two of them was funny. Interesting how... Oneiromancers? Have different ways of looking at dreams and that for Omen it's a movie theatre.
Happy that Beatrix is happy that Oona, Mini Trix, and Abby are safe. Though wasn't rescued at that time though.
(2) Oh so Walpurgisnacht was already an event that had significance before, specifically when the Cult wanted Beatrix to become their Dark Messiah?
Though now not only is it the day that Tatyana and the rest of their alliance will attack Oona's world, but also be the day Abba will be born.
(3) Alright so let me process Omen's vision of Midnight.
Since this is a dream and not a future vision like with Walpurgisnacht, this is all happening in Midnight's mind. Nevertheless the danger of Midnight giving into his lust purely and losing his soul is a pretty much a real thing.
Is the grey hair something that exists now in his mane, or after a few months where the dream technically would be taking place, judging by Cerise and Moonlight being heavily pregnant.
Because yeah, Midnight does seem that he only has a year to live if he literally went from 20-30 to 50s or whatever Shining's age from Shining Force 2 was, in just a single in dream year! Or more likely 6 months.
But considering the massive danger Oona and Abba are going to face on Walpurgisnacht, which I assume is very close, and how it'll likely take time to help Midnight gain control and just help his dimension in general, yeah it's really going to seem like she'll have to choose between one or the other.
Though I would have to admit his dream does look pretty hot.
(4) Actually going back to Moonlight, I know this is a dream, but if Midnight found out what Shining did and was almost completely under Fiery's control by that point, I could imagine Midnight killing Shining. And who knows, this might end up pushing Midnight to fall into permanent lust earlier, because his herd just got attacked and within his decaying logic, naturally he has to begin fucking more mares to reclaim that honor.
(5) Midnight probably will die within a year, but I doubt his dimension will survive till then. Either ways, he might end up going wild really soon, and would probably end up going against them, especially if he was under Fiery. This problem again has to be dealt with, however I imagine even if Beatrix tried to help now, if she leaves to help Oona, all that progress would quickly be undone and Midnight would probably go wild either ways.
I think it's starting to look like Midnight's world is going to be doomed.
(6) Beatrix's reaction to Midnight plowing everyone was very nice to see. How he was pounding Rheneas, then Shadow, and then to her shock, herself! :0
(7) Yeah, a good number of people on the team could probably kill Midnight, especially Zeloph if he found out Shadow was being railed by Midnight. But that doesn't mean Midnight wouldn't try to fuck everyone. Oh and of course in his dream he's defeated/Tamed Alma, Cameillia, Esmeralda, and I wouldn't be surprised he'd think he could take on the others.
(8) Ooooooooo, Omen going to be banging Beatrix huh? Absolutely love this scene as well. Beatrix remembering all the times she fucked as she's riding Omen was so hot. Add the fantasy of her being knocked up, yeah this is very hot. Probably more than Midnight's. Close competition.
(9) Yeah, if only paradise did rule the world. But she has so much to carry on her shoulders. Especially since she probably would have to choose between her lover and Aba and her friends in Midnight's world. Especially since it could risk to the universe destabilizing enough to destroy it.
(10) Question, if Midnight's universe were to collapse, would it kill everyone inside of it or yeet those who don't belong here back to their own. Would the dimensions connected to it be able to exist for a bit longer before they too collapse or will everything die, including the foreign characters who don't belong there
(11) Love how the moment Oona appears next in line to get plowed Omen decides to turn Midnight's dream into a nightmare. He protec, he attac, but most importantly, he slaps Midnight with a quick reality chec.
Also something interesting I noticed is that Lightning isn't part of Midnight's herd. I'm guessing either she's off screen or that Midnight still views her as a sister and not an object yet?
Though correct me as I think he did view his sister lustfully already? Or was that only Shining Armor???
Also Demi Trix is part of the herd?! Though I imagined here she's now an adult due to how she ages from others influence?
(12) Yeah, Midnight just got nightmared. Though I half expected Midnight to see himself turn into a changeling. But either ways getting mauled until he woke up, since I assume Omen would be the one who controlled how long he'll endure the pain, would be a pretty horrific experience.
(13) Oof, yeah Cerise will not be happy if she sees that Midnight was fucking her in her sleep even if it was unconsciously.
(14) Oh dear, Midnight already developed grey hair? How old is his body right now. Instead of being... 19? Early 20s? He now appears to be late 20s, or 30s. That's like 10 years already gone in like two years since he joined the gang?!
(15) Oh dear, Equinox is here. She's been making things hard for him always. And she booped him?! This is an avengers level threat XD
And it seems she did effect him. Oh dear, he's going to be falling real soon. And probably might end up hurting his own sister if she ends up getting into the crossfire.
(16) Oof, just as he predicted, Cerise is very mad. Though I feel it would've been better for him to wait and try to apologize to her there. Tell her that he didn't mean to do it and that he doesn't know what to do? But no, he ran away. Now he's stuck with Equinox and his lust is taking more control of him.
Nobody's perfect though. But still waiting probably would've been better with hindsight.
(17) some reason Iclyn telling how Midnight viewed her ass was a tad funny, especially how she described his gaze.
(18) Really feel sad for Cerise. She's noticing that Midnight's love is being replaced with lust, how she feels he is (and has) been cheating on her. And that she knows he'll eventually fall to his lust and die early.
(19) Yeah things do look very complex for Beatrix. Luckily for her Iclyn is willing to help by offering to go to Oona's dimension instead. Honestly kind of nice to see this scene play out.
And then Iclyn ends up doing her usual thing, this time with Cerise, and how she and Midnight are responsible for Beatrix not being able to see her daughter or protect her love because they need to focus on Midnight. Ouch.
Because every single time Iclyn talks, she talks down hard, and is pretty much spot on. And yeah, maybe there is no cure. Though considering Shining took the experimental potion to become a fully fledged Hyper Stallion, maybe there's a way to revert those hormones? Put a real dampener on them? But she's probably right to at least tell Cerise that she should've thought of that possibility and controlled her husband more.
(20) I like Penumbra's conversation with Cerise. Two siblings talking with each other, one helping the other deal with her problems. Self reflections of his own darkness that could control him, derived from his father when he was evil. It was a wholesome scene.
(21) oh shoot the house is gone. Well, hope nobody forgot something there.
(22) Moonlight wearing maid costume?! XD And now Chezka and Panna are now here. Now time for Moon Hammer to pry information from them instead!
Uno reverse card.
(23) So Moonlight escaped through the vent, she's venting (sus) before she heard Panna talk about Midnight's Hyper Stallion cock.
Does this imply that Moon Hammer is bigger than Midnight? :0
Though I think Moonlight already knows? So that means if she encounters Cerise and tells her this information Cerise and the rest will now know that Midnight cheated and that he's being manipulated by Fiery.
Didn't know Chezka secretly didn't like that she's now bounded to Fiery. Maybe she could be of use?
Like the game they're playing of taking the other's info.
(24) Oh shoot, they have a captured changeling queen? (Proto queen as later revealed) Feel really bad about her. She's the few that didn't deserve the treatment and yet got it all. Chrysalis is the true threat here, the rest of her changelings either can't help but follow her or get hunted by her.
And of course Fiery plans to use Midnight to create their own changeling swarm of Hyper Stallion hybrids. Eh...
Yeah Fiery is now insane. He was ok before but now he's insane. If Thunder Storm was alive he would've checked both Fiery and Shining, but without him Fiery is going so deep that he's doing so many terrible things. So this is the sins Fiery is making.
Honestly thought he would do things the normal way, pair Midnight with selected mares to breed. But this is twisted. Could it work? Maybe, changelings probably have faster growth. Is it twisted?
Definitely!
(25) It was nice seeing Moonlight interact with Marathyssa. Though now it shows that Shining Armor took care of Marathyssa and it's Fiery who started the terrible things with her?
The Boulder feels conflicted about this.
Maybe it's because Shining for once understood the situation she was in? And felt pity? A victim of Chrysalis, not a enemy. But Fiery just views her as an enemy, and now a tool to bring devastation back to the changelings and win.
Either ways, hopefully Moonlight saves Marathyssa and Midnight from their fate.
(26) Oh dear. The coup is now officially starting! Who'll win? Both committed bad things and are twisted. At least Fiery is telling his soldiers to spare. Though given that they're in war with Equestria it's more of a need to have more to fight with than morality?
As weird as it is, Shining would be probably look like a hero to those cadets he saved, despite the fact that in order to get that strength he had Moonlight 'sacrifice' to him. Gotta say though, the fact that Fiery's soldiers still charged towards Shining even when they saw how he quickly dispatched the archers showed their loyalty or fanaticalism to Fiery and their goal to finally defeat the changelings. Cause according to Fiery, Shining is what held them back.
Honestly, it's the 'minor character's who should be remembered. They're always the one who suffer whenever something bad happen. The Proto Queen suffered under Chrysalis and then Fiery's soldiers, and his soldiers are in turn are being killed by a Shining who isn't a good guy either.
*Salutes to all the fallen*
(27) I was going to say how this should've been a fight between just Fiery and Shining instead of letting dozens die in the crossfire, but looks like they're going to duel now.
Still rooting for Fiery though. well, not as much really. More like interested in seeing who'll win.
(28) Both Shining and Fiery have descended far below the depths. Thunder Storm could only shake his head at this.
(29) Though if spells are prohibited, surely potions that boosts one's strength are too right?
(30) I'm surprised even after all Shining did to her Moonlight threw herself to protect him, only for Shining Armor to push her out of the way.
Like, what she's thinking is right. Fiery is going to use a changeling and Midnight, basically sacrifice the two of them, to create an army to fight against the changelings. She's going to lose a friend, which is more terrible to her than saving somebody who betrayed her.
But from Fiery's POV where all must be done to win, he would see that sacrifice as a worthy trade off. Even if Fiery was close to Midnight, say as an uncle, he probably would still sacrifice him. And Fiery was willing to settle this all on a duel where he could lose and all of his plans would be destroyed. But it was necessary so that Equestria can live on.
(31) I wonder what Fiery was thinking when Moonlight begged him to spare Shining. Like surely he probably thought of how Shining could potentially get strong again and next time kill him. I think realistically it's to appeal to the others that he's not evil. Even if all his actions are bad, he could say they were all for the betterment of Equestria, but if he killed Shining it would paint him in a bad light.
But maybe, he remembered Thunder Storm? And that Thunder Storm would totally spare Shining in Fiery's place. But nah I think it's what I said before, make sure he doesn't look bad.
(32) Oh dear, Moonlight won't be able to warn Midnight, Cerise, etc. And probably Moon Hammer either until the group returned, as I imagine the Empire would have martial law passed. And by the time Beatrix found out, Midnight would probably already be pounding Marathyssa.
(33) Ah, so Chrysalis now knows that Fiery is now in charge. And I'm presuming she'll decide to hold back no longer and begin her massive assault since this time Equestria has Fiery, who'll do whatever it takes to win.
Which would be exactly what she probably did if she attacked Equestria due to Thunder Storm forming the Peace Keepers here. Along with the Canterlot Wedding offering so many ponies to draw love from.
This would spell disaster for Fiery's new regimen which now has to contend with potential defeats as the changelings begin their final campaign to see who will finally rule over the world.
(34) Honestly I'm still on Fiery's side, but more as in to see what he'll do now instead of thinking he's going to make things right.
Because even if he wins against the Changelings, what's next? He'll soon find himself in a position where war is no longer needed, he is no longer needed, and yet there's no princess, no leader, nobody, but him. I doubt he'll let go of his power by that point. Instead he'll probably try to validate himself as the new *ruler* of Equestria instead of just the Supreme Commander.
He's probably one of the best fielding soldiers and passing laws concerning the military, but economics, politics? Maybe not so much. Even Thunder Storm probably would slowly back away at the thought. But unlike Thunder Storm who might allow the people to find a democracy, Fiery would probably form a militaristic state.
It's kind of sad because I don't think Equestria would survive afterwards. The nation would most likely split and then it'll be a ton of nation states fighting each other, the world slowly going dark until finally everyone died.
Especially since the Eldritch still exists. One way or another everyone would die.
Forget their dimension ready to collapse, their world is probably doomed to die. There's no escape.
(35) Is heaven a universal thing that isn't affected by dimensions collapsing, or is there a heaven per each dimension and once the dimension collapses heaven and hell for that world cease to exist?
(36) Overall great read! Loved all the parts! And it looks like Fiery is now leader, Midnight is decaying more and more to lust to the point where it's having visible effects, and Beatrix is still in a tough spot. Can't wait to read PoW or UaR, whichever is next.
11403030 2) I'm not sure Walpurgisnatch was ever mentioned during Beatrix's feud with the CotN, but I thought it would be a neat thing to update to existing lore. 4) That's a likely possibility, yes. 10) Think of it like a hole. The multiverse is collapsing in on itself, meaning the hole starts off small but then quickly expands. So when one world falls, the rest will follow. 11) Both he and Shining view Lightning as a lust object still. Also, Demi-Trix is viewed as she is. 14) I'm gonna go and say somewhere in the mid-'30s. 19) It would take someone of great science to turn the pills into an antidote essentially. 23) Moon Hammer's a pretty beefy boi, so it's pretty likely he's packing more heat. It would be a funny scenario to have all the male heroes line up for someone (likely Bea and/or Moxxi) to measure!
I think the amazons have a pretty good chance of turning on Fiery if they find someone else worthy of their time. Not necessarily Moon Hammer, as he has Strawberry and Blue, but definitely someone else of similar stature and power! 24) Fiery's a pretty tactical schemer. It's not insanity; he is just unafraid of doing whatever it takes to get what he wants. 31) Fiery sees Moonlight defending Shining for what it is. A pathetic whelp who can't let go of the past. Fiery's long since gotten over Thunder's death and is moving on for the better of his future. 33) Chrysalis will be making her move next chapter. I think this is the longest we've held up from introducing the central antagonist to a story. Though in reality, the unstable environment is the main villain here. Because no matter who wins this war, it won't stop oblivion. 35) The topic of 'heaven' will likely be discussed with the Demi-human's storyline.
11403058 (1) well it was an Interesting addition! Liked it. (4) Like if whatever's going to happen with Equinox doesn't fully corrupt him, that part could. Twisting his honor into lust would be the final straw. (10) Oof. So it wouldn't matter if those foreign to his dimension die or not as they'll soon follow right? (11) Ah. That makes me a bit worried if Equinox triggers Midnight and Lightning is nearby. Though then Web Spinner is there.
Wait they don't know Web Spinner is a non aligned changeling and even if, Midnight will probably fight Web Spinner anyways. His fight to protect Lightning from Web Spinner or just any other changeling that tries to jump them could end up unleashing his pure wild for onto all of them. Oh no!
I would find it a tad ironic that the dispatched unit sent to fetch Midnight arrests him but in reality they'll be sending him straight to Marathyssa to breed.
(19) Perhaps the changelings would ironically be the greatest asset to curing them as the changelings are very good at changing hormones. Though trying to revert his Hyper side would through hormones would probably yield the same effect as asking a changeling to not steal love but share it.
In other words, possible (Thorax) but *very* hard.
(23) Yeah it would! I forgot to mention this, but Shadow Scythe calling Zeloph's size puny in Midnight's dream sounded like a reference to the pool scene where Zeloph in his cherub form is like "oh heavens no!" when Dion asks him to show his size.
I wouldn't be surprised though if Zeloph at full size is actually very big, compared to humans, and moderately big compared to anthro ponies.
Yeah, it would be kind of like a sequel to the chest size drawing you made.
(23 pt2) Probably Midnight when he's wild. Also he'll probably turn on Fiery even if Fiery willingly gives Midnight his wives, just because Fiery is their husband by title.
(24) Ah, so it is just him doing what he views what needs to be done eh?
(31) Aw, that's sad. Sad that Fiery forgot about the stallion who called him his brother. Would explain why he has absolute no problem sacrificing Midnight. Cause technically Midnight is Shining's son. Maybe he's happy that not only will Midnight help save Equestria through his seed, but Shining will be forced to see his son die, though Shining might've become so distant he probably would barely feel it. Though guilt could be an emotion?
(33) Yeah, I guessed that. Once Fiery became in charge she'll attack because Equestria would be at their most weakest, trying to reorganize their forces.
But yeah, it wouldn't have mattered if Chrysalis, Fiery, or Shining won at the end, because if heir dimension falls it's all over.
11403030 3. Midnight's hair has probably started to gray in a few areas he hasn't noticed, just an occasional hair so far, but it's a warning of what could happen if he pushes himself continually.
10. Everyone currently there would die, although some might be able to escape by portal. However there's no guarantee that would work either as things unravel...
Connected dimensions would receive a domino effect which could damage and potentially destroy them.
11. Think Lightning was there in the original script, not sure if I forgot or it was edited out. And yes, Demi-Trix would be an adult!
23. Yep, Moon Hammer is bigger!
29. In Shining's mind, a hyper-stallion is simply what he's meant to be, so not a cheat. Fiery would probably allow it if aware to definitively prove he's superior.
30. Shining was practically an uncle to Moonlight so she still cares about him, despite the rage, betrayal, sadness, and guilt he made her feel. She doesn't want him dead but doesn't want to be around him, either.
31. Pretty much, Fiery realized executing Shining might turn the people against him, so showed 'mercy'.
35. Kind of both, each has its own heaven but like dimensions are connected.
11403093 (3) And push himself he is. He probably didn't notice due to how much he has. I'm surprised Shining immediately felt the force of 10 years passing by with just that one fight with Fiery though. It's like the whole Super Soldier Captain America gone wrong!
(10) Oh no! So if Beatrix did leave and the dimension collapsed, all of her friends would die?! Though maybe by that point Zeloph could master his sword and save as much as he can? Though I feel those native to Midnight's world would die either ways.
Midnight slowly glitching outside of existence sounds horrifying for Cerise. Though maybe in order to stabilize his world all of their souls must work together. OC souls are probably the strongest, able to define or have a better chance at changing their fate.
Who knows, maybe as he's dying Midnight and the rest can use their souls to stabilize their world enough for everyone to leave before 'boom' their world implodes. Like if his soul is currently powering his wild side it could stabilize the world with the rest.
Sorry just using Undertale stuff. And there *is* a locket out there. Which could have evidence of their dimension before Beatrix changed it. Chaos energy. DETERMINATION!
Yeah, random idea XD
(11) At the same time, maybe it's part of his slipping subconcious telling him to stop falling? But she probably was there out of view.
(23) A Hyper Stallion beaten? IMPOSSIBLE- *Omen gives Midnight a reality check XD*
(30) Yeah that what I also kind of feeling. Also Fiery is going to end up killing Midnight with his plan. And maybe Shining as he's walking and slowly fading away has that memory flash and decides that if he's going to die, he'll do the right thing in order to make things right?
Though he sounds that he has descended very far. But it would be good if he did change. Final redemption.
(31) Like he would still have those on his side but it would be such a waste of resources and men if he killed Shining and this trigger a brutal counter attack. His men could probably win but they'd have less soldiers.
(35) Ah so if Midnight's heaven dimension fell them it would cause all the other planes to fall?
So kind of like the Burning King? Or is it just limited to the dimensions Beatrix ever visited?
(10) Yeah, so she would stay. If the dimension collapsed she'd help them escape, and if not, she'll go down with the ship?
(30) Hopefully. It would be good to see a redemption. Or he might get killed as Chrysalis would know Shining was overthrown, so she could try and take him for herself or maybe use him as a puppet, trick and puppet his followers and engage an even more vicious assault.
(31) the danger of civil war is still around. But not as great since Fiery "spared" Shining.
(35) So all dimensions from all the multiverse would fall?
The House is s Manifestation of the Necronomicon. That entire world needs to remember their past. They have no future, and no longer care.
It's weird. In Folklore's own world Serpent Equines and Dragons, Changelings, Strigoi, several Demon Worshipers, Great Old One and Outer God Worshipers, and Mad Ordinary Ponies stumbling into power beyond their comprehension all attempted to be the masters of the world. Yet not one of them managed to have the whole world or hold on to what they did take beyond a century or two. Sure The Serpent Equines and Dragons ruled a whole continent but that was a million years before the show before Equines ever existed. And before them The Elder Things and the Start Spawn of Cthulhu waged wars all over the planet even before the dinosaurs. Folklore himself only knows up until before the Hyborean Age.
There is a paradox, with so many Empires, and Species veying for controll of the planet the irony is they thawerted eachorher out of the necessary power and resources to actually succeed.
11404518 Interesting theory, in truth I don't know what the house is since Notaponyperson came up with the idea, my guess was that it's a dream manifestation? Although I'm not sure Omen is capable of that?
nice work and this problem of midnight is kinda frightening
(1) I liked the dream section and how everything feels off. Omen telling Beatrix to not talk during a movie despite it only being the two of them was funny. Interesting how... Oneiromancers? Have different ways of looking at dreams and that for Omen it's a movie theatre.

2) I'm not sure Walpurgisnatch was ever mentioned during Beatrix's feud with the CotN, but I thought it would be a neat thing to update to existing lore.

(1) well it was an Interesting addition!
(35) Alright. Can't wait to see it!

11403093
(3) And push himself he is.
IMPOSSIBLE-
*Omen gives Midnight a reality check XD*
11403102
3. Basically, experimental formula combined with Shining pushing himself too fast before his body was used to it.
10. Yeah, Beatrix would lose a whole bunch of those closest to her at once! Don't think she could face Cerise's family if she died...
30. Shining has an opportunity to begin his redemption, we'll see if he lives long enough and decides to take it!
31. It could start a potential civil war, as those on the fence might decide to unite and try to drive out Fiery.
35. Yes, I see the multiverse as a web; Beatrix has tangled the threads but they're still connected, albeit frayed.
11403124
(3) Oh no! How terrible.
11403136
10. Most likely yes.
35. Probably a chunk of them, but unlikely all of them.
11403148
(10) Oof
(35) ouch.
Well this was a good read. Thank you.
11403163
Thanks for reading and commenting!
11403165
You're welcome.
11404518
Interesting theory, in truth I don't know what the house is since Notaponyperson came up with the idea, my guess was that it's a dream manifestation? Although I'm not sure Omen is capable of that?
11404659
Your guess is as good as mine.
