Why Me?

Hi. I'm Fluttershy. I am here to tell you about my secret. That's right, my secret crush. I tore out a page in my diary for you to read. Hope you enjoy!

Dear Diary,

Today Angel-Bunny was a picky eater again, so I had to go to the shops. Angel wanted a big Ice Cream Sundae. As I was walking I imaged sharing that sundae with a very special somepony. It was Hearts and Hooves day after all. You see diary, I have never had a somepony. I get sad sometimes. Thinking, maybe nopony likes me, or maybe I'm ugly. I hoped for one someony this year. So I bought an Ice Cream Sundae for Angel and went home.

I fed Angel and the rest of the animals. I told him that I would be gone for a few hours. Being desperate for a somepony, I let Pinkie Pie babysit the animals. I headed over to Twilight's house hoping she could help me. I knocked on her front door. Spike opened it. He let me in and told me Twilight wasn't home but he was happy to help. Spike and I went to the kitchen for some coffee to help us stay awake. It had a bitter taste. Your lucky you don't have taste buds, diary.

Spike looked in the east side of the library, while I looked in the west side. We were looking for something to help me get a somepony. After hours of looking we took a break. Spike asked me if we could walk around and look for Twilight. I said yes. We found her in the park reading a book. I went and talked to her. I said "Twilight? Could you come back to the library with me and Spike? We need a little help finding something." She said she would come. Together we walked back. Along the way Applejack decided to come with us. She was at the shops selling apples and sold out. So she needed something to do.

Back at the library, we began work at once. Spike, Applejack, and I look on the bookshelves while Twilight looked to see if anypony checked a book out. After 20 minutes Twilight had found something. She found out that Sweetiebelle, Applebloom, and Scootaloo had taken a potion book out. We went to their tree-house to look. At the tree-house nopony was there. I went inside. The book was laying in the middle of the floor. "I got it. It's here!" I called.

I climbed out of the tree-house. All of us went back to the library. We looked in the book and found a love potion. First we needed one piece of hair from an Earth pony. We looked at Applejack. she said "Nope. Don't look at me. N. O." Twilight's horn glowed. Then Applejack's tail moved. A single piece of hair floated over. "Oh. Hehe. That didn't hurt." said Applejack. We put the hair in a jar. Next was water. Seemed easy right? No. We had to get water from a spring.

"I'll call Rainbow Dash. Maybe she can fly over Ponyville and find one." I said. I called Rainbow and she came right over. "So you need to find a spring?" asked Rainbow. "Yes. Do you know where one is?" asked Twilight. Rainbow smiled. "Yes. Yes I do. Inside your bed." she said with a smirk. Applejack face-hoofed. "REALLY Rainbow?! Not that kind of spring. A water spring." said Applejack. Rainbow giggled then flew out the door looking for a spring. Awhile past so we played go fish.

After an hour she came back. She told us there where none in Ponyville. She also said that she talked to Zecora. "Zecora said there was one behind her house. She told us to come by later." said Rainbow. Before we left it said the other ingredient the a piece of cloud. I flew up and got some. We put it in the jar and headed toward Zecora's house. At last we came to the edge of the Everfree Forest. We walked down the path and got to her house. "Hey Zecora! We're here." I said. "So you want the spring, for some romance thing?" asked Zercora. "Yes can you show us?" asked Spike.

"Follow me and you'll see." said Zecora. We followed her behind the house. "Take what you what, I'll be in the front." Zecora walked to the front of the house. We got some water and said good-bye to her. Back at the library the potion had turned pink. "Now all you have to do is give it to your special somepony." said Applejack. "Thanks for helping guys. It means a lot." I said. With that we all went our separate ways.

When I got home I set the potion on the counter. I went to the bathroom and came back out to banging on the door. I opened it to see Applejack. She was sweating and out of breath. "Applejack? Are you OK?" I asked. "Oh Nelly this is bad. Real bad." she panted. "Take a deep breath and calm down." I told her. "Now, what's wrong?" She and I walked to her farm without a word spoken.

"It's Big Mac. He's gone all lovey-dovey for Miss Cheerilee." said she. "WHAT! WHAT! HE WILL LOVE MEEEE!!!" I screamed. Granny Smith looked at us. "My big baby boys getting married? Oh, this is great news." Applejack face-hoofed again. "Come on Fluttershy. We need it find Big Mac." said Applejack. I blushed. We ran back to my house. "OK. You stay here I'll get the potion." I said.

When I got inside, Angel was dancing. He looked at me, his eyes wider then ever. His fluffy tail fluffier. "Oh no." I whispered. I flew to the kitchen. The glass was knocked on the floor, but no potion inside. Angel ran over and grabbed my leg. He wouldn't let go. I flew to Applejack outside, Angel still holding on to my leg. "Applejack. I think Angel drank the potion." I whimpered. "O.M.D.A.A." said Applejack. "What is that supposed to mean?!" I asked. "Oh my dear Apple Acres." said Applejack. "Whatever. Let's go find Big Mac." I said annoyed.

When we got to town there was a large, deep mark in the ground. We followed it. It lead it BerryPunch's house. "Oh my." I thought. We kept going. We stopped when we found Sweetiebelle, Applebloom, and Scootaloo. "Hi big sis!" said Applebloom. Applejack gave her the stare. Right next to them was a giant hole. Applejack and I peered down. "Hey Big Mac. Miss Cheerilee. Having fun yet?" smirked Applejack. "N-N-O-P-E." said Big Mac. Big Mac gave her a evil look, then smiled at me. I felt my cheeks turn red. My legs wobbled. We helped them out of the hole. "Hey Big Mac?" I asked shyly. "Yes?" he smiled. We stared into each others eyes. Then he looked at my feet. "Umm. The bunny?"

"Oh man! I have to go!" I hurried away. I got to Twilight's and she knew right away. She found a potion to break the spell and fed it to Angel. "Thanks." I said. I walked out the door. I went to Sweet Apple Acres. Right before I knocked on the door I stopped."WHAT AM I THINKING!" I thought. Then Big Mac opened the door. "E-E-Y-U-P" he said. "Next year." He walked back inside. "Thanks!" I called to him.

Well I didn't get what I intended. I got a somebunny. Not a somepony. Big Mac said next year and thats what counts. But I also feel sorry for BerryPunch. She wouldn't have to move her house back in place if I got the book before the girls. Ah well. Thanks for reading and listening, diary.

Let me give you some advice.

I think you should read some more stories on the site. Look at how they describe things as they go along. This story didn't have much description, it lacked a personality and Fluttershy got way OOC.

It doesn't seem like you tried either. Try again when you have more experience under your hooves.

Wha-What the naturally I can't see why so many people are constantly making fluttermac stories not that their bad are anything it's just how are they compatible in anyway, but your story not to be rude but it could use some more work you have fluttershy's personality completely off watch some other stories and pay attention to the episodes if you watch them.

On the whole I liked this story. I mean it has a lot more potential chilling in the backseat, but what story doesn't? I love the way you use the whole diary story angle but you must keep in mind about who exactly is writing it. Big Macintosh's final line "next year" was an amazing touch, and the whole thing with Angel was hilarious :3 keep up the good work.
