That's definitely not what I'm trying to convey with this story. I want to write a story where the characters aren't as black and white as they are in the show; everyone fucks up, even the Princesses. If, by the end of this story, you struggle to know how you feel about at least one of the alicorns to some extent, then I've written my story right!

I'm not sure if you saw the other comments, but just in case you were unsure because of alicorn Twilight: She's a princess because I'm a forgetful fuck and forgot that she doesn't ascend until later in the series, so the short explanation is that she got her wings from the Canterlot Wedding instead of Starswirl's Spell in this universe.
