A retelling of the Crystal Empire's history, and what might have happened if King Sombra had managed to "win" for just long enough to explain why Princess Celestia's side of history is wrong.
10608146 Y'know, I probably should have specified that! But, as you (and hopefully most other readers) may have deduced from the lack of Starlight Glimmer (and various other Season 9 plot points ), this is Season 3 Sombra. I'm not sure if you saw the other comments, but just in case you were unsure because of alicorn Twilight: She's a princess because I'm a forgetful fuck and forgot that she doesn't ascend until later in the series, so the short explanation is that she got her wings from the Canterlot Wedding instead of Starswirl's Spell in this universe.

Luckily for you, the next chapter's out! And it's a heck of a doozy
So which Sombra are we talking about here? Season three or season nine?
Did I ever mention- WOW that's a doozy!

Now that's a hell of a cliff hanger line!
Very nice, give a very "Dracula untold" feel ti the story. Would like to see where this goes.
I didn’t expect that twist.
